After a few years of not entirely comprehensible menu systems, Infinity Ward has launched MW2 with a UI overhaul that's broadly pretty good and intuitive. However, it appears to be missing a few menus that Call of Duty veterans turn to on a daily basis, namely the barracks and challenges tab, which tells you your overall KD and other key player stats. Unfortunately, it looks like there's currently no way to view either your Modern Warfare 2 KD or player stats in-game. There are a number of third-party stat trackers that you can check outside of the game. As the multiplayer game only launched a few days ago, these stat trackers aren't currently working, with one of the most notable ones - Call of Duty Tracker - posting on Twitter that it will take a couple of days to get tracking working as they gain access to the Modern Warfare 2 API. It was a method used to 'break' someone's camera, meaning that you were much harder to track, and therefore, much harder to shoot. Slide cancelling in Modern Warfare 2 is alive and well, although the method to perform the manoeuver is a lot more complicated than in the previous Call of Duty games. It remains to be seen whether the slide cancel in Modern Warfare 2 will be as useful as years gone by, but if you manage to master it in the multiplayer game, it's sure to get you out of some scrapes. Its four main characters, Diya, Min-seo, Noelle, and Akarsha, use the liquefaction of a caterpillar inside a cocoon as a metaphor for the awkward teenage growing phase they're all in. In the sequel, set a few months later, they find a butterfly with a crumpled wing. It's a victim of a false spring, having emerged from its cocoon too early due to unseasonably warm weather. One of them worries that they are like the injured insect; forever marked by their early life. And it's this that Butterfly Soup 2 digs into much more deeply than its predecessor. If you're not familiar with the original, Butterfly Soup is a visual novel about four Asian girls navigating high school in the late 2000s, playing baseball, and falling in love. On replaying it to get ready for this review, it made me cry at least twice and laugh out loud a bunch more. It's pay what you want with no minimum price, and takes about 2-3 hours. I'm also going to spoil parts of it, so go play it already. |

Kaguya-sama: Love is War: The First Kiss Never Ends will debut in theaters in Japan on December 17, 2022. Its tagline can loosely translate to "Romance is a little lonely." There is also a new key visual featuring the main characters. This means that the film will show events from Chapters 142 to 151, which are in Volume 15 of the tankobon. The First Kiss Never Ends arc from the manga advances Kaguya and Miyuki's relationship after what happened in the Dual Confessions Culture Festival Arc. Kaguya-sama: Love is War is a romantic comedy manga in Weekly Young Jump. It focuses on Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya's attempts to make the other confess their love first. While they both reciprocate their romantic feelings, their pride prevents them from simply showing affection. The manga will end on November 2, 2022 after running for seven years. A-1 Pictures gave fans a new look at more of the upcoming NieR Automata anime, and the latest update from the show profiles Pascal, a gentle and peace-loving Machine Lifeform. The official Twitter account for the show shared a new poster featuring Pascal in NieR Automata Ver. 1.1a (the formal title for the series). It also showed brief trailer teasing some of the character's scenes. Furthermore, the official website was also updated with a game created by Pascal. Pascal's voice actor is also confirmed to be Aoi Yuuki. Aoi Yuuki also played characters like Hibiki Tachibana in the Symphogear series, Tsuyu Asui in My Hero Academia, Tatsumaki in One Punch Man, Okita in Fate/Grand Order, and Futaba in Persona 5. A-1 Pictures also shared a new key visual poster featuring Pascal in a field of flowers.
Lastly, the official anime website also features a game "created by Pascal." A news update on the site stated that "Uncle Pascal made a game" and invited folks to try it out. The game, which is available at this link, is titled Go! Machine Lifeform. It's a simple, vertical-scrolling browser title, in which players must pilot a machine lifeform around various obstacles.
