Capcom announced the donation of 120 million yen to support the victims and families affected by the 2024 Sea of Japan earthquake that struck near the Noto Peninsula. The donation amount is equivalent to $826,380. [Thanks, Livedoor News!]
The company announced the donation in a statement shared through its website, alongside a message sharing its condolences for the victims of the earthquake and their families. Capcom detailed that the recipients of this donation would be various local governments affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake. The money will be used for relief and support of the victims as well as restoration of the affected areas.
In addition to Capcom, other Japanese video game companies recently announced various donations. Square Enix and The Pokemon Company offered separate donations of 50 million yen each to the Japanese Red Cross Society. Cover Corporation, owners of the Hololive VTuber agency, also donated 5 million yen to Japan's Red Cross Society.
Capcom announced they are donating 120 million yen (about $826,380) to help restore the areas affected by the 2024 Sea of Japan earthquake on the Noto Peninsula. The donation will also support families impacted by the event.

Capcom and Tokyo Marui announced the re-release of the Albert Wesker Model 01P airsoft gun replica from Resident Evil 7. The airsoft gun replica is now available from Tokyo Marui for 25,080 yen (or approximately $173) and Amazon Japan (19,475 yen ~$134), which offers overseas shipping. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]
The airsoft gun replica includes the model's name, Albert. W. Model 01P on the right side of the chamber, and the Umbrella Corporation name on the left side. The handle of the gun also includes the Blue Umbrella logo on it.
In Resident Evil 7, Chris Redfield uses the gun as part of his standard equipment when collaborating with Blue Umbrella on the cleanup of the Baker House Incident. The gun is a modification based on the Samurai Edge pistol used by S.T.A.R.S. members of the Raccoon City Police Department.

Tokyo Marui originally released the Albert W Model 01P replica in August 2018. Additionally, the company released a replica of Leon's gun from the Resident Evil 4 remake in February 2023. The Resident Evil 7 Albert Wesker airsoft gun replica is now available from Tokyo Marui and other retailers like Amazon Japan and Rakuten. Resident Evil 7 is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Nintendo Switch via cloud streaming.
