Siliconera Saturday, January 29, 2022 7:30 PM The Pokemon Company is collaborating with artist Daniel Arsham to host a series of exhibitions in Tokyo this year. The exhibition also comes with the new "A Ripple in Time" animated short, which shows Celebi transporting Ash and Pikachu into the far future. The full version of the animated short will appear at one of the exhibition locations in Tokyo starting February 12, 2022. [Thanks, Game Watch!] The exhibition's core concept revolves around the fictional archaeology of Pokemon using materials like quartz crystal and bronze. Some locations will also feature bronze castings of Pokemon trading cards like Charizard and Blastoise, among others. Other locations will showcase sketches and "field research" of these crystallized Pokemon. Furthermore, the Nanzuka Underground exhibition will also sell merchandise such as crystal figures and plush. [gallery columns="5" link="file" ids="914460,914457,914461,914458,914459"] The main attraction is the animated short, which Daniel Arsham produced in collaboration with 1997 Pokemon anime series director Kunihiko Yuyama. The animated short begins with Ash and Pikachu engaged in a battle with another trainer. When Pikachu's thunderbolt almost strikes Celebi, the mythical Pokemon uses its time-traveling ability to transport Ash and Pikachu into the future. Siliconera Saturday, January 29, 2022 5:00 PM A bug in Genshin Impact is keeping the back of the new Ningguang skin from looking the way it should. MiHoYo announced in-game that an issue keeps "Orchid's Evening Gown" shading from appearing properly. It also noted that the problem will be fixed when the 2.5 update arrives. That is expected to appear in mid-February 2022. In order to see the notice, people will head into the game. They can head to Notices from the in-game menu. The update about the new Genshin Impact Ningguang skin appears under "Update Summary." The following report appeared there.
Other issues that will be fixed in 2.5 include an issue in "Where the Heart Finds Rest where Lumine will incorrectly appear to be Aether during a cutscene. To compare, here is how the two Ningguang skins available look from the back. Part of her shoulder blades can be seen under the straps of her Gold Leaf and Pearly Jade dress. The Genshin Impact bug with Orchid's Evening Gown can be seen with the blue dress. As a reminder, the Orchid's Evening Gown is a free skin. People can earn it by participating in the 2022 Lantern Rite. You get the outfit if you get 1,800 Conquest Talismans, 2,200 Immaculate Talismans, and 2,400 Affluence Talismans. You could also get a free four-star character from Liyue, of which Ningguang is one, by getting 1,000 Affluence Talismans and 1,000 Conquest Talismans. You can only get Conquest Talismans from the Oceanic Defender activity, which will be available starting January 31, 2022. Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. It will also appear on the Nintendo Switch. The Lantern Rite activities will run in-game until February 12, 2022.
