Roblox music codes 2021 – the best song IDs

Looking for Roblox music codes? There are thousands of popular songs available to listen to in Roblox, simply by entering music ID codes into your boombox or the radio. Using song IDs, you can play your favourite TikTok songs in games with your friends.

So how do you play music in Roblox? The method varies depending on which game you want to blast your tunes in. Some games allow you free access to the boombox - simply equip and press it to bring up a text box in which you can enter a song ID code. Catalog Heaven is a great place to test the codes you find, as it allows you to equip any boombox in the shop and try it out.

In most games, however, you'll need to use the radio to play music. This is usually part of a paid Game Pass - the price of a Game Pass is set by each game developer individually. Once you have access to the radio, you can use it in the same way as the boombox - simply enter the song ID code and press play. Occasionally, tracks are taken down by Roblox, so if a code stops working, you'll have to look for a replacement. Here are the best radio music codes in Roblox that work in December 2021:

You can now play Dota 2 with any controller supported by Steam Input

Peripheral support for MOBAs on PC has typically remained exclusive to the tried and tested mouse and keyboard, save for exceptional games like Smite. However, as part of the Aghanim's Labyrinth: The Continuum Conundrum update, Valve has unexpectedly enabled controller support for Dota 2.

Valve says that anything supported by Steam Input should work, which includes pads from Xbox, PlayStation, as well as the Nintendo Switch Pro and Steam controller. If you're curious enough to try the feature, all heroes should be playable, but how well their kits fit on a controller will undoubtedly vary. We've also provided a guide on how to enable it further down.

It's worth noting, however, that the company specifically describes the feature as "experimental" and doesn't believe that it's quite ready for everyone just yet. Thankfully, you can quickly swap back to mouse and keyboard from controller (or vice versa) at any point during a match.

Stranger of Paradise devs show off reimagined Final Fantasy I characters and locations

Square Enix and Team Ninja have just dropped a heap of new information on the upcoming action-RPG Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. You've got a fresh peep at the job system, though some of the reimagined locations and characters from Final Fantasy I may catch your eye.

The Western Keep and The Flying Fortress are two castles you can visit in Final Fantasy I, though Team Ninja has given them a suitable makeover here. You've also got the Crystal Mirage tower, which could be based on the Mirage Tower from FFI or a nod to FFIII. While Final Fantasy Origin's Crystal Tower lies deep in a forest, FFI's Mirage Tower is located in the middle of a desert.

During your adventuring in Stranger of Paradise, you'll stumble across the king of the dark elves, Astos, in the Western Keep. In Final Fantasy I, you find him there disguised as a king before having a wee scrap. You've also got the multi-headed dragon Tiamat. Square Enix isn't giving much away, aside from her preference for wind-element attacks, but in Final Fantasy I you fight her atop the Flying Fortress.

Indie games publisher Devolver Digital is headed to W.A.S.D. 2022

Devolver Digital - the indie games publisher behind hits like Loop Hero, Death's Door, Inscryption, and many others - is headed to the first ever W.A.S.D. videogame event next year. While we don't know exactly what the studio will be showcasing just yet, it sounds like it'll have a pretty big presence there.

W.A.S.D. is a new videogame event headed to the United Kingdom in 2022, taking place at Tobacco Dock as part of the London Games Festival, which will have a big consumer emphasis. There'll be the chance for attendees to try some games, meet some content creators, and hear about new and upcoming games from developers themselves. Devolver Digital has now confirmed it'll be heading to the show, and will be taking three rooms on the show floor - so, while the company hasn't revealed what it'll be showing at the event, it sounds like there'll be plenty to check out.

We can always hazard a bit of a guess, though. We know the publisher's got games such as Shadow Warrior 3, Terra Nil, and Cult of the Lamb among others in the pipeline, so perhaps we'll get a peek at some of these when the show rolls around.

Your gaming PC won't care, but monstrous 96GB DDR5 RAM modules are coming

RAM is undeniably an important component, but if your rig is rocking 16GB, you're probably good to go. Sure, Dean Hall (the creator of DayZ) recommends an exuberant 32GB to play his latest brainchild, Icarus, but most other Steam games cap their requirements pretty low.  Despite this, SK Hynix sets its sights ever higher, and its latest endeavour could equip DDR5 compatible gaming PCs with near 100GB.

According to SK Hynix's recent press release, the company plans to release new DDR5 48GB and 96GB RAM kits, and it'll become the first to produce DRAM with a density of 24Gb, up from 16Gb. The new design also improves production efficiency, meaning it can manufacture the modules 33% faster.

SK Hynix also says its new DDR5 modules will consume 25% less power than previous products, a feature that contributes to the company's goal of reducing carbon emissions.

Want to know how to complete the Halo Infinite weekly challenges? Every week you can unlock a free cosmetic for your Spartan. Challenges can be found in the battle pass menu and it lists the current active challenges and upcoming challenges. Each challenge is colour-coded by difficulty, so bright grey challenges are the easiest, the bluish-grey challenges are of medium difficulty, and the bright blue ones are the most challenging. One of the upcoming challenges will take its place when you complete a challenge, though which challenge it is, is random.

Once you've completed each challenge, you're given one more challenge before you can claim your weekly reward. This challenge is the same for everyone. In this guide, we'll give you tips on how to complete the Halo Infinite weekly challenges in your queue, explain what the weekly ultimate challenge is, and what the weekly ultimate challenge reward is for this week.

SteamOS 3 may require around 15% of the 64GB Steam Deck's internal storage

Exciting as the Steam Deck is by virtue of being a handheld gaming PC, let alone one made by Valve, the company's decision to use a Linux-based operating system has risen some eyebrows. While we can't say for certain how intuitive or stable SteamOS 3 is until we get hands-on with it, we now know what kind of footprint it will have on the Steam Deck's internal storage.

According to release notes for SteamOS image 20211120.2 shared by MetaCouncil forum member Madjoki, the operating system will take up 10GB of space (around 15% of the 64GB Steam Deck's eMMC storage). It apparently took up 24GB prior to this build, so it's possible that Valve could reduce the size of its OS even further prior to the Steam Deck's new release date.

By comparison, 64-bit versions of Windows 10 require 20GB+ from your gaming PC's storage solution. SteamOS 3 seems even more lightweight when compared to Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch consoles, which each reserve around 20% of internal storage for their respective operating systems.

     The best Civ 6 mods

So, you want to know about Civ 6 mods? Civilization VI is still one of the most popular strategy games around right now, despite strong contenders rising to the challenge. The secret to the success of a lot of games - especially on PC - is the potential that mods and other user-generated content can bring to the table. The Civ 6 mod scene is just as robust as any other, and there are plenty of interesting options for you to spice up your next play-through.

It's worth noting that, at the time of writing, the Civilization VI mods seems mainly to be about smaller UI or quality of life mods. There aren't the sweeping overhauls of say Total War or Paradox games; it's a bit like when you look at our XCOM 2 mods guide, where the main highlights are smaller content packs or UI improvements. These things can make all the difference though with a game a big as Civ.

Please note that, for the moment, we've only looked at the Steam Workshop to compile our initial list of Civ 6 mods - we will be looking at non-steam sources as well for future updates to see if there are still any interesting mods worth checking out that aren't on the Workshop.

Dota 2's Aghanim's Labyrinth mode is back with a new battle pass

Valve has brought back one of Dota 2's more popular modes for the holidays alongside a new battle pass. The Aghanim's Labyrinth: The Continuum Conundrum update is live now, so you can jump in and give it all a whirl for yourself.

Aghanim's Labyrinth sees you and three other players explore a vault to clean up the mess of Aghanim. You see, he's accidentally diluted his powers amongst a gang of alter Aghanims who have become lost inside the Continuum Vault, and it's your job to sort that all out. Runs through the vault aren't linear, so you'll get something new each time. You can also find and spend currency on permanent buffs or legendary heroes to make that next run a bit easier.

While we've seen the mode before, Valve has made some tweaks to freshen up the experience. You've got all-new event rooms that offer "tantalising and strange" choices to augment your run and a new roster of heroes to choose from. You don't need the new battle pass to play the mode, nor do you need to enter with a full group as a party finder feature is enabled.

Tactical RPGs – the best turn-based RPGs on PC

While this list may have a lot in common with our guide to the best RPG games, tactical RPGs - or turn-based RPGs -  tend to focus more on squad-based combat and have roots in the classic tabletop RPGs of old. Games in this niche are often turn-based strategy games, though to make the distinction relevant we're focusing on games with more pronounced RPG features.

It's less about the story itself, and more about how your character or characters evolve over time as they interact with the narrative, whatever it is. The nature of progression and the choices you can make means that your abilities and journey may never quite be the same across multiple playthroughs, and unlike traditional RPGs there are more tools focused on tracking these changes and evolution over time. They're also about just offering some really robust combat mechanics, making best use of your squad as a team working towards a common goal.

Whether you're saving the entire planet or guiding a band of misfits around in a struggle for survival, there are plenty of great options available, so let's take a look at some of the best turn-based RPGs on PC.

The Necrons are coming to Warhammer 40K strategy game Battlesector

Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is getting a major new update and a race expansion following the strategy game's release back in July. The Necrons are coming and they will be bringing with them 14 new units, unique gameplay mechanics, and an assortment of weapon types and abilities.

Key mechanics for the Necrons expansion will be the 'Reanimation Protocol', which lets Necrons reanimate fallen comrades, as well as their own unique interaction with the momentum mechanic from the base game. Necron HQ leaders will have access to special command protocols that can augment troops, as well as devastating area-of-effect abilities that can deal with the hordes of the Tyranids.

Even outside of the Necrons' touchstone abilities, the troops on are a force to be reckoned with, perfectly fitting the faction's natural penchant for destruction. Necron Warriors, Immortals, Triarch Praetorians, Hexmark Destroyers - they're all coming to Battlesector, and you are not ready. The faction also have some potent long-range support units, as well as the Doom Scythes who can strike from above behind enemy lines.

The best Genshin Impact Gorou build

Want to know what the best Genshin Impact Gorou build is? The new Genshin Impact character Gorou is unique, and it's not just because he's a Geo bow user. Any damage done with his skills uses his defence stat, but for the best build, it's not worth raising his defence to astronomical degrees to make him more DPS-focused. Instead, he's best suited to supporting other Geo users. Why specifically Geo? It's all because of his elemental skills.

Gorou's skills become more potent the more Geo users there are on your team. You only get the full benefits if you have three Geo users and one character of another element. It makes him fantastic at supporting the best Genshin Impact Itto build to ensure it deals the maximum damage possible. His skills also work well with the best Genshin Impact Albedo build since Albedo's abilities synergise with Gorou's nicely. Your final team member should be someone who can take advantage of the Crystalise Genshin Impact elemental reaction.

Here, you will find the best Gorou build, including which weapon and artifacts you should give him, why you should unlock his fourth constellation, and what role he plays as a support in your team.

How to overclock your CPU and GPU

Learning how to overclock the CPU and GPU safely used to be a task reserved for only those techies who live and breathe static. In 2021, however, overclocking is pretty straightforward. It might seem daunting at first, but advancements in technology have allowed for higher-level and more user-friendly overclocking experiences, making for a beginner-friendly process.

You could always learn how to install a graphics card or perform a CPU upgrade to boost fps, but these don't come cheap. Safely overclocking your CPU and GPU, on the other hand, is easier than it's ever been, helping you get extra performance from your components and squeeze out some more frames without paying a thing - unless you want to throw the best CPU cooler into the mix.

The argument for overclocking the best gaming CPU and best graphics card is stronger than ever right now, and there's very little reason not to. Just follow the simple steps below to get up and running. No soldering required. Or maths. Well... ok, there's a little bit of maths.

Upcoming PC games 2022 and beyond

What are the best upcoming games to keep an eye on this year and the next? Hope, anticipation, agony, and elation - it's the endless cycle of emotions we go through during the annual PC release schedule.

Year in, year out, games - via Steam and otherwise - are produced in such varying degrees of quality that not a single one of them is destined for certain success. So how can we possibly navigate the dizzying number of announcements, trailers, and teases to find which of the upcoming PC games we should devote our finite supply of hype to? Us old PCGamesN sages have been round the videogame block plenty of times already, so we're perfectly placed to tell you about the titles you should be saving your pennies up for. Below you'll find the upcoming PC games you should keep on your radar, as well as their expected release dates.

How to install a power supply

Whether you're building a gaming PC for the very first time, upgrading, or replacing parts, at some point you'll need to know how to install a power supply unit (PSU). Don't let the wiring get you down, though, as it can be a pain-free process. All you'll need is a screwdriver, easy access to your PC case, and maybe a little patience when it comes to how you manage cables.

PSUs are often an afterthought or at the bottom of a wishlist thanks to their less than flashy nature, but they are the backbone of any gaming PC. Nvidia, AMD, and Intel all try to make their components as efficient as possible, but the best graphics card and best gaming CPU still need a healthy chonk of power to run properly.

If you don't provide enough juice for your PC to function, that's when you'll experience crashes, BSODs, and dreaded short circuiting that risks your expensive parts - or worse. But don't fret. Just follow our guide on how to install a PSU and you'll be booted up in no time.

Nvidia Reflex explained: how to get low latency with your GeForce GPU

Nvidia Reflex Low Latency is yet another tool in the green team's arsenal that'll improve your gaming experience. Designed to lower input lag by up to 80%, Reflex aims to give you the edge in competitive FPS games, such as Fortnite, Call of Duty, and Valorant, by helping you hit your shots quicker, lowering the latency tax when you crank up your resolution, and potentially reducing peeker's advantage under the right conditions.

Nvidia Reflex is a proprietary technology and, much like DLSS and RTX, requires you to run a GeForce GPU. However, you don't need the best graphics card to benefit from it. Reflex should improve latency on anything from the GTX 900 series onwards, although higher-end cards like the RTX 3080 /will/ see better performance.

Reflex is a free feature and has next to no performance overhead, meaning you have little reason not to use it in supported games. Some of the best gaming monitor options from Asus, Acer, and Alienware also come with Reflex compatibility, so you might you're already equipped to experience Nvidia's graphics card tech.

I really don't like gaming chairs. They're expensive, often cumbersome, drastically over-designed things that lean way too heavily into the g4m3r aesthetic, and that's coming from someone who's built up something of a tolerance to it from years of unprotected RGB exposure. I've sat on them and have even shared homes with some of them, but have never, ever seen the appeal over a halfway decent office chair.

And then the Noblechairs Epic TX comes along, and it's got me rethinking.

I've been hands-on with Sifu, a beat 'em up action-adventure game by Absolver developers Sloclap. My hands weren't exactly "on", but more "around", actually. That's one thing I learned from my time with this kung-fu caper. To keep my fists flowing, I needed to be patient, and not mash the buttons. Seriously, slap those buttons with zero thought and you're dead.

Death in Sifu means you age, and if you die lots, you age faster. Hit 70 and you won't be rising from the dirt again. Instead, you'll have to start your quest for vengeance over from the beginning. While it can be tempting to cling onto your youth for this reason alone, I actually liked growing old, with my beard and my harder-hitting attacks. Not only do you develop a relationship with your body in Sifu, but your trips to the afterlife also help you master its myriad of moves. Sifu really does get better with age.

When I finished watching The Game Awards reveal trailer for Rumbleverse, the new Epic-published battle royale game that looks a bit like Fortnite but with melee combat, I raised a practiced eyebrow of derision. "Well, that looks terrible," chortled I, knowing full well that I'd still give it a go at the earliest opportunity because I am an absolute sucker for battle royales.

Two things happened later that day that I did not expect. First: I got the opportunity to dive into Rumbleverse's action-packed 40-player matches far earlier than I'd anticipated, as part of a one day early look at the game. I downloaded and installed it in short order, and jumped right in. Two hours later, at 1am in the morning as the servers shut down, I happened across a second, far more unexpected thing. I found myself absolutely desperate to play more. I've sunk thousands of hours into Apex Legends, Fortnite, Plunkbat, Hunt: Showdown, Warzone, and various other behemoths of the genre. Yet those two hours I spent playing Rumbleverse might be the most fun I've ever had in a battle royale.

Sifu Preview 1No matter how old I get, I will likely never stop liking brawler games. And Sifu is all about knocking the absolute crap out of nearly every person who stands in your way. In a recent hands-on preview, I got to check out part of one of Sifu's levels, which I played through twice. While the game is happy to dole out some serious beatdowns, it has some lenient aspects to it. Notably, in a mechanic much like the one found in Chronos: Before the Ashes.
