PCGamesN Saturday, July 2, 2022 1:54 PM  If you've played one game for a long time, you'll know that things can become a bit over-familiar, which is why it's nice to see projects like the Aquarium and Terrarium Project Stardew Valley mod, which overhauls all the various critters and other incidental animals dotted around the farming game's landscape. The Aquarium/Terrarium Project isn't just one mod, in fact - it's a collection of several mods created by Stardew Valley fan StarAmy, aimed at overhauling all the various creatures and critters that make up the life game's ecosystem. So far, they have created five separate mods that include reskins for a whole variety of animals. In addition, they have also been working on a makeover for Stardew Valley's fish tanks that polishes their design up slightly, as well as including the option to completely transform them from aquariums into terrariums. This gets rid of the water effect and allows you to store the likes of rodents, birds, insects, and reptiles into the exhibits. Another mod in the collection enables a selection of flowers and other small items to be placed into the tanks for added decoration. PCGamesN Saturday, July 2, 2022 12:57 PM  We still don't know the Sonic Frontiers release date but we now know two far more important facts about the first Sonic the Hedgehog open-world game - there's a Sonic Frontiers fishing minigame, and Big the Cat is leading it. It's a game of the year contender now. If there's one thing fans of the Sonic platform game series constantly complain about, it's that there hasn't been a fishing minigame in the games since 1998's Sonic Adventure. Poor fisherman Big the Cat hasn't really been in the series either since 2003's Sonic Heroes, which featured an upsetting lack of fishing. Well, that's apparently set to change, as the latest issue of Game Informer confirms that not only does Big the Cat and his frog pal Froggy feature in Sonic Frontiers, but there's a fishing minigame too. Shikanoin Heizou is one of the new Genshin Impact characters coming in the Genshin Impact 2.8 update after the Inazuman detective was officially announced via the Genshin Impact Twitter account. As of the 2.8 special program showcase, we now know when the Genshin Impact Heizou banner release date will be. There are also several in-game references to Heizou that can tell us more about his character - a few others have something to say about Heizou, and it's not all positive. Heizou is an Anamo character, and the RPG game's first melee Catalyst user. Dataminer Dimbreath has previously reported finding some in-game avatar data for him, too. PCGamesN Saturday, July 2, 2022 1:24 PM  There's a new Diablo Immortal boss in town, and her high CR prerequisite has a lot of the RPG game's players questioning when they'll be ready to take newcomer Vitaath on. The Helliquary is a raid system that functions as part of the endgame to the Diablo Immortal leveling process. Previously, players have been taking on Lassal the Flame-spun, but there's quite a jump in recommended combat rating to tackle the new demon. Vitaath, the Shivering Death arrived in Diablo Immortal on July 2, and some of the game's most hardcore players have already begun taking her down. However, even some of the fantasy game's better-geared players are balking at the recommended ratings for her higher-tier encounters. CR, or combat rating, is one of Diablo Immortal's most important stats and essentially shows at a glance how strong your character is. For comparison, Lassal's first fight has a fairly reasonable recommended CR of 420, which players should be able to reach around the time they unlock access to the fight. For Lassal's second difficulty, a much higher CR of 1,250 is recommended, while the third tier recommends 1,640 CR. It turns out Good Smile Company brought three VShojo figures to Anime Expo 2022. It showed off an unpainted prototype of the Nyatasha Nyanners Pop Up Parade figure and confirmed Veibae would also appear in that lineup. Previously, it showed off an Ironmouse Nendoroid at the event. First, here's how the Nyatasha Nyanners Pop Up Parade figure will look. She's wearing a different outfit than she does for her Nendoroid. This one is a shorter dress with ruffles and a bow. Her hair will also be in pigtails for this figure, rather than down like in the other figure.
Only a concept art image for the Veibae Pop Up Parade figure appeared. Her horns and tail will both be visible for hers, based on the initial teaser image. As this isn't the exact recreation of how the image will look, it is unknown what pose Good Smile Company will use.

At Anime Expo 2022, Aksys Games announced it picked up the Switch otome titles Norn9: Var Commons & Last Era, Radiant Tale, and Shuuen no Virche ~ErroЯ:Salvation. Of the three, Norn9 is one it handled before. It released the Vita version of the base game worldwide in 2015. All three are expected to appear in 2023. Norn9: Var Commons & Last Era consists of the base game and its fandisc. The base game is unique in that there are three possible heroines to choose from. Each one has her own three love interests. The fandisc offers additional storylines. It appeared in Japan as Norn9 LOFN back in September 2018. Here's a Japanese trailer for it. Radiant Tale is about woman who ends up producing a group of performers called CIRCUS. Among them are a man who made a contract with a water spirit named Paschalia, a dragon named Vilio, and a clown named Zafora. In addition to her new role, she'll also have a chance to fall in love. It showed up in Japan in May 2022. There's the Japanese trailer for this Aksys Games Switch otome. Finally, there's Shuuen no Virche ~ErroЯ:Salvation. It doesn't have an English title yet. Its heroine and love interests live in Arpecheur. While everyone dies by the time they hit 23, it seems people around Ceres die even faster. Its story gives people a chance to help her find love and the truth behind her condition. It debuted in Japan in October 2021. Here's the Japanese trailer for it. Aksys Games next Switch otome release will be Piofiore: Episodio 1926, the sequel to Piofiore: Fated Memories. It will debut on September 22, 2022. Good Smile Company brought up four Attack on Titan Nendoroids at Anime Expo 2022. One was the reveal that an Eren Yeager: Attack Titan version figure would be created. In addition, it also showed off unpainted Nendoroid prototypes of the Attack on Titan: The Final Season versions of Eren, Mikasa Ackerman, and Levi Ackerman. Editor's Note: There will be spoilers for characters' appearances in Attack on Titan: The Final Season below.First, here's the Attack Titan concept art. Since it was only just announced, there's no prototype for it yet. However, people can get an idea of how it will look in a "chibi" form.
Next, here's the Nendoroid of Eren based on his Attack on Titan: The Final Season appearance.
Here's how the new version of Mikasa will look. Her hair is much shorter for this appearance.
Finally, this is the Levi Attack on Titan: The Final Season Nendoroid prototype. He's much more beaten up than he was in past appearances.

A Junji Ito Uzumaki Nendoroid of Kirie Goshima is in the works. Good Smile Company announced the figure at Anime Expo 2022. It also showed art of the heroine. However, there's no concept art of the chibi figure or prototype available. Here's the official announcement for the Uzumaki Kirie Nendoroid. It suggests that the figure will feature hair with the story's distinctive spirals. Due to the nature of the reveal, we might not see an unpainted or painted prototype until later in 2022. She, alongside characters like Shuichi Saito and Chie Maruyama, is one of the major characters in the story.
This comes ahead of quite a few Uzumaki announcements. For example, an anime adaptation is in development. Ito will even play a role in it. The live-action movie will also be coming out on Blu-ray. There's an expected 2022 release window for that. There's no release date for the Junji Ito Uzumaki Nendoroid of Kirie. The Uzumaki anime will appear in October 2022 on Adult Swim. Two new crossover events will happen in the near future in Identity V, with characters from Angels of Death and Fatal Frame Project Zero II appearing in the Manor. These are appearing on the tails of news about the upcoming Bungo Stray Dogs crossover, as well as the current Link Click one. It is currently unknown when these events will appear and which characters will show up as skins. Angels of Death is a freeware horror game on the Windows PC and Nintendo Switch. There is also an anime adaptation, as well as several mangas. The story focuses on Rachel "Ray" Gardner, who is in counseling because she saw a murder. However, she wakes up with amnesia and in the midst of a killing game. She ends up forming an alliance with Zack, a serial killer. Judging by the trailer, Geisha "Michiko" will receive a collaboration skin from this event. There's a new update on Doki Doki Literature Club merchandise. Good Smile Company offered details on two figures at Anime Expo 2022. First, it showed an unpainted prototype of the DDLC Natsuki Nendoroid. This marks her first appearance anywhere. The company also revealed a DDLC Monika Pop Up Parade figure is in the works too. First, here's the DDLC Natsuki Nendoroid. It confirms she'll come with a face plate in which she's smiling and blushing and arm parts that feature her arms folded over her chest. This figure was first announced back in May 2022.
Next, here's the DDLC Monika Pop Up Parade figure announcement. Only concept art is available suggesting she'll be posed holding her pen.
The first Nendoroid from the game will be out before 2022 ends. Monika is the first one in the line. People can get the original Doki Doki Literature Club on PCs for free. Doki Doki Literature Club Plus is available on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. There's no release window for the DDLC Natsuki Nendoroid or Monika Pop Up Parade figure. At Anime Expo 2022, Sekai Project announced that it would publish both INUPARA: Dog's Paradise and NEKOPARA After: La Vraie Famille. There is no news yet as to which platforms they will come out on. However, NEKOPARA games are available on Windows PCs, the Nintendo Switch, and the PlayStation 4. Both INUPARA and NEKOPARA After: La Vraie Famille will could also appear on those platforms. INUPARA: Dog's Paradise is a spin-off of Nekopara featuring dog girls instead of cat girls. It originally appeared as an April Fool's joke, with a fake trailer debuting on YouTube on March 31, 2022. The Mega Drive Mini 2 is an interesting little device, offering a new slate of Sega Genesis and Sega CD classics that reaches a little further into the library than the first one. We've already seen some of the titles revealed! But there's a lot more to go. What game do you want to see the most? Here are our picks. Know what would be cool? If the Mega CD version of Shin Megami Tensei showed up on the Mega Drive Mini 2. I know it is probably more unlikely than some other games. Not to mention the game is more strongly associated with the Super Famicom. But that version did get extra demons! Like, you know, Skuld, Urd, and Verdandi. That's pretty neat! — Jenni
I don't have much connection to the Mega Drive/Genesis, being one of the "Nintendo kids" of my elementary school. Still, I did look with some envy on the Sega CD games that the Sega kids would brag about. Among them were the crop of more "mature", cinematic titles that used FMV and other fancy-pants techniques of the day, like Night Trap. It would be fascinating to be able to play a game that helped launch a moral panic in its day on a machine that somewhat resembles the original hardware of the time. That being said, Night Trap is already available outside the Sega CD, so barring that, I'd ask for that console's version of Snatcher. — Josh
While Sega has done a great job of slapping Genesis games on any hardware it can access, the CD stuff's a bit tougher to come by. Especially the rare releases! So why not bring on the fun and quirky Keio Flying Squadron? One of the few super-Japanese games of the era to not get a total overhaul in the West, it's a game we could enjoy even if the title (or console itself) doesn't see a Western release.
