You can even create other games like Crossy Road, or make something massive and pretty like this contest-winning Star Wars construction. It's even possible to explore the mysteries of space - such as the star-smashing black hole at the centre of our own galaxy. A player called SrMustard on Reddit built an interpretation of Sagittarius A* in the game. If you don't know what that is, Sagittarius A* is a supermassive black hole, specifically the one that the Event Horizon Telescope revealed in an image May 12. It sits at the centre of our galaxy, the Milky Way, and has a mass equivalent to 4,310,000 suns. It's a black hole though, which means it's denser than a Minecraft Villager, and it sucks in light and whatnot. We're not going to do justice to the majesty of this celestial body here, but you get the gist. Anyway, SrMustard not only built a version of it, but also put it up on PlanetMinecraft so that you can download it and take a look around. It's not just a slapdash orange circle around a black orb to ponder; a lot of thought went into the build. This is because SrMustard wanted it to be as realistic as possible, and included "the accretion disk, the Schwarzchild radius, the event horizon, the gap between the event horizon and the accretion disk, simulating the real, empty regions around the black hole." PCGamesN Monday, May 16, 2022 1:10 PM  Fall Guys is joining fellow battle royale games like Fortnite and PUBG Battlegrounds in the free games realm. Mediatonic finally confirms a Fall Guys free-to-play release, with the new Season 1 start date down for next month. Fall Guys released back in August 2020 and always had an upfront cost, but ever since Fortnite publisher Epic bought developer Mediatonic a year ago there has been speculation that the studio would make the multiplayer game free-to-play - which, of course, has been incredibly successful for Fortnite. Well, that's now the case. Fall Guys is going free-to-play in June, and will also launch across consoles and the Epic Games Store with full cross-play and cross-progression support. Anyone who bought the game prior to it going F2P will get the Legacy Pack DLC, containing a number of cosmetic items, and the first season pass for free. The game's free progression path with the Kudos currency will remain intact, apparently, although it will work alongside a new currency called Show-Bucks. The hotfix is aimed at fixing several important bugs that have popped up since Overlord arrived, which Stellaris' game director says are, in several cases, the result of rushing to include several last-minute changes prior to launch. "It's a pretty long list for a hotfix, and to be completely honest, that's my fault," writes game director Stephen Muray in a post to the Paradox forums today. "In our eagerness to get Overlord out to you in the best shape possible, I approved several changes and additions at the last minute that I really shouldn't have. Some of the threads have mentioned that we have some bugs in the launch version that weren't in the prerelease streams - that's completely accurate." Muray says one example of this was in the way that the AI handles tithes and subsidies. The team had identified an exploit involving this system, and made a change on 'code freeze day' - when no further updates are supposed to be made - in order to close the loophole. We don't know much about the game so far, but we have been given a glimpse at an initial cast of Zenless Zone Zero characters. Hopefully, we won't have to wait too long to find out more. HoyoVerse has announced a Zenless Zone Zero beta - or as the studio is calling it, a tuning test - which you can sign-up to right now. We don't know when the test will run, and there is currently no end date for beta sign-ups. Hoyoverse has stated it wants to announce these separately, so we recommend signing up straight away if you're interested in checking out this new anime game. A 512GB Steam Deck model fell prey to the torturous durability test of Tech YouTuber Zack Nelson (otherwise known as JerryRigEverything), in which Valve's portable powerhouse endured trial by box cutter and pocket lighter. Painful as this sound, Nelson's calculated destruction provides some unique insight into the device's physical makeup. Taking a set of Mohs' Hardness picks to the Steam Deck's display, Nelson shows that it takes a decent amount of force to damage the anti-glare glass, but the "abraisive" coating can make it harder to remove surface level damage. The screen was able to shrug off any attempts to crack it through bending or flexing, though, from both the back and the front. They're essentially better versions of the basic Vault of Glass weapons, with an extra third and fourth perk slot and a slot for Adept weapon mods. To get this week's Destiny 2 Timelost weapon, you will need to complete its particular challenge in the Vault of Glass on Master difficulty. You can check out our Destiny 2 Vault of Glass walkthrough for tips on how to beat it. Five encounters in the raid have a challenge associated with them, which is basically an extra condition to meet when completing the fight (for example, the 'Wait For It' challenge on Confluxes requires you to wait until the Wyverns have started sacrificing themselves before you kill them). On normal difficulty, completing a challenge grants bonus loot, but on Master, this is how you get your Timelost weapon. Only one challenge is 'active' per week, and they rotate with the weekly update every Tuesday at 1pm EDT / 10am PDT / 6pm BST. PCGamesN Monday, May 16, 2022 10:57 AM  Weird west multiplayer game Hunt: Showdown has just received its big 1.8.1 patch on its live servers, which means the haunted bayou is going to be an even more interesting place from now on. This update adds new armed variants of the shambling grunts we've been punching out for the past few years, and there's a brand new weekly quest system too. Armed zombies are a deceptively simple change. Thanks to Hunt: Showdown's reliance on positional audio, however, it's an important one. A grunt that manages to connect a hit with a rusty pistol will cause a round in the cylinder to discharge, creating a loud report that other hunters will be able to hear all over the map. Hunters will have to be quite a bit more careful about approaching and eliminating these enemies to avoid giving away their position. Another major change in 1.8.1 is the new quest system, called Summons. These replace daily and weekly challenges, and Crytek says they're "designed to be more fun and engaging". Completing these quests will award players with one to six stars - although these are distinct from the stars you can earn in trials. Quests refresh each week, you can track two of them at a time (with the option to spend Blood Bonds to unlock a third slot), and you can trade in 30 stars for 25 Blood Bonds. In a meeting today with investors, Remedy provides an update on its development roadmap across the board and new details on all of its upcoming games. First up is Alan Wake 2, which Remedy finally announced at the Game Awards in December and is "in the full production stage" - with its release date still on track for next year. Remedy is happy that the reaction to the reveal of the Max Payne 1 and 2 remakes that Rockstar is funding was "overwhelmingly positive", and the team is "very excited" to be working on them. The studio also has two new Control games coming - first a multiplayer spin-off, then "a bigger Control game" that is likely a full Control 2 sequel and is currently "in the concept stage and its prototyping continues". Apparently, this team's main focus is building "the required technology and tools" to power multiple Remedy games. |

Thankfully, Meta's chief technical officer, Andrew Bosworth, has provided a small update on the company's progress to remove the social media shackles from its virtual reality unit. During a Quest 2 Instagram AMA (via UploadVR), someone asked Bosworth whether he was able to provide on the topic of alternate logins. He responded by saying that this "this is still in the works, still on the way," highlighting that "due care and diligence" regarding data privacy regulations is a major contributing factor to this process. However, Bosworth adamantly reassures Quest 2 users that "it's still going to happen," so we'll just have to keep our eyes peeled for any announcements from Meta in the future. Most importantly, however, he doesn't have a moustache. While Genshin Impact fans only know a little about what the next banner character will be for the anime game, Electro ninja Kuki Shinobu will likely be one of the next up alongside the 2.7 update. However, as revealed by developer Hoyoverse today, young detective Shikanoin Heizou shouldn't be too far off. Described as "free-spirited and unruly, but cheerful and lively", 'Analytical Harmony' Shikanoin Heizou works for the Tenryou Commission - the same clan as Kujou Sara - as a detective. Judging by previous in-game hints, Heizou sounds like more of a swindler than anything. One thing's for certain - despite several leaks and rumours, Heizou is not sporting a moustache. Shame. Other than that he's going to be a new Anemo character, we don't know much else about him in terms of official information, and definitely nothing about when the Genshin Impact Heizou banner release date will be. However, there are several in-game references to Heizou that can tell us more about his character - a few others have something to say about Heizou, and it's not all positive. According to Genshin leaker Lumie, Heizou may become the RPG game's first male Catalyst user, but that's about it. Securing an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4000 GPU is currently the top priority for many gaming PC builders around the world, with many having patiently saved up their pennies during the recent GPU shortage. Thankfully, it seems that we may not need to wait quite as long as expected for team green's soon-to-be best graphics cards. Hardware leaker kopite7kimi previously claimed that the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4000 series would be on store shelves "a little bit earlier" than expected, but they have now followed this up with a more specific launch window of "Q3 early." This brings into question the previous rumoured Ada Lovelace release date of September, and means we'll potentially have our hands on the RTX 4090, and RTX 4080 as soon as July or August. While it's best to take these kinds of things with a healthy handful of sodium chloride, this would mark the earliest Nvidia has released new graphics cards since the lauded GeForce GTX 10 series. PCGamesN Monday, May 16, 2022 7:53 AM  While it's been going on for a while now, in the last week the community is giving a lot of attention to the ongoing Team Fortress 2 bot problem - and now, the TF2 medic voice actor Robin Atkin Downes has come out in support of the multiplayer game's issues, and will apparently speak with Valve about it. Apparently starting with Team Fortress 2 player SquimJim, who posted a video (via IGN, which calls TF2 "literally unplayable" now) complaining about the two-plus years-long bot problem the long-running FPS game seems to be afflicted by - which some suspect could be tied to the leak of TF2's source code in 2020 - and urged the community to pressure Valve into doing something about it. Now, it seems like even Team Fortress 2's voice actors are speaking out against the issue. It seems like concerned players were also pinging Robin Atkin Downes - who voices the Medic in TF2 and Kazuhira Miller in Metal Gear Solid 5, amongst many roles - who has now responded with his support. Since its release in 2020, the addictive anime game has seen plenty of regular updates expanding on the game's content - and adding several new characters by way of limited time banners. New Genshin Impact characters - according to Hoyoverse's Genshin Impact roadmap - should release with every major update. If past experience is anything to go by, during each new patch there will be at least one Genshin Impact banner with a new five-star character, and possibly new four-star characters included as well. That said, several new Genshin Impact characters have been added outside of this schedule, like Genshin Impact's Klee - so we could see new characters arrive unexpectedly, too. Ayato is the most recent new character to arrive in the Genshin Impact 2.6 update, and we know that Yelan and Kuki Shinobu are coming, possibly in the 2.7 update. There are also a few leaks and some datamined information concerning new faces that may appear in future Genshin Impact updates. However, until they're officially announced, these characters are not final and may be subject to changes. More important than that - as of the latest update, you can pet the dog gun. The Armaguerra 43 SMG was introduced as part of the Pacific Season 2 set and is one of the best guns in Call of Duty: Warzone, although it's not quite the best Warzone SMG available. Just last week, the weapon got a new Mastercraft skin in the pricey Hell Hounds paid bundle that, well, turns it into a dog gun. It's certainly a cool skin, with an engraving of a dog breathing fire and a Cerberus-like three dog heads alongside the barrel. I cannot remember any of the rules of poker, but I do really like the feel of cards, the shick schick shick of shuffling them and all the business of moving them around in your hand as if that'll change things very much. Card Shark, the latest game from the Reigns devs Nerial, is an ideal card game for me, as it does all the noises of shuffling and dealing and collecting cards extremely well, without requiring any knowledge or memory of the games its punters are actually playing. Instead, Card Shark is all about the palming and stacking and counting of cards, rather than an actual card game like your classic deckbuilders and such like. It will be out in full on June 2nd, but last week I got to play a larger version of the current Steam demo - about four hours worth of it, in fact - and I discovered that while I'm very bad at card games, I am pretty good at (pretend) cheating at them. |

Now that Espeon is available in Pokemon Unite, we know exactly how much its license will cost. There are actually two avenues to get the character in-game at launch. One involves effort to acquire it with 2,000 Mission Points for free. The other is to spend 575 Aeos Gems to buy it. People have until June 13, 2022 to earn Espeon for free in Pokemon Unite. There are both daily and weekly missions that reward Mission Points. Every day, you can get 60 points for logging in, 80 for taking part in three battles, and 80 for winning one battle. Each week, you can get 100 points for making 15 assists over seven days, 150 for logging in for three out of seven days, 200 for logging in five out of seven days, and 250 for being in 15 battles over seven days. As a reminder, you need to pay money to get Aeos Gems. As Espeon will cost 575 Aeos Gems in Pokemon Unite. This means you'd need to pay $3.99 for a 245 gem pack and $7.99 for a 490 gem pack to get one. However, if you haven't purchased Aeos Gems before, you get 980 for your first $7.99 purchase. Crunchyroll confirmed that it will air the Chainsaw Man anime in 2022. It will be available in Japanese with subtitles. It will also be a simuldub show, with Brazilian Portuguese, English, French, German, and Latin American Spanish dubs available. In addition, there is a new Chainsaw Man anime trailer and key visual showing Denji as the title character. There's no exact release date for it yet. First, here's the new trailer for Chainsaw Man. It begins by showing Denji alone in an alley. After that, we see him eating with Chainsaw Man characters like Aki Hayakawa, Power, and Meowy. There are two new Honkai Impact 3rd trailers for Aponia and Elysia. Rather than focusing on battles or gameplay, both are designed to offer insight into the heroines and Thirteen Flame-Chasers. For example, Aponia's shows her thinking about the past. Elysia's video instead tells a dramatic story. First, here's the Aponia Honkai Impact 3rd trailer. It begins with her thinking about the past. She's sees a number of children she'd been working with. All of them recently received toys from her, and one boy shows her a butterfly. Aponia suggests the hospitalized children will "recover" soon. After that, we see her tending to a wounded person and helping them with physical therapy. However, the video ends with her walking through a graveyard and lamenting that she couldn't save people. Elysia's Honkai Impact 3rd trailer features the Thirteen Flame-Chasers trapped in a house in the snow together. Tensions are high, due to being trapped, and Kalpas and Pardofelis get into a fight. Things soon turn into a deadly murder mystery. Both videos feature an English translation, if people turn on closed captions. As a reminder, both Aponia and Elysia are playable in-game. As in past entries in the series, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will feature Nopon characters. Two in particular will be able to help your party. While they aren't main party members in the same way as people like Noah, Mio, Eunie, and Taion, they will still be able to join players. Both Riku and Manana can fill the seventh party member slot as "Heroes" characters and work together as a pair in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. First, here's the key art showing the two Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Nopon. Riku appears to carry a sword and shield in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. He's also voiced by Sayaka Senbongi. In addition to being able to fight, he can fix weapons and other machines. First, here's a Japanese video clip showing him in-game with Noah and Lanz.
And here are screenshots offering a closer look at Riku. Manana is shown carrying a shield in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and she's a Nopon chef. Her voice actress in Japan is Aya Suzaki. In her reveal video, she talks with Mio and Taion.

New FFVII Remake concept art is here, and this time it shows five weapons Cloud uses in the game. Square Enix took to Twitter to share the design document. Here's the full FFVII Remake concept art showing five weapons Cloud can use. Of those, four are swords. The odd one out is the Nail Bat. People can get this one when in the Sector 5 Slums by helping Leaf House's Ms. Folia find five kids and defeating a Hedgehog Pie King with Cloud and Aerith. In the top row, the Iron Blade, Hardedge, and Nail Bat appear. In the case of the Hard Edge, it focuses on the writing on the blade and materia slots in the hilt. The bottom row includes the Mythril Saber and Twin Stinger. As with the Hardedge art, the Mythril Saber looks at the hilt when material is equipped too.
The one FFVII Remake weapon not shown in this image is Cloud's Buster Sword. He starts the game with it equipped. The last bit of FFVII Remake concept art shared by Square Enix had a Cloud connection too. In it, people were able to get a better look at his Claudia Strife, his mother. In a new PlayStation Blog announcement, Sony revealed the PlayStation Plus Deluxe tier's first PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP games that will be part of is Classic Games. Both first and third-party games will be available. In the case of some PS2 titles, these will be remasters. When it comes to the PS1 and PSP games, people who purchased digital copies of them in the past will be able to download the PS4 and PS5 compatible versions for free. First, here are the PS1 games heading to PlayStation Plus Deluxe. All of them will get save state functionality and the ability to rewind them.
Only one PSP game was revealed as part of it, and that's Super Stardust Portable. The Classic Games Catalog PlayStation Plus remaster games so far look to be mainly PS2 and PS3 games.
Finally, here's the list of streaming PS3 PlayStation Plus games that will be part of this tier. These games will also be on PCs.
As a reminder, the Deluxe tier is the most expensive one. It will be $119.99/€119.99/£99.99/¥10,250 per year. In addition to the classic games, it will also offer time-limited game trials, Ubisoft+ Classics access, essentially the former PlayStation Now library, and PS1, PS2, and PSP cloud-streaming. The five launch game trials mentioned at the moment are Cyberpunk 2077, Farming Simulator 22, Horizon Forbidden West, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, and WWE 2K22. PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, and Deluxe tiers will be available starting May 24, 2022 in Asia, June 2, 2022 in Japan, June 13, 2022 in the Americas, and June 23, 2022 in Australia and Europe. Ahead of Genshin Impact updates, leaks and characters' voice lines often reveal details about new characters. One of them is Heizou Shikanoin. Now, HoYoVerse officially revealed his art and details about the Tenryou Commission member. The colors used also confirm Heizou will be an Anemo character in Genshin Impact. The first Genshin Impact tweet revealing the new character offered his "title" and "role." He's referred to as Analytical Harmony. When Ayaka talked about him in a voice line in-game, she mentioned he works for the Tenryou Commission. This is the same group Sara belongs to. His art also clarifies that he is a detective there. The second part of the Genshin Impact Heizou reveal involved the other Kamisato sibling's thoughts on him. Ayato praised his free spirit and intelligence.
This is the third new Genshin Impact character to be teased ahead of the 2.7 update debut. The first two were the five-star Hydro archer Yelan and four-star Electro sword-user Shinobu. Square Enix has opened pre-orders for a new NieR Replicant ice tray in Japan. People will be able to create an ice version of Emil's head with this new merchandise at 2,750 yen (~$21). The item will officially appear in the country on August 27, 2022. The company will use silicon rubber to produce this ice tray. The item will be 145mm wide, 62mm tall, and 75mm deep. The owner will be able to pour water into the container, and then close it and store in a freezer. The resulting ice cubes will feature the design of Emil's head at a rather large size of 55mm (~2 inches). Capcom has published the first three weapon videos for Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak. At the May 2022 Digital Event, the company promised to share in-depth videos showcasing new actions for each weapon starting from May 16, 2022. The first day saw new videos dedicated to Sword & Shield, Switch Axe, and Heavy Bowgun. Sword & Shield will have a new Silkbind move called Destroyer Oil. The Hunter will apply a special ointment that makes the attacks more likely to flinch monsters. An interview with Final Fantasy XIV Producer Naoki Yoshida and Final Fantasy XI Producer Akihiko Matsui reveals Yoshida's involvement with FFXI. The interview also touches upon his first project within Square Enix. However, Matsui reveals that Yoshida had a hand in revamping the installer for FFXI. According to Matsui, when the installer was being changed in 2019, they asked Yoshida to look it over. FFXIV's Naoki Yoshida helped the FFXI team adjust the installer to be more accessible to players who were unfamiliar with the game. The interview mentions how the general userbase for MMOs has shifted and that the team has made adjustments for the new userbase. The FFXI team also adjusted the in-game chat feature based on recommendations from FFXIV Producer Naoki Yoshida. However, Yoshida's involvement in the more modern incarnation of FFXI doesn't stop there. Yoshida mentions that he and Matsui discussed how they could make returning to Final Fantasy XI more appealing to players. Additionally, Matsui mentions that the FFXI team is looking to rebuild a close-knit community aspect within the game. Regarding Yoshida's first project within Square Enix, he talks about the game he was working on during the merger between Square and Enix. PUBG Mobile will see several Neon Genesis Evangelion cosmetics appear in the game as part of a limited-time crossover. Players will be able to obtain Rei Ayanami and Shinji Ikari cosmetics, which include the character's respective plugsuits, until June 19, 2022. Additionally, other Neon Genesis Evangelion cosmetics will appear in PUBG Mobile. These include a Pen-Pen buddy and an EVA-01 backpack and helmet. [Thanks, Gamer!] Players can obtain these cosmetic items through special "Evangelion" crates. Items will randomly be acquired through these crates, which means consumers may need to purchase several crates to receive the cosmetics they desire. Additionally, a special Neon Genesis Evangelion-themed outfit will be available to obtain in the game. This includes an EVA-01 outfit complete with a helmet and unique weapon skin. PUBG Mobile has seen several anime crossover events appear in the mobile title. These have included Jujutsu Kaisen and Black Lagoon. Like the Neon Genesis Evangelion crossover event, players could obtain unique cosmetics inspired by the anime, such as character outfits, for a limited time. Special event challenges have also been held during these crossovers. PUBG Mobile is available for Android and iOS devices. Kojima Productions will be opening recruitment to look for potential applicants to work on a new project. There will be two opportunities available during May 2022, with deadlines for applications set on May 18 and May 25, 2022, respectively. Kojima Productions will be recruiting for more than a handful of positions for this new project. Information on what this new project could be is not disclosed on the application page. [Thanks, Famitsu!] The first wave of interviews will be held on May 20 and 21, 2022, with the second wave held on May 27 and 28, 2022. However, applications are limited to those located within Japan. Additionally, Kojima Productions is looking for those who are interested in creating high-quality products and those who were previously interested but could not apply. In December 2021, Hideo Kojima revealed that Kojima Productions is working on two new projects. He revealed that one of these projects is a "new, challenging" title. Compile Heart has released a teaser website for a new project under Galapagos RPG evolve. Galapagos RPG evolve is a rebranding of Galapagos RPG, the developer behind titles like Death end re;Quest and Death end re;Quest 2. More information about the project will appear on May 19, 2022. However, Compile Heart has released a short teaser trailer for the rebrand. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!] The trailer features the previous Galapagos RPG logo tearing away to reveal the new rebrand. Then, a pair of vocal tracks slowly slide into view, eventually colliding to reveal the letter "F." The tracks then separate and the letter disappears. You can watch the teaser trailer below.
