PCGamesN Sunday, July 24, 2022 7:41 AM With From Software fans safely distracted by Elden Ring multiplayer for the last few months, it's easy to forget that Dark Souls 3 multiplayer servers on PC still aren't back online. Bandai Namco is supposedly working on a PvP fix, but now a new Dark Souls 3 update on Steam may give some hope to fans. In January 2022, Bandai Namco shut down the Dark Souls servers on PC in order to deal with a potential security exploit affecting the RPG game in PvP, where hackers could take over a player's PC. Six months later, and the online servers for the Dark Souls series on PC still haven't returned. However, according to the Dark Souls 3 SteamDB page (as spotted by Lance McDonald on Twitter), Bandai Namco has pushed out a new debug update on Steam for the first time in years. PCGamesN Sunday, July 24, 2022 7:30 AM Following its recent Apex Legends season 14 slip-up, the team at Respawn Entertainment has now posted a short teaser video hinting at the next character coming to the battle royale game in August. The video involves a conversation between two characters talking about a distress signal, which seems to point to the location of a wanted prisoner. The teaser, posted to the Apex Legends Twitter account as well as in its official Discord channel, has the headline 'Distress transmission incoming…' and shows a computer screen flashing with sound waves as two characters talk over a relay. The first voice - who identifies themselves with the codename 'IJV5301' - opens a link to a space authority, telling them that they have obtained a distress transmission, which they are happy to send over for the right price. The voice on the other end interrupts, demanding that they "relay the signal or face penalties." RELATED LINKS: Apex Legends characters guide, Apex Legends skins, Apex Legends map guide |
PCGamesN Sunday, July 24, 2022 6:41 AM It's looking possible that Fortnite The Last of Us skins might be on the way to the battle royale game, as part of a collaboration between Epic and Sony, at least according to several leakers - and may drop around The Last of Us Part 1 remake release date in September. While there has already been one crossover between Fortnite and a Naughty Dog-developed game series this year in the form of Uncharted, it looks like The Last of Us skins are on their way too - with at least Joel and Ellie being available. Siliconera Sunday, July 24, 2022 7:00 AM The Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary Cafe closed down shop on July 22, 2022, but the FFVII Remake Twitter account has uploaded a recipe for Banora White Juice in case anyone who missed it wants to give it a try. The video is just under two minutes long, and there are no English subtitles. However, the recipe is fairly simple, with perhaps the only difficulty being locating butterfly pea syrup. https://twitter.com/FFVIIR_CLOUD/status/1550707279611146241 Banora White Juice calls for 150 mL of apple juice that you pour over ice. You then put in a combination of butterfly pea syrup (20 mL) and "purple haze" syrup (5 mL). It is slightly unclear if "purple haze" syrup is syrup with the flavors of a Purple Haze mixed drink. It may also be possible to simply pour in 25 mL of butterfly pea syrup. After pouring in syrups, you squeeze in the juice of one lemon and then top it with some mint leaves. You will not need to shake it. In Final Fantasy VII lore, a Banora White (or dumbapple) is a species of apple, and the Banora Underground references juice made from the apples. The fruit is a key component in the story of Crisis Core, and will likely make an appearance in the remake of the game. You can also see posters for Banora White Apple Juice in FFVII Remake. FFVII Remake is available for the PS4. FFVII Remake Intergrade is available for the PS5 and Windows PC. Crisis Core FFVII Reunion is in development and will come out on the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC in Winter 2022.
