Jaran, a service for booking trips, will have a collaboration commercial with Yu Yu Hakusho from January 31, 2024. The commercial will feature the main four characters from the show, as well as Toguro (the younger one), relaxing in a hot tub. [Thanks, Game Watch!]
Yusuke's voice actor, Nozomu Sasaki, will be in charge of narrating the commercial. It will apparently feature lines and familiar catchphrases from the episode previews. Aside from scenes of the character relaxing in a hot tub, it'll show some cuts from the original anime.
Some preview scenes show Yusuke and Toguro fighting in the Dark Tournament. So, the look of the commercial will change between the show's retro aesthetic and the more modern art style. Yu Yu Hakusho is an anime and manga series by Yoshihiro Togashi, who later created Hunter x Hunter. It was wildly popular in the 90's, though recently Netflix produced a live-action adaptation of the show.
It follows delinquent Yusuke who becomes a Spirit World Detective after he dies saving a kid, an act which the Spirit World did not expect. The show focuses more on the action and fighting rather than Yusuke's detective gigs.
The commercial for Jaran featuring the Yu Yu Hakusho characters will appear on its YouTube channel on January 31, 2024.

A third collaboration pop-up store involving merchandise of Jujutsu Kaisen and Sanrio characters is about to open in Japan starting on February 17, 2024. The collaboration will include items featuring six characters from the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 anime movie. [Thanks, Manga Watch!]
The new pop-up store will appear at the Ikebukuro Parco store in Tokyo from February 17, 2024 to March 1, 2024, and then again later at the Nagoya Parco East store from March 2, 2024 to April 7, 2024. There are no details yet regarding what merchandise will be available at the pop-up store, and news will appear at a later date. However, the Jujutsu Kaisen and Sanrio character pairings have been revealed in a new illustration.

This is the third collaboration to pair characters from both franchises. The first collaboration was announced back in September 2021, ahead of the Japanese release of Jujutsu Kaisen 0.
The new Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Sanrio collaboration pop-up store with merchandise will be available between February 17, 2024 to March 1, 2024 at the Ikebukuro Parco store, and between March 2, 2024 to April 7, 2024 at the Nagoya Parco East store. Toho Animation released a new trailer revealing the release date and title of the new My Hero Academia: You're Next anime movie. The movie will premiere in Japan on August 2, 2024.
The plot of the movie will focus on professional hero All Might, the students at U.A. High School, and an as-of-yet unknown character who seems to be obsessed with the aforementioned hero. The trailer teased that the character will adopt All Might's identity, albeit in a villainous capacity.
The key visual for the new My Hero Academia anime movie features protagonists Deku, Bakugo, Ochako, Todoroki, and Iida facing off against this villainous version of All Might. The fourth My Hero Academia anime movie was initially announced in August 2023, alongside the reveal of its first key visual teasing the title of the movie. Season 7 of the anime series was recently announced to be in production, and a teaser trailer for the new season was released.

SuperGroupies announced a brand new collection based on Ghost of Tsushima featuring a jacket, watch, and backpack based on Jin Sakai. The SuperGroupies Ghost of Tsushima line pre-orders will be open until February 18, 2024.
The Ghost of Tsushima line of SuperGroupies products will be made to order, meaning they will be produced for those who order during the pre-order period. There may be remaining items available for purchase after they release but there is no guarantee fans will be able to obtain them after release. The watch is planned for release in early October 2024, and the jacket and backpack will ship early August 2024.
The Jin Sakai Model Jacket features a dark color scheme based on Jin's armor from Ghost of Tsushima. The collar has Jin's Ghost mask design embroidered on it and can be worn up or removed from the jacket. The Sakai Clan's emblem is sewn onto the left arm sleeve. The front pocket zipper has a red knotted charm based on the ropes founds on Jin's Ghost armor. The inside of the jacket features a tag with the Sakai Clan emblem, a golden bird, a fox, maple leaves, and wind motifs. The jacket also comes with a white hand towel tenugui with "Jin's Journey" written in kanji and "Ghost of Tsushima" underneath the kanji. The strings on each side of the towel can be pulled to attach it on the waist like a fundoshi. The jacket comes in sizes Medium to XXL.
The Jin Sakai Model Watch comes in all black and features a face with the Ghost's mask and the crown has the Sakai Clan emblem. The display features a day and night feature modeled after the Legend gauge from Ghost of Tsushima. The band of the watch is made out of Himeji Kurozan leather, a rare material made through traditional tanning and lacquering techniques using Japanese black beef. This sort of special leather is stated to have been used for armors crafted during the Sengoku period of Japan.

In 2021, it was announced that a Ghost of Tsushima movie is in development. Ghost of Tsushima is available for the PlayStation 4. The Director's Cut of the game is also available for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Below are some of the most efficient ways to work through your Season 3 Battle Pass.
Completing all activities in the Season Journey Tab is generally the best bet for grinding through the Battle Pass with maximum efficiency. This is because players will also receive unique seasonal rewards alongside obtaining Battle Pass levels. This includes a total of two Season exclusive Icons and Titles.
Caches are also rewarded at each Tier, rewarding players with Shatter Stones, Governing and Tuning Stones, and Pearls of Warding. These all play into the theming and activities players can participate in, which includes Vaults. You can read about how to unlock Vaults here.
However, you should be able to get a decent amount of levels in your Battle Pass by grinding out levels and Aspects to reach the end game. Once you've gotten your Aspects and hit level 50, you can begin running Hell Tides, which are the best way to get gear to fully realize your build and begin grinding out items at maximum efficiency. Because that's really what the Diablo series' end game has always been abot.
Diablo 4 is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. The Vessel of Hatred DLC expansion will arrive in late 2024.

Bandai Namco revealed that certain versions of Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash will include a variant of RBI Baseball called Jujutsa 2024 and Jujutsu RBI. Only people who get the $79.99 Digital Deluxe or $99.99 Digital Ultimate version of the fighting game.
This minigame is basically a reskinned version of RBI Baseball for the NES. Players will go through typical games. However, the players will all be characters from Jujutsu Kaisen's Tokyo and Kyoto Jujutsu High branches. This means their names and their sprites' appearances will be designed to resemble the familiar faces.
There's a trailer offering a hint at how it will look. However, it is also more of a joke one, as it features a moment when Aoi Todo gets hit by a ball and Yuji Itadori runs out to cradle him while everyone else says, "Nice pitch!"

It is unknown if this minigame will also eventually be sold as DLC for people who don't buy the Digital Deluxe or Digital Ultimate versions.

It doesn't take long for people to add characters from one game into another via mods. New Hoshinoyuuko Palworld mods uploaded by HirohikoHoshino to Nexus Mods add Topaz and her Warp Trotter Numby from Honkai: Star Rail to the game on PCs.
The Topaz and Numby mods are two separate files. The one for Topaz is a female character replacement that is about 11.1mb in size. If someone grabs the Numby one, it replaces Rushoar in-game. That's a 475kb file.
Here are the screenshots shared by HirohikoHoshino, to offer us a better idea of how the mods look when installed in the game.
To compare to those Palworld mods, here is how Topaz and Numby look in Honkai: Star Rail.
The installation processes for both are fairly similar. For the Numby one, HirohikoHoshino said to drop them in the Mods folder in the Palworld Pal Content Pak directory (Palworld\Pal\Content\Pak\Mods). As for Topaz, the files for her go into Palworld\Pal\Content\Pak. The downloads section on Nexus Mods do have mod manager download link options for each one.
Palworld is in early access on the PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Honkai: Star Rail is available on the PS5, PC, and mobile devices.

Bandai released a Shokugan Modeling Project plastic model kit of Voltes V. The kit is now available to purchase at stores across Japan with a price tag of 9,350 yen (~$63).
The kit will first let the owner construct the five machines that constitute the Voltes V. They are the Volt Crewzer, Volt Bomber, Volt Panzer, Volt Frigate, and Volt Lander. But other than the Voltes V, the owner can also reconfigure the machines to form the Heavy Tank Mode.
The package also includes stickers and additional parts for the completed Voltes V, including the signature Heaven Sword. As the Japanese term Shokugan can mean 'food toy' or 'candy toy,' Bandai completes the set with a soda-flavored gum.
Super Electromagnetic Robot Voltes V is a classic super robot anime show that first aired in Japan in 1977. It has also been featured frequently in Banpresto and Bandai Namco's Super Robot Wars crossover game series. The most recent entries that feature the title are the console game Super Robot Wars 30 and the mobile game Super Robot Wars DD.
The anime show also has immense popularity in the Philippines. In 2023, GMA Network released a live-action drama adaptation titled Voltes V: Legacy. Later in the same year, Bandai Spirits confirmed plans to produce a new figure based on the new version by revealing its prototype at Tamashii Nation in November 2023.

The Pokemon Company International and The Wand Company announced mini Poke Ball replicas are on the way. The official page for it shows the standard Poke Ball, which will debut on February 27, 2024.
A price hasn't been announced for the unit yet. However, The Wand Company announced it will be sold at places like Amazon and The Pokemon Center. Like the full-size models, they will be die-cast metal replicas with an LED stand and a glowing button on the Poke Ball itself. There are also proximity and touch sensors on them. Each one comes with a Bulbasaur silver token you can use as a display ring.

There's also an image of the mini Poke Ball replica alongside the original one, to offer a greater sense of scale. The new one is 40mm wide and weighs 80 grams.
There is also a teaser image of upcoming mini replicas. The company noted that there will be Mini Great Ball, Mini Ultra Ball, Mini Cherish Ball, and Mini Premier Ball ones appearing over the course of 2024, but there are no release dates for any of them yet. Here's how those will look:

Looking for some fun games to play on the AYANEO Slide after checking out our review? It runs a whole host of things, of course, but we thought we'd dig in on the sorts of games that the Slide does better than other handhelds out there.
Steam Deck compatibility? Who needs it!
The biggest difference between a native Windows handheld and a Steam Deck is the compatibility layer the Deck uses to run games on Linux. It works remarkably well for most games, too! But most ain't all, and Slide owners can take advantage of incompatible games like the ones below.
Atelier (franchise)
Whether it's Atelier Ryza 3, Atelier Remake, or some (though not all) of the older titles, the Atelier franchise is full of games that aren't Deck-compatible but would run great on an AYANEO Slide.
Grandia HD Remaster, Grandia II HD Remaster
These remasters of RPG classics work well on a handheld. Older titles in the genre tend to have segments with a bit of monotony relative to modern releases, so short bursts or playing while multitasking are good strategies for enjoying them.
Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water
There's something about the heft and form factor of the AYANEO Slide that fits well with a game about holding a camera. While we'd love to see some of the more beloved earlier games (and, uh, there are ways to play those on this thing too), these two are still a fun time.
Moon: Remix RPG Adventure
We're not entirely sure what's holding back this game's compatibility, but hey, one more opportunity to recommend that people play Moon is great. It's quirky and ahead of its time, fitting in way better with today's Undertale crowd than its mid-'90s peers.
Use that keyboard
The Slide's unique form factor makes it ideal for games that sometimes use the keyboard. And that's tough to find! But here are our picks for making the most out of the hardware configuration.
Nanotale: Typing Chronicles
If you're looking for experimental keyboard games, a great place to start is with developer Fishing Cactus. That team has a handful of typing-based experiences, but Nanotale feels to us like the best fit for the Slide. It's an exploration RPG that can get frantic, but usually proceeds at a more reasonable pace to handle on the small keys.
The Typing of the Dead: Overkill
This may be something of a challenge — the keyboard is usable but not particularly fast or full-size — but if you really want to have an experience you can't on other handhelds, The Typing of the Dead will do that.
Think outside the box?
Sure, it's a keyboard, but it's also dozens of mappable buttons. Does that help with an MMO? Or Baldur's Gate? The most interesting implementations of this form factor are going to take a bit of customization, but we'd love to see it.
Raid Game Pass for a while
Windows-based handhelds like the AYANEO Slide can jump into Game Pass games out of the box, without trickery or cloud streaming. Here are our Siliconera-friendly recommendations for what's on the platform right now.
Yakuza/Like a Dragon (franchise)
We have a few other recommendations, but if we only had this one, you'd still be set for months. From Yakuza 0 to Like a Dragon: Ishin! and Like a Dragon Gaiden, you can play through essentially the full franchise (until the just-released Infinite Wealth) on Game Pass. They run well on the Slide in our testing, and the environments benefit greatly from the vibrant display.
Persona 5 Tactica
It's still interesting to see Persona on Xbox at all. But hey, an original tactics game in that world makes for a good fit both on a handheld and with the noted brightness of the Slide's screen.
Cassette Beasts
Of all the "Pokemon but better" indie efforts in recent years, Cassette Beasts stands out. It's got a cool look, and interesting point of view and combat that feels markedly fresh and different.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom
Both Ni no Kuni titles are on the service, but we have a soft spot for the ambitious sequel. It's like a bunch of different games mashed together, but it manages to do it in an endearing way.

HoYoverse released a new character trailer for the upcoming Genshin Impact character Gaming. The company also announced that he will be voice in English by Caleb Yun and by Shohei Komatsu in Japanese.
Gaming will be a Pyro character that wields a claymore, and his playstyle will emphasize plunging attacks. He is set to become available in the game alongside Xianyun in version 4.4 of Genshin Impact. As well as showing off his attacks, the trailer also details his job as a guard for the Sword and Strongbox transport service. After that, it shows how he performs as part of a Wushou troupe.
Gaming's English voice actor Caleb Yun is also known for voicing the male protagonist of HoYoverse's Honkai: Star Rail, as well as Hathaway Noa in Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway. Meanwhile, his Japanese counterpart Shohei Komatsu has previously performed as Cappy in Super Mario Odyssey and Land in Frieren: Beyond Journey's End.

Xianyun, who will appear on banner with Gaming, recently appeared in a character trailer focusing on her past too. HoYoverse also teased the character Chiori, who is expected to arrive sometime during update 4.5.
Gaming will become available to roll for in Genshin Impact with the arrival of update 4.4 on January 31, 2024. The game itself is readily available on the PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices.

Square Enix shared new details from FFVII Rebirth, revealing that the Shinra ferry between Junon and Costa del Sol features a Queen's Blood tournament for players to enjoy. It showed a screenshot and character art of the boat's captain.
The Shinra-8 is a cruise ship that transports travelers between the eastern and western continents and is operated by the Shinra Electric Power Company. The vessel is captained by Captain Titov, a captain who is well-respected by the sailors who serve under him. He also has a good reputation for being hardworking and passionate. Captain Titov also serves as the host for the various entertainment events held on the Shinra-8, which includes the Queen's Blood tournament. He is voiced by Tsuyoshi Koyama in Japanese and Jonathan Lipow in English.
The ship journeys from Junon Port and stops at the resort town of Costal del Sol. Aboard the ship, many different travelers partake in the Queen's Blood tournament as a way to stay entertained while making the long journey across the sea. Queen's Blood is a strategic card game within the world of FFVII Rebirth that requires players to collect cards and build their decks. Cards can be found across the map through various means, and many opponents can be found around the world of FFVII Rebirth waiting to battle against Cloud.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will release on the PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024. FFVII Remake is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. FFVII Ever Crisis is available on PC and mobile devices.

At the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2024, Bandai Namco and Toei Animation showed off both a Dragon Ball Daima Goku trailer and new Akira Toriyama art of various characters from the show. That will air in Fall 2024, as a reminder.
While the new character designs are listed as Toriyama ones, the artist also was involved in the design of the trailer and the story for the show. There's no voice acting, so we can't figure out what's being said in the scenes, but there is an orchestral score. A part of the video seems dedicated to showing Goku trying to eat, with his meal interrupted by enemies. The other shows a fight.
As for the new Akira Toriyama art of Dragon Ball Daima characters, a few images were shared. The ones of Goku, Krillin, some monstrous opponents, and the Toriyama "self portrait" are in color. However, the initial art of Mr. Satan, Android 18, Chichi, and Majin Buu are only initial black and white designs.
As a reminder, the show was first announced at the 2023 New York Comic Con. At the time, it only had a 2024 release window.
Dragon Ball Daima will air in Fall 2024.
