Kotaku Sunday, May 15, 2022 9:45 PM Tolkien's influence on video games stretches back decades. Fans have been playing games based on The Lord of the Rings (and The Hobbit) for almost as long as there have been video games, and for every misguided flop there has been a game that has been surprisingly OK for a licensed product. And in some cases much… |

Siliconera Sunday, May 15, 2022 9:00 PM HoYoVerse introduced one of the characters in their new upcoming game Zenless Zone Zero. Her name is Anby Demara. She is part of the Odd-Job Agency, known as the Cunning Hares. Zenless Zone Zero's Anby is a mysterious girl with an unknown past. She appears in the announcement trailer using an electromagnetic blade. Nicole accidentally took Anby in in-game, though the backstory behind that wasn't shared yet. Anby seems to be somewhat dense, because although she loves movies, HoYoVerse said that she takes them a bit too literally. The developer also described Anby as someone who lacks common sense. https://twitter.com/ZZZ_EN/status/1525687416811671552 Atsumi Tanezaki voices Anby. She is the voice behind Anya Forger from Spy X Family. Other recent notable roles Tanezaki undertaken include Sajuna Inui from My Dress-Up Darling, Vivy from Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song, and the titular Dai from the new anime adaptation of Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai that began in 2020. HoYoVerse is currently still taking sign-ups for the closed beta test of Zenless Zone Zero. The closed beta is only available for PC and iOS for now, but HoYoVerse is planning to expand the game's available platforms. Zenless Zone Zero is still in development. It will release on PCs and mobile devices some time in the future. The post First of the Zenless Zone Zero Characters is Anby Demara appeared first on Siliconera. |
Siliconera Sunday, May 15, 2022 7:00 PM An original Fire Force video game is in development, with Mrs. Green Apple providing the theme song. So far, there's no information on release platform, publisher, developer, or release window. Leaker ryokutya2089 said that the game will come out around when Fire Force season 3 airs. While season 3 is in development, there's no news on when exactly it will start to air. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!] This will not be the first Fire Force game. Fire Force: Battle of the Flame Road came out in 2020. This side-scrolling game came out on iOS and Android devices in Japan, and draws inspiration from the first ending of the second season. For context, the ending animation has the silhouettes of various characters running on a street while enemies appear on-screen. Fire Force is a manga and anime series from Atsushi Ohkubo, who previously wrote and drew Soul Eater. It follows the story of Shinra Kusakabe, who is capable of pyrokinesis in a world where pyrokinetics can work as firefighters. There has been an uptick of spontaneous human combustion cases, which Shinra works to solve after he joins Special Fire Force Company 8. Mrs. Green Apple, who previously provided the ending theme for Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V, sang the first opening, "Inferno." The Fire Force video game is in development. More information should appear soon. Siliconera Sunday, May 15, 2022 5:00 PM The English-language version of Fate/Grand Order is kicking off its 13th Interlude on May 15, 2022. As part of the update, Reines and Sherlock Holmes are returning to FGO for a week. These fan-favorites will receive skill upgrades in this batch of Interludes. Reines is rarely available because she is a 5-Star limited time character. After making her debut in the Lord El-Melloi II Case Files crossover last April, she made an appearance in the FGO 2021 4th Anniversary Guaranteed Summon and Happy New Year 2022 Lucky Bag banners. These only accepted Saint Quartz that were bought with real money. The only time players could obtain Reines with earned Saint Quartz in-game after the crossover event was in the Thanksgiving Special 2021 Campaign. Her banner only lasted for 24 hours. This elusive Lord El-Melloi II Case Files crossover character shares a banner with Sherlock Holmes starting on May 15. Then, Fate/Grand Order will rotate between them in separate banners daily. Reines' 3rd Skill, Volumen Hydragyrum, gets a substantial upgrade in the 13th Interlude. It gains the ability to increase an ally's Noble Phantasm Gauge. The skill already also applies Invincible and increases debuff resistance for multiple turns. Meanwhile, the buff to Sherlock Holmes' Gift of Insight decreases all enemies' resistances to Arts attacks. Gift of Insight still continues to generate critical stars for players and seal an enemy's Noble Phantasm for a single turn. Fate/Grand Order's Japanese server recently saw a re-run of the Lady Reines Case Files event in January. This added a new 4-Star Pretender Class Servant, Hephaestion. Fate/Grand Order is available worldwide on mobile devices. Reines and Sherlock Holmes return to FGO in its 13th Interlude Summoning Campaign. It ends on May 21, 2022. The Japanese release received the 13th Interlude content in 2020. The post Fate/Grand Order Brings Back Reines, Sherlock Holmes appeared first on Siliconera. |
