PCGamesN Thursday, April 25, 2024 4:39 PM Though the most anticipated medieval simulation game out this week is likely Manor Lords, the recently launched Bellwright has plenty of eyes on it as well. A combination of action, strategy, RPG game, and city builder that calls to mind Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord or Valheim, Bellwright came out in Early Access last Tuesday April 23 and was immediately met with disappointment, largely centered on the idea that the game simply wasn't ready yet, even as a work in progress. PCGamesN Thursday, April 25, 2024 11:49 AM What are the best Fallout 4 builds? The wasteland is a tough place to exist. It doesn't matter if you're a veteran of the RPG or you're coming fresh from the Fallout TV series, it pays to know the most powerful builds for your character so that you can survive against near-impossible odds, and thrive in the post-apocalypse. There is no one way to play this RPG game. Each character is a beautiful, potentially horrible snowflake; it's tough out there, and you've got to do whatever it takes to survive. Some people want to be a walking juggernaut, decimating anything in their path, while others (us) opt for a more… devious approach, swindling their way across the wasteland. PCGamesN Thursday, April 25, 2024 11:32 AM Is Manor Lords Steam Deck compatible? Performance isn't the problem when it comes to getting the best out of Manor Lords on Steam Deck, even when the game is still in early access. A simple settings tweak will achieve an admirable frame rate, but the lack of controller support might be too much for some to overcome. Tested on our Steam Deck OLED, a console we consider to be the best handheld gaming PC, Manor Lords proved a simple task on the graphical front. Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Thursday, April 25, 2024 11:00 AM The announcement trailer for Lost Legions opens with a Roman Emperor bellowing "GIVE ME BACK MY LEGIONS" like a kid who's just had his pudding taken away. I'd just had a big swig of coffee before watching, and was instantly swept off by visions of an apoplectic Roman bigwig rampaging through the forests of darkest Germania, gluing abducted legionnaires together into a sort of Octavian katamari... and then they revealed that it's another open world survival game, with no less than two trailer beats dedicated to the act of hacking down a tree. I mean no disrespect to developers Tarock Interactive - they're not to blame for my addled imagination - but there are many open world survival games and as a weary Ed Thorn recently noted, the majority are heavily frontloaded with wilderness carpentry. I don't think survival games should emphasise wood-chopping in their announcement footage. It's like doing a Call of Duty montage of people getting shot three seconds from spawn. Still, if there's no katamari mechanic, the idea of raising a small army of mostly AI-controlled Roman soldiers behind enemy lines has a certain charm. Without further ado, here's the trailer. |

In a recent announcement to shareholders, Capcom confirmed a revised earnings forecast, which is now higher than previously predicted. Dragon's Dogma 2 and Street Fighter 6 are both credited as reasons for the revision.
The original earnings forecast was announced by Capcom on May 10, 2023. This original forecast predicted that Capcom would reach net sales of ¥140 billion within the financial year, for a net income of ¥40 billion. However, this has now been revised to ¥152.4 billion net sales for a net income of ¥43 billion. This is a significant increase from the previous financial year, where the company had made ¥125.9 billion in net sales for a net profit of ¥36.7 billion.
Capcom has stated that the revised earnings forecast is largely attributed to the success of Dragon's Dogma 2 and Street Fighter 6. Capcom's report cited "broad acclaim globally" for the latest Street Fighter while Dragon's Dogma 2 has "performed favorably" in the fourth quarter. The company had previously announced that the game had sold 2.5 million copies. In addition, legacy titles have been doing well, with previously games in other major franchises continuing to sell well.
Capcom's continued financial success had led to them announcing salary increases earlier this year. New hires will see salary increases of 30% while existing employees will also gain a 5% increase.
Dragon's Dogma 2 is out now for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Sega has released new sitting plushes modeled after Kazuma Kiryu and Ichiban Kasuga from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, also known as Yakuza 8. The chibi plushes have average dimensions of 16 x 14 x 24 cm (~6.3 x 5.5 x 9.45 inches). Both plushes are available as exclusive prize items from the online crane game SEGA UFO Catcher Online.
The tweet from Sega's official Japanese X account includes a link that leads to the SEGA UFO Catcher Online website. However, accessing the site from anywhere outside Japan will generate a "Restricted Access" message.
While these plushes are legally available only in Japan, there will be other merchandise related to the Like a Dragon / Yakuza series that will be available worldwide. The sitting plushes of Kazuma Kiryu and Ichiban Kasuga are immediately available in Japan via SEGA UFO Catcher Online. Sega modeled these chibi plushes after the characters' appearances in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, which is alternatively known in Japan as Ryu ga Gotoku 8 and available worldwide on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC. This set will consist of the Personal Trooper Huckebein Mk-III and the AM (Armored Module) Boxer. Bandai Spirits had previously released the Huckebein Mk-III model kit on its own in January 2024 at 4,950 yen (~$31.80). This set will thus exclusively feature the AM Boxer.
The owner will be able to reconfigure the AM Boxer to form the Gravity Sword. If they also have the AM Gunner, which is sold separately on Premium Bandai at 7,700 yen (~$49.50), they can combine both modules to produce the Full Impact Cannon.
Here are the sample images for the Huckebein Boxer model kit set:
The Boxer set will continue the line of Huckebein units that Bandai Spirits has released model kits of. The company started the line with Huckebein Mk-II in March 2023. These Super Robot Wars original units are particularly noted for their resemblance to Gundams.
The HG (High Grade) model kit of Huckebein Boxer from the Super Robot Wars: Original Generation series will be available in July 2024.

As of April 24, 2024, Dragon Quest Walk made over $2 billion in revenue for Square Enix. It reached this milestone under five years. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
This information comes from Sensor Tower, which released an analysis report of Dragon Quest Walk on April 24, 2024. Aside from analyzing how much money Dragon Quest Walk accumulated per year, we can also see that it makes the most revenue out of all of Square Enix's mobile games. When it comes to similar games, people are also spending far more time on Dragon Quest Walk compared to Pikmin Bloom and Pokemon Go. Players spend an average of 192 minutes per week on Pokemon Go and 154 minutes on Pikmin Bloom. In comparison, people average 545 minutes weekly on Dragon Quest Walk.
As mentioned earlier, Dragon Quest Walk is very similar to Pokemon Go and Pikmin Bloom. It's an AR game in which the phone uses your location information to send your character on adventures. You can also fight various monsters to level up and get items, as well as interact with characters. The quest system makes players go to real-world locations, which will unlock more enemies and characters. As of the time of writing, the game is only available in Japan.
Dragon Quest Walk is readily available on mobile devices in Japan.

Bandai Spirits revealed the release window for the first Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Robot Spirits action figure. It will feature the IB-07: Sol 644 piloted by the Armored Core 6 character Ayre. The figure will be available worldwide in September 2024 at 18,150 yen (~$116.60).
The action figure will have an overall height of approximately 16 cm (~6.3 inches). It will come pre-built, so the owner does not have to assemble it like model kits. However, the package will also include a pair of alternate hand parts that the owner can use to swap.
Here are the sample images for the upcoming Armored Core VI Robot Spirits action figure:
Bandai Spirits had previously showcased a prototype of the action figure at the Tamashii Nation event in November 2023. However, this will not be the only Armored Core VI to come from the company. Watch out—a Splatoon 3 Reefslider pool float will appear in online stores (such as Rakuten and Yodobashi) from April 26, 2024. It will cost 5,280 JPY ($33.99). [Thanks, Game Watch!]
According to Game Watch, as of the time of writing, many stores have closed their pre-orders for the pool float. This means that people who want it might have to try purchasing it (while supplies last) after orders open up. At 1100 x 1540 x 660 millimeters, it's actually big enough that an adult can ride it as they swim around a pool. There's also a saddle on the back so that it'll be comfortable to sit on. Since it's a pool float, you will obviously need to first fill it with air before you can do anything with it.
In Splatoon 3, the Reefslider is a special weapon that appears as a pool float. It can travel forward at high speeds, splatting enemies when it hits people. It will then explode. As for what it looks like, the Reefslider looks like a shark that has a muzzle on its face and soda bottles on its tail.
Splatoon 3 is readily available on the Nintendo Switch. The Splatoon 3 inflatable Reefslider pool float will appear in online stores from April 26, 2024.

The new Pyro character Arlecchino and the Nostoi Region are now available in Genshin Impact, and that means HoYoVerse updated tools like its interactive map to account for the 4.6 content. In addition, new events from the latest version are in the Battle Chronicle.
If someone goes to the Genshin Impact Interactive Map website, they'll find a number of pins tied to Arlecchino materials and Nostoi. For example, some of the new pins will take you to the Beryl Conches, new Hydroculus spots, chests, and enemies. If you click the Level-Up Material tab, Arlecchino is now there and you can check for Rainbow Roses, Fatui Skirmishers, Fatui Agents, Fatui Cicin Mages, and Legatus Golems. The Enhancement Progression Calculator also updated with her details to make collecting easier. She's in the Lineup Simulator now too.
As for the Battle Chronicle, only two changes happened here. The Genshin Impact tool update now takes into account Specially-Shaped Saurian Search and Vibro-Crystal Applications. The new Vibro-Crystal event appears first. It starts on April 28, 2024, and it will end on May 9, 2024.

People who want to steal Princess Peach's look will be able to do so, as Bandai Lifestyle will release a Princess Peach make-up collection in May 2024. Those in Japan will be able to buy it in advance from the Nintendo stores in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto.
In total, there are three different products you can purchase. All of them feature Princess Peach on the design. There is a face mask, which costs 858 JPY ($5.50) for a pack of seven. It has a rose aroma and focuses on moisturization. The lip gloss, which costs 1650 JPY ($10.60), has an oil base with collagen in the formula. It only comes in pink. However, the color is quite faint on your lips. Finally, there are six colors of eyeshadow, which costs 550 JPY ($3.55) each. Some of these colors are also usable as blush.
While Peach has always been a major character in the Super Mario Bros series of games, she recently appeared in the spotlight with Princess Peach: Showtime. This is the first game in which Peach appears as a main playable protagonist. It follows Peach saving Sparkle Theatre from the villainous Sour Bunch. Because of this game, Nintendo has been releasing some Princess Peach-focused items, such as a clothing collection from Nintendo of NY.
Princess Peach: Showtime is readily available on the Nintendo Switch, and Bandai Lifestyle will release its make-up and skincare line based on the character some time in May 2024.

The latest patch for Dragon's Dogma 2 makes changes to the game's most controversial mechanic, dragonsplague. The patch is available now for all players on all platforms.
Dragonsplague has been a major source of debate among Dragon's Dogma 2 players. With this patch, Capcom have made it easier to deal with. For a start, the patch reduces the frequency that pawns can be infected, while signs of infection are now more noticeable. Capcom stated the example of glowing eyes being more visible.
However, dragonsplague isn't the only change made to Pawn behavior within the new Dragon's Dogma 2 patch. A number of changes have been made, mostly addressing unintended issues. This includes fixing times when players were unable to high five their Pawns, Pawns not guiding after offering and Pawns not speaking outside of combat. Pawns will now also be less likely to fall off cliffs.
The patch also aims to address a few other issues, such as adjustments to the mini map and various other unspecified bug fixes. There is also a new option to zoom in on character faces in menus. The full patch notes are available via the official website.
The previous Dragon's Dogma 2 patch made starting a new game easier as well as making it easier to get a house.
Dragon's Dogma 2 is out now for the PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
