Among Us devs confirm friend lists in 2022 roadmap

Innersloth has pulled back the curtain on what's coming to Among Us in 2022. There are big additions like a new map and mode on the horizon, but also some welcome quality-of-life updates a little closer in time and even a gosh darn friend list.

"I know, I know, you've been asking for a friend list for ages! It's happening!" community director Victoria Tran says. "Finally, you'll be able to keep in contact with any crewmates you get along with … or keep tabs on your greatest enemies, I guess? We know a ton of you have found some lifelong friendships from this game, and that's really cool – we want to allow you to keep in touch and continue playing games together!"

Tran goes on to explain that quality-of-life tweaks will aim to make account creation, Cosmicube redemption, chat choice, and other aspects of the game less confusing. "You're basically experiencing the building of Among Us and our adjustment to its popularity with us," Tran says. "That being said, confusing you isn't the goal, so making improvements to the UX is also coming up next. Thanks for being patient with us!"

Looks like the Shadow Warrior 3 release date is set for March

Shadow Warrior 3, developer Flying Wild Hog and publisher Devolver Digital's upcoming action-fuelled FPS game, could be due to launch in less than two months. That's according to a store listing on the Xbox shop for a ore-order bundle that gives the game an early March release date.

The store listing gives the Shadow Warrior 3 release date as March 1, and there are some other exciting details, too. The pre-order bundle, which is currently priced at £41.74 / $49.99, will include not just the new game itself, but its two predecessors in the rebooted series and a limited edition katana skin, too. "Pre-order Shadow Warrior 3 and get instant access to the first two games in the series, Shadow Warrior and Shadow Warrior 2," the bundle page notes. That's a pretty good deal, especially if you've yet to try the 2013 and 2016 shooters and fancy giving them a whirl now the latest is on the near horizon.

In case you're new to series, the newest entry continues the story of series protagonist and "fallen corporate shogun" Lo Wang, who takes on a mission alongside his once-employer, once-nemesis, now-pal Orochi Zilla to "recapture an ancient dragon they unwillingly unleashed from its eternal prison".

Valheim server: how to set up a dedicated server for multiplayer

Looking to set up a Valheim server? Building majestic forts, slaying Valheim bosses, and raising tankards of mead with your pals is part of what makes Valheim such an addictive survival game - but the way Valheim multiplayer works can be easy to get wrong. You can create multiple characters, and their inventory and skill progression will transfer across multiple Valheim servers, allowing you to drop into a friend's server and set out on adventures together without having to start from scratch in a new map.

However, if you're not interested in playing on your own, and your Viking journey has taken place exclusively on a game server hosted by someone else, you've probably run into a few issues. Valheim is still in early access, so - in our experience - the connection isn't always stable, plus if you want to play while your game host is offline, you're out of luck.

That's where Valheim dedicated servers come in. You can either host a dedicated server on your PC for your friends to hop on to even when you're not playing, or you can pay for a hosting service to run one for you, 24/7. The good news is that you don't have to start from scratch in either case - we'll walk you through transferring your save file to your new Valheim server.

Looks like Fortnite is getting Tilted Towers and an Arcane Vi skin

After close to two years away, it's all but confirmed that Tilted Towers is returning to Fortnite. We've had a few teases before today's maintenance, but the datamines have come flooding in now that the update is available for download.

Twitter account Fortnite News has posted a picture of Titled Towers on the map, which is surrounded by land on three sides and a lake on the other. TweaBR, meanwhile, has shared a snap on Twitter of what the city looks like in-game without snow.

We've had some idea that Tilted Towers was making its return for a while now. As Epic Games is known to do, there have been several in-game teases of building tops being revealed by gradually melting snow. When Epic Games tweeted out the Fortnite 19.10 release time, the developer also shared an image of a city emoji. Prominent dataminer Hypex also reported earlier this month that we should be getting Tilted Towers soon, so the popular city's return has been on fans' minds for a while now.

Lost Ark devs reveal the MMO's character creation and customisation

With isometric fantasy MMORPG Lost Ark coming to European and North American regions very soon, developer Smilegate RPG and publisher Amazon Games have been showing off slices of the game to give us a flavour of what it's all about. We recently got an overview, a peep at Arkesia's world and lore, and now the devs have lifted the lid on character creation and customisation.

Creating your own character and making them truly your own is naturally a biggie in MMORPGs, where there'll be tons of players wandering the highways and byways and so you'll want to stand out from the crowd. The good news is it seems Lost Ark has a pretty generous set of options. First, you pick one of the 15 classes available at launch. That's made up of five base classes, including options such as warrior, mage, gunner, and so on, and a set of advanced classes.

With this selected, you'll get to see some of the fancy, class-specific armour sets you can work towards as you progress in the game. Naturally, you'll start off with something more homespun, but this view gives you an idea of what you'll be working towards, and there are multiple options per class. For your character's appearance, you can start from a base of one of many different presets and then adjust a wide range of options, with facial features, shapes, and characteristics customisable through both basic and advanced settings.

     Elden Ring bosses guide

Want to know how to beat the Elden Ring bosses? The most defining moments in any of the best Soulslike games are the tough boss fights. They can be tricky for several reasons: some are hard to hit consistently, others can squash you with just one attack. Elden Ring is also an open-world game, so as you'd expect, there are plenty of formidable foes with big health bars waiting to be discovered.

So far, all of the information we have on Elden Ring bosses comes from the network test last year. Therefore, their locations and item drops are subject to change in the final release. Since any region can have at least 13 bosses, keeping track of which ones you've beaten can be tough.

In this guide, you'll find a list of all of the Elden Ring bosses, where you can find them, which ones are mandatory, and what items they drop when you beat them. It's worth noting that, generally speaking, as you hunt them down, dungeon bosses are not as hard to kill as the major bosses. However, there are exceptions, so upgrading the Elden Ring Flash of Wondrous Physick can make all the difference.

League of Legends patch 12.2 notes – New Champion Zeri, Crystal Rose, Withered Rose, Porcelain, Firecracker skins

2022 is here, League of Legends fans, which means another year packed with gameplay updates, new champions to welcome to the MOBA game, and plenty of new skins. League of Legends patch 12.1 has headed to live servers, bringing a handful of item and champ changes and some snazzy new Elderwood skins. Now, it's time to see what the second patch of the Season 12 League of Legends patch schedule will bring.

The big news for 12.2 is the arrival of brand-new champion, Zeri. It seems she might have made a slightly premature debut as her universe and biography pages (which went live January 4) appear to have now been taken down, though we have an idea of what she's all about from the details that were offered in these when live. As reported by Surrenderat20, Zeri will be known as The Spark of Zaun, and will be a marksman champ who "channels her electric magic to charge herself and her custom-crafted gun". We don't know anything about her abilities beyond a few hints in the bio and universe info, but you can check out a fuller description in Zeri's section below.

Patch 12.2 also brings a whole bunch of new champion skins. Akshan and Janna are getting Crystal Rose skins, while Elise is getting a Withered Rose style. Then there are plenty of Porcelain and Firecracker skins to go around for others. You can take a look at all of these in the notes below.

Crossfire: Legion feels like a classic RTS game action movie

If you take the essential, exciting ingredients you remember from classic RTS games like Command & Conquer and StarCraft, and render them down into an intense stock, you get something like Crossfire: Legion. It's an upcoming strategy game from Homeworld developer Blackbird Interactive that emphasises its bombastic combat, while streamlining the fussy economy stuff enough to make it approachable for newcomers.

It's set in the near-future warscape of Crossfire, the massively popular Korean FPS game that launched in 2007. While it's not a household name in the West, it's a major phenomenon in Asia - according to SmileGate, Crossfire has a staggering 689 million players across 88 countries, and sees concurrent user counts that the top Steam games could only dream of. A Chinese television series based on Crossfire has racked up 1.8 billion views.

You don't really need to know anything about Crossfire to get into Crossfire: Legion, though. It's a pick-up-and-play RTS that instantly feels familiar if you've played any version of multiplayer StarCraft in the past 20 years. You start with a base structure, recruit workers to collect resources and build initial structures, and start pumping out units as quickly as possible.

Skateboard games: the best on PC 2022

Finding the best skateboard games on PC is no mean feat as the genre enjoyed its heyday during the PS2 and Xbox 360 console generation. Don't feel like you're in too deep, though, as plenty of these gems are on PC, too. They're just not on Steam as they came out when physical copies were all the rage. There's a memory to make you ask 'what's my age, again?'

Nothing quite captures a moment in time like a good skateboarding game. The mixture of balance and aggression in grinding a rail and the graceful swagger of transitioning into a manual with a kickflip thrown in for good measure. All that, naturally, backed by an energetic soundtrack that seamlessly switches from thrash metal belters and pop punk fare to classic West Coast hip hop - the best skateboarding games ooze with style.

We're not just reminiscing about old games here either, as we've also included a number of new and upcoming skateboard games that you may not have heard of. Here are some of the best skateboard games on PC.

Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti – release date, price, specs, and benchmarks

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 is a GPU juggernaut, and it's currently one of the best graphics cards on the market. While the RTX 4000 series will likely replace the current flagship at some point in the near future, the green team officially announced the RTX 3090 Ti during CES 2022, showing that Ampere still has more to offer before Lovelace arrives on the scene.

Admittedly, it's hard to get excited for new GPUs amid ongoing graphics card shortages. Not only did the RTX 2060 12GB refresh arrive with an out of stock label already attached, but its RTX 3080 12GB is currently suffering the same fate. However, RTX 3050 stock rumours suggest that Nvidia next card might actually be available at launch, so we could be about to transition into an era of Ampere availability.

Nvidia's RTX 3000 GPUs are undeniably coveted, but you don't have to wait around for hardware stocks to replenish to experience RTX gaming. In fact, the best gaming laptops are much easier to get a hold of than dedicated desktop cards, and they come with RTX exclusive features like Nvidia DLSS and DLDSR downsampling. Nevertheless, if you're still hellbent on upgrading to an RTX 3090 Ti, we've compiled information on the graphics card's price, release date, specs, and possible benchmarks.

Can I get a 'woop woop', or at least a 'wololo', for the spin-off strategy game? The Ensemble Studios swansong that was Halo Wars, an RTS so streamlined it was aerodynamic. The ballistic ballet of Gears Tactics, which piled extra biceps atop XCOM's shoulders. Even when money has moved through the membrane in the opposite direction, it has resulted in projects that were - let's not overstate this - endearingly experimental. Can I get an understanding nod for Command & Conquer: Renegade?

The strangeness of Crossfire: Legion's situation is that you might not recognise it as a spin-off at all. That's because the series is a big old blind spot for the Western world. Crossfire is an enormously successful Korean FPS that bears more than a passing resemblance to Counter-Strike - all right angles, assault weapons, and de_dust2 - but dwarfs even Steam's most popular game for player numbers. With 690 million participants across 80 countries, it's the biggest online FPS in the world. In China, where the game is a major cultural force, a coming-of-age television drama about two young Crossfire players has been watched 1.8 billion times. Bridger-what? Geralt of Where? The upshot of all that success is that Crossfire radiates money, and some of it is now funding new games from prestigious Western developers. Remedy is working on a campaign FPS in the classic COD style. And Blackbird Interactive is building an RTS named Legion.
