This week many of us have been preoccupied with the new Google Pixel Fold, which received lots of glowing reviews, including one from yours truly. That said, it also stumbled a bit out of the gate, with multiple users reporting issues with the folding internal displays on their brand-new devices – and it's not the first time such reports have followed in the wake of a new foldable's release.
The bigger news, though, might have come from Apple. A string of rumors laid out plans for over a dozen upcoming new products, with an especially solid-looking leak giving us a crucial detail about the iPhone 15. I was more interested, though, in Apple quietly raising global pricing for its iCloud storage service; it hasn't hit the US yet, but I assume it's only a matter of time. If you're an iCloud subscriber, you might want to take a good look at Amazon's July 11-12 Prime Day sales event, to see if you can save yourself some money to soften the blow when Tim Cook comes calling.
As usual, I'm just scratching the surface of the week's biggest stories. Let's get started to them…
