Roblox is one of the most popular games in the world, and now it's getting a graphical overhaul to bring its fidelity slightly more in line with its reach. It's not quite gaming in ray-traced 4K, but it will no doubt go a long way toward helping the surprisingly shady, social "not-a game" platform insinuate itself…

The friendly webber debuts in Marvel's Midnight Suns character trailer

Firaxis and Virtuous released a new Marvel's Midnight Suns character trailer ahead of the game's October launch, and this time, it was all about Spider-Man. Well, "all about" may be slightly overselling it. The Spider-Man trailer was rather on the short side, but it did include a few tantalizing looks at what we can expect from the friendly neighborhood mutant in combat, along with some exciting examples of the game's fresh vision of tactics.

The new Lost Ark update cuts honing costs in half

The latest Lost Ark update, Spells in Spades, did more than just add the Arcanist class and some fun summer activities to the MMO game. It made a significant change to how much gear honing costs, one the development team glossed over in the official patch notes. Reddit user omark96 compiled a set of images showing exactly how much you can expect to spend – or save, depending on how you look at it – with the new update's cuts, including discounts depending on your Stronghold research, and it's good news if you have alts and no Powerpass.

Yu-Gi-Oh Cross Duel

Konami has opened pre-registration for a new Yu-Gi-Oh! mobile game. Yu-Gi-Oh Cross Duel is billed as a brand-new experience involving up to four players at a time. The pre-registration campaign promises rewards for all players based on the number of pre-registrations received. Players can pre-register at this page.

Check out a trailer for the game below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jQPX2sF97A&t

Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel is distinct from other Yu-Gi-Oh! titles in that it focuses on four-player battling. Each player in the match will have some of their card slots linked to those of their opponents on either side and across. As in other iterations of Duel Monsters, players will summon monsters and use spells to battle the other duelists. A four-player cooperative mode will pit all four players against a single extremely tough set of monsters. Finally, a more relaxed single-player mode rearranges the structure into a two-on-two setup. Multiplayer lobbies also support up to 32 players.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel features 3D graphical rendering for all the game's summoned monsters, as well as ways to customize and unlock their skills for deck-building. Single-player modes will team players up with partners from the anime and manga series. Players can win their partners' trust through cooperation, improving their performance and earning rewards.

Here's a look at some of the 3D-rendered monsters available. Some monsters, like the iconic Blue Eyes White Dragon, will have special summoning animations. A gallery mode lets players view the monster models freely.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahbpsFDEtoQ&t

Yu-Gi-Oh Cross Duel launches in 2022 for iOS and Android. Pre-registered players have a chance to gain early access to the app. Another Yu-Gi-Oh! game, Master Duel, is available on mobile, PC, and consoles.

Nier Automata 2B 2P statue

Square Enix will release a 1/4 scale Masterline statue of 2B from NieR: Automata based on her 2P alternate color scheme. The statue will have an approximate height of 52.2 cm or 21.7 inches. It will cost over 100,000 yen in Japan and over $1,000 in the U.S.

The statue's package will come with an alternate head. One of them will show 2B's full face, while the other will have a white eye cover. The owner will be able to swap the heads to their liking.

This figure will appear first in December 2022 in Japan, where it costs 121,000 yen. The item is also available for pre-order in North America with a price tag of $1,150 and an April 2023 release window.

[gallery columns="4" link="file" ids="932496,932495,932494,932493"]

The high price tag reflects the statue's larger size and greater detail than other 2B figures and statuettes revealed previously. In June 2022, Square Enix revealed Flare's eleven-inch 2B figure that costs under $200. The company also shipped seven-inch-tall statuettes of NieR: Automata's 2B in her regular and 2P colors in early 2022.

NieR: Automata is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Square Enix has sold more than 6.5 million units of the game as of June 2022. The company will release a Nintendo Switch port on October 6, 2022. It is also working with Aniplex to produce an anime adaptation of the title.

Vampire Survivors update piano books damage numbersAnother day, another Vampire Survivors update. This time, developer poncle has released Patch 0.9, dubbed "The Flashy One," signaling that Vampire Survivors is very close to receiving the full 1.0 version. In all, this new update introduces the Boss Rash challenge mode, the Gemini and Twilight Requiem Arcanas, one new character, a hidden game mechanic, and four new achievements alongside the usual tweaks and bug fixes. Mostly a fairly standard update, all things considered, but players will likely enjoy what it has to offer nonetheless. Out of all the additions introduced in the patch, the Boss Rash mode stands out as the most significant one. This mode sees players attempting to survive as long as they can against a horde of enemies and bosses from the main game. Notably, you cannot experience Boss Rash mode right away, as you must unlock Hyper mode in each of the game's five main levels before it will become available.   Unlocking Hyper mode requires you to...

Chasm The Rift Steam jester monster corridorEven if you grew up experiencing the wave of first-person shooters that came out during the 1990s, there's a good chance that you never touched Chasm: The Rift. This Quake-inspired shooter from developer Action Forms earned a fairly middling reception upon its release in 1997. Although the game has its fans, you won't hear many people talking about it today. Not exactly the most impactful of legacies, but players still deserve the opportunity to experience obscure games like this. Fortunately, Action Forms has partnered up with developer General Arcade and publisher SNEG to release Chasm: The Rift on Steam come October. According to the Steam page, Chasm: The Rift has players gunning down hordes of unsightly creatures "following the destruction of Time." These creatures go by the name Timestrikers, and the Time channels that spawned within the Earth's atmosphere have caused them to appear en masse. Players assume the role of a member of "a special ...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tmnt The Cowabunga Collection Release Date 1Fellow '90s kids, it's almost officially pizza time. TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection has been confirmed for a late August release date on PC. The collection brings together 13 of the best (and maybe not so best) Turtles games all in one package. Thankfully, most of the games are great, even if they do sit side by side with the one that has the nightmare-inducing dam level. It really is the year of the Turtles, isn't it? At least, in terms of video games. TMNT: Shredder's Revenge has barely been out for a month. The game, by Dotemu and Tribute Games, was a lovingly crafted homage to the franchise's best beat 'em ups, bringing new moves and modern comforts. TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection, however, is where this inspiration first began.   TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection brings a massive catalogue of Turtle games on release. It includes the original arcade game, Tournament Fighters (SNES and Genesis versions), The Hyperstone Heist, Turtles in Time, an...
