     The best Elden Ring builds

What are the best Elden Ring builds? The first 20 levels shape your entire class, so selecting your stats carefully is essential. While placing some stat points into faith as an Astrologer may be tempting, you're probably better off committing to the full sorcery build to maximize your damage in the late game.

But what are the best Elden Ring builds? Well, some loadouts - such as the Hoarfrost Stomp build - aren't as powerful as they used to be, but new ones are rising to take their place, such as Swarm of Flies. If you've found that your build has been nerfed, never fear - grab a specific Elden Ring Great Rune, and you'll be able to unlock character respec, and you can simply create a new one!

Towerborne is expected to launch some time in 2024, though a specific date hasn't been given by The Banner Saga developers, Stoic Studio. We don't know much about the game yet, but you can play solo, or online with up to four friends to venture out from a tower to fight all kinds of evil critters. From gameplay we've seen so far, it looks like a hack 'n' slash action platform game, where you'll gain skills to fight off waves of enemies.

Oh, Red Dead Redemption 2. In the shadow of the behemoth that is GTA Online, your multiplayer mode perhaps never stood a chance. Now, with the GTA 6 trailer rapidly approaching, and Grand Theft Auto 5 still ruling the sandbox world, it feels like RDR 2 has come and gone - I imagine that scene with Dutch in the first game, standing on the edge of the cliff and forlornly proclaiming to the entire Red Dead fanbase "our time has passed." But no. There is still life left in Red Dead Redemption 2. One of the greatest games ever made, even with GTA 6 on the horizon, it demands to be played and replayed. Now, a new Red Dead Redemption 2 mod is the perfect excuse. Restoring dialogue for John Marston and Arthur Morgan that was cut by Rockstar, it adds fresh life to the sweeping, western opus.

     MSI MAG 325CQRF QD review

The gaming monitor market is ultra-competitive right now, but that sometimes leads to multiple products blending together, and becoming discernible due to many listing similar features on the product box. I've certainly been guilty of being overwhelmed by the monitor options available, instead resorting to running my setup through a five-year-old 1080p, 120 fps display. The MAG MSI 325CQRF QD, however, is a curved gaming monitor that demands your attention, and it is well worth prioritizing when you make your next round of upgrades.

MSI isn't letting its MAG sub-brand ship out just any old 1440p display, expecting it to be one of the best gaming monitors on the market. Years of expertise in the field have allowed MSI to craft a stunning curved VA display, that instantly makes everything you do look cleaner, crisper, and just outright prettier. However, there is one design overlook that stops the MAG 325CQRF QD short of perfection.

What is The Day Before release date? When its first trailer dropped back in 2021, The Day Before blew people away with its gritty open-world set in the United States following a deadly pandemic. A survival MMO, the game will see players exploring the world, scavenging for resources in the abandoned metropolis of New York City and the lush countryside outside it, all while taking down (or hiding from) infected, zombie-like enemies, and other players alike.

The Day Before was then met with a series of delays due to claims of copyright infringement and faked footage, leading some to believe the game was a scam all along. We're assured that the zombie game is still on its way, so here's what we know about the post-apocalyptic MMORPG game - and if The Day Before release date brings gameplay remotely like we saw in that original trailer footage, it could join our list as one of the best PC games this year.

As a piece of nostalgia, Flashback 2 didn't remind me of Delphine's 1992 Amiga puzzle platforming classic so much as some more infamous fragments of gaming's past. Like the Attic bug in Jet Set Willy, for example, which made the game impossible to complete, or the unfeasibly strict time limit in a level of Robocop on the Commodore 64, which legend has it was reduced intentionally to hide glitches on the subsequent stage. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 developers Sledgehammer Games (umpteenth reminder: that's Modern Warfare 3 as in the 2023 game, not the 2011 FPS of the same name) have hosted a Reddit AMA in which they answered a bunch of questions about the evolution of the game's competitive meta. That's meta as in the overall balance of power between Modern Warfare 3 loadouts, playstyles and so forth based on a variety of factors such as map design, rather than the Alan Wake 2 kind of "meta", where characters talk about how they're just characters in a game and so on. I would dearly like to see some crossover between these types of "meta". I guess the Call of Duty that comes closest to fulfilling that idea is Black Ops 3, with its fourth-wall-breaking cyborg theatrics.

Anyway, the discussion is interesting because it touches on the fact that the evolution of an FPS competitive meta is an artful balance of prediction and reaction, imposing new directions on players at times, taking direction from them at others. The developers want the Modern Warfare 3 meta to change "from season to season" - the question, of course, is how to do this without alienating fans of certain weapons and strategies.

Earn a Free Freminet in Genshin Impact with Thelxie's Fantastic Adventures

HoYoVerse offered an update on when people can earn a free Freminet in Genshin Impact via the Thelxie's Fantastic Adventures event. Everything begins on November 23, 2023.

Things start with both the first act of a quest and one minigame in the event. On November 23, 2023 is when Act 1, Motherboard Troubleshooting, Record of the Search for Glory will be available. If you are at Adventure Rank 20 and completed the Archon Quest Prologue: Act 3 "Song of the Dragon and Freedom," you can jump into it. However, HoYoVerse did recommend that people finish the Fontaine Archon Quest storyline by going through the Chapter 4 Act 5 mission "Masquerade of the Guilty," due to this being a Fontaine event and involving characters from there.

There are three types of minigames during the event, as well as three Acts for its quests. The first minigame is Motherboard Troubleshooting and involves arranging circuits to conduct a current to a certain place. In Record of the Search for Glory, you use an Echoing Conch to find where Iridescent Glories are that you need to get. The third minigame is Purgation Counterstrike, which opens up on November 25, 2023 alongside Act 2 of the event story. That's the combat challenge portion of the event.

Thelxie's Badges are awarded via each of these three minigames, and those can be redeemed for the four-star Cryo character Freminet. You can also use that event currency to get a Crown of Insight, Primogems, and things to help improve characters and their weapons like Hero's Wit books and Mystic Enhancement Ores.

The final quest in the event opens up on November 27, 2023. That's when you can go through Act 3.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the free Freminet Thelxie's Fantastic Adventures event runs until December 11, 2023. Freminet is always available via every gacha banner in the game.

There are two collections that are part of this collaboration. They are the Kirakira Perfume Versions and the Sakura Collection. The Sakura Collection features four miniature Sakura figures wearing outfits that look like a combination of clothing she wore from the Cardcaptor Sakura show, but with a Sanrio twist. For example, one of the outfits looks like the black-and-pink cat-themed costume she wore while fighting The Thunder. However, the ears look like Kuromi's. Other outfits take inspiration from My Melody, Pompompurin, and Cinnamoroll.

The Kirakira Perfume collection has five figures of Sanrio mascots—Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Pompompurin, and Cinnamoroll—wearing the outfits that Sakura wore in the Sakura Collection. Again, for example, Kuromi is wearing the black-and-pink outfit Sakura wore. The outfit that Sakura and Hello Kitty share has a more regal design. It has a long red dress and a crown (in Hello Kitty's case).

The Gashapon Online Kirakira Perfume series will cost 400 JPY to play. They'll be available from late February 2024. The Sakura Collection will cost 500 JPY and will come out from late March 2024.

persona 3 reload aigis

Atlus uploaded a new trailer for Persona 3 Reload, this time focusing on Aigis. The trailer shows both scenes of Aigis in her daily life, as well as how she looks in combat.

In Persona 3 lore, Aigis is an Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon, which essentially means she is a robot. In order to summon a Persona, she has a heart. Her starting Persona is Palladion. Though she starts the game as a very robotic-like character, she slowly starts to gain more human-like emotions, allowing her to act like a real person. Aigis is an incredibly prominent character in the Persona 3 story, and was even the main character in The Answer, which was an epilogue chapter from Persona 3 Fes.

You can watch the Japanese Aigis trailer for Persona 3 Reload here:

Maaya Sakamoto will reprise her role as Aigis in Persona 3 Reload. Other roles that Sakamoto has portrayed over the years include Ciel Phantomhive in Black Butler, Aerith in Final Fantasy VII, and the various versions of Jeanne d'Arc in the Fate series. She is also a singer.

Here is the English version:

In the English dub, Dawn Michelle Bennett voices Aigis. She has taken over the role from Karen Strassman. Bennett previously voiced Frosch in Fairy Tail, Female Shez in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, and Yukong in Honkai: Star Rail.

Persona 3 Reload will come out on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam on February 2, 2024. You can read our preview of the game here.

Interview: Preparing the My Next Life as a Villainess Switch Otome

So, My Next Life as a Villainess is an isekai series about a woman reincarnated into the world of her favorite otome game, and now the Switch otome visual novel based on it called My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom -Pirates of the Disturbance- is about to appear worldwide. To learn more about its development and release, Siliconera spoke with Director Akira Haruse about preparing it.

Jenni Lada: When did development for My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom -Pirates of the Disturbance- start?

Akira Haruse: I believe this concept came to me around 2019, right before the first season of the anime was about to air. At the time, I submitted a total of three concepts: "school of magic," "magic ministry," and "cruise ship x pirate." The IP holder liked the "cruise ship x pirate" theme, so we decided to put that idea into motion. The development truly began in 2020.

There is the completed novel, manga and light novel currently in production, and the anime available so far. How much of each affected the story and development of the game?

Haruse: This project wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for the original story. So, we made sure to honor the original world and character traits. From the beginning, we anticipated releasing the game after Season 1 of the anime had streamed. So we based the world's setting on Season 1 in hopes that it would be easier for fans of the anime to follow the characters into the game's world. We wanted to do our best to ensure the game didn't impact the original story too much, so we treated it as an "alternate timeline" of the original story. Since the original story was still ongoing, we wanted to utilize that world, the characters, and the original setting, while creating a foundation with the new game characters for the new plot.

How difficult was it to adapt the My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom characters' traits into the otome game? Was there a character you especially struggled with?

Haruse: Geordo, Keith, Alan, and Nicol were love interests in the original story, so it wasn't too difficult to transition them into an otome game plot. On the contrary, balancing Catarina's personality as the protagonist of this otome game proved more challenging. While we wanted to honor the original story, we aimed to infuse an otome game feel into the storyline and introduce moments that make the heart flutter. We also sought to offer perspectives that aren't available in the anime and further intensified the otome essence in the game by discussing it with the IP holders. We endeavored to provide variations in the romantic moments and ensure they didn't all simply culminate in a confession of love in the end.

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom introduces the new characters Rozy Lind and Silva. How were those characters made?

Haruse: We wanted to ensure the original characters and their established settings wouldn't be overshadowed, so we focused on maintaining a balance between them and the game's new characters and plot. The reason the two new characters are older than Catarina is to distinguish them from the Sorcier men, who are the same age range as Catarina, offering a different vibe. We aimed for one character to embody the loving brother archetype, and the other to be a mix of wild yet dependable brotherly qualities. (Laughs) I also enjoyed the lighthearted bantering between the original Sorcier characters. Their fun childhood friendships are lively, and are part of the heart of My Villainess, so I wanted to build new characters who could fit right in with that cast.

How difficult was it to integrate the otome game original characters into the cast of My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom? What measures did you take to ensure they remained consistent?

Haruse: In terms of the game's new characters, since we had already obtained approval from the IP holders during the concept approval stage, integrating them into the game was straightforward. While developing the game's main scenario, I revisited all the novel content from the beginning to the most recent publication to ensure I was familiar with the original settings. I was cautious not to disrupt any aspect of that world while progressing with the game plot. Nevertheless, we left a few Easter eggs for both the original novel and anime fans, and hope it adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the game.

When did you realize the My Next Life as a Villainess otome game would appear worldwide?

Haruse: I believe it was in spring 2022, right after the game was released in Japan. I had heard that the original novels and the anime were gaining popularity overseas, so I find it a blessing that the game also received an opportunity to be embraced by fans of this series. And, I was happy about that myself as well.

Shouta Aoi sang both the anime ending and the opening for the otome game My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom. How difficult was it to book him for that as well?

Haruse: I requested Shouta Aoi, who played Geordo Stuart and sang the anime's ending, to perform the opening of the game as well. He graciously accepted the offer, and I'm deeply grateful to him. The song exudes a radiant vibe, suggesting an exciting new journey is on the horizon. I genuinely admire the song.

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom will come to the Nintendo Switch on November 28, 2023.

Coral Island MerfolkThere are a whole host of characters to romance and eventually bequeath yourself to in Coral Island, but are the Merfolk part of this group? Who hasn't wanted to date a half-fish person at least once in their life? Can you romance and date a Merfolk? Currently, you cannot romance any of the Merfolk. The three available characters are going to be on the list of love eventually, but this is coming later in the game. For now, you will just have to settle for the many other land-based people on Coral Island. Never fear, though; the developers do have plans for romance options for the merfolk in Coral Island. As the game grows and reaches final development stages, there are sure to be many more options available. This also includes more Merfolk being added to the game. With only one possible marriage allowed in the game and no chance of divorce, it is probably best for you to wait to decide who your own and only is. Screenshot: PC Invasion How ...

Destiny 2 Other Half GuideThe Other Half is quite an annoying weapon to find in Destiny 2. In fact, you may have only just found out that it even exists. Well here's what you need to know to get the Other Half in the game. Destiny 2: Where to find the Other Half The Other Half is the counterpart to the Half-Truths sword. Both are homages to the Energy Sword from the Halo series and were added to Destiny 2 during Bungie's 30th anniversary celebration. The Half-Truths is a very easy weapon to get since you just need to play the Dares of Eternity activity in Eternity. Then you can use Treasure Keys after completing the activity to open chests for weapons based on the Halo series. To get the Other Half for yourself in Destiny 2, you need to open the chest next to Xur in his Treasure Hoard. There's a random chance that this weapon will be yours each time you open it up. But you can probably see why this can be so annoying. There's no way to improve the low odds of gettin...

Monopoly Go Man PosingMonopoly GO is a game of chance. Or at least it was until the airplane mode hack was discovered that allowed people to cheat chance. Does this hack still work, however? What is the Airplane Mode Hack for Monopoly GO? The airplane mode hack was discovered by someone who really wasn't happy with the rolls they got in Monopoly GO, it would seem. The hack allowed players to use airplane mode to disconnect from the servers while still playing the game. This allowed them to retcon any poor rolls they made by swiping off the app. Image via Scopely When they would load Monopoly GO again, their tokens were back to where they were before the roll with the dice, completely unspent. This hack allows players with a lot of patience to essentially play God, where they can make sure their x50 or even x100 rolls are being put to good use. Being able to perfect your every roll in a game of chance allowed people to breeze through milestone events and conquer...

Destiny 2 Live ServiceRight now, in the middle of November 2023, Destiny 2 has seen its average live service daily player count drop to an all-time low of only 33,552. This is the first time in the games 6 year life span it has seen the servers so barren. Are the low player counts due to outside competition, or has Destiny 2 just finally reached its limit? The live service game has been updated, tweaked, added to, and rehashed hundreds of times over its lifespan. It truly is a testament to the potential of the live service model. However, every dog has its day, and maybe this is the sign to take an old hound for the eternal walk around the block. Not the first of its kind Destiny 2 is by no means the first live service game to attempt a run as long as it has. With EVE Online having run since 2005 and reporting almost as many players as Destiny 2, there are still some old hands in the game. World of Warcraft, despite Blizzards' secrecy when it comes to player counts, still racks u...

What are the Trade Reset Times in Monopoly GOMonopoly GO features Partner Events, a limited-time event that offers tons of great rewards and goodies.
