Kotaku Friday, May 3, 2024 3:25 PM Metal Gear Solid's Master Collection has been out since October 2023. PCGamesN Friday, May 3, 2024 5:46 PM RimWorld's latest DLC, Anomaly, is a transformative expansion that turns the game into a nexus of horror. It's an intense experience that differs substantially from the base game as your colonists fight off paranoia, invisible monsters, brain parasites, and more. It culminates in a new endgame centered on a monolith that makes the world go insane. PCGamesN Friday, May 3, 2024 3:01 PM Gray Zone Warfare has been the breakout story this week: the tactical shooter has drawn attention from streamers and players alike, and after an initial wave of negative user reviews, its score is steadily climbing as more and more players mount up and head into the hot zone on Lamang Island. One persistent complaint, however, is that the game makes players pick a faction right off the bat - and that choice is locked in, preventing you from playing co-op with any friends who picked something else. PCGamesN Friday, May 3, 2024 11:55 AM Fake Intel CPU packages, specifically the Intel Core i9 14900K, have been found on sale in China that are completely missing a silicon chip underneath their heatspreader. The CPUs were being sold as "loose" chips packaged only in a clear plastic container, but with a legitimate-looking security sticker suggesting they were the real deal. However, once one buyer got what should have been one of the best gaming CPUs home and tried to use it they found the supposed Intel CPU didn't work at all. The armadillo was later revealed as the winner during the live event, and was added to the crafting game in April 2024. Let's face it, Minecraft mobs are one of the best things about the sandbox game - there's nothing better to come home to at the end of a long day's mining than a farm full of sheep, cows, and pigs, and a menagerie of cats, dogs, and rabbits behind your front door. PCGamesN Friday, May 3, 2024 11:28 AM The Backrooms has been one of the most interesting horror concepts to watch evolve in recent years. Initially thought up as an extradimensional space made up of off-yellow walls and the occasional monster peeking out from behind corners, the idea of the Backrooms has spread to other locations that feel 'off'; eerie liminal spaces that feel empty but not quite empty enough to relax. Alongside shopping malls and hotel hallways, family swimming pools have often been a subject of this, and POOLS has effectively run with this concept to make a full-fledged game of it. PCGamesN Friday, May 3, 2024 10:24 AM When is the Skate 4 release date? While we've seen plenty of early footage of Skate 4 already, EA's upcoming Skate revival is a rare case of a triple-A studio showing off very early in-development footage of a game. Though we've seen plenty of Skate 4, we can also clearly see it's not ready yet. It's already been over a decade since the last Skate game, so we can hold on a little longer. The first Skate was among the most innovative skateboard games around, from its analog control scheme and semi open-world game structure to its more realistic, less edgy representation of the skating scene. The development team behind Skate 3 was disbanded after its release in 2010, and the series' community has been consistently bombarding EA message boards with questions about the series and its potential return ever since. After talking with other Holostars Tempus members Shinri Josuiji, Machina x Flayon, and Banzoin Hakka, Siliconera got a chance to talk with the leader of the squad Gavis Bettel after Hololive SUPER EXPO 2024. In addition to insights about the event and Japan, Bettel discussed ambitions, plans, and about the newcomers in Armis.
Jenni Lada: So, how did hololive SUPER EXPO 2024 go?
Gavis Bettel: It went really well, it was great seeing all the fans! It was very touching talking to them all and seeing how my stupid self can make so many people so happy!
What was the best part of the trip to Japan?
Gavis Bettel: My favorite part of the trip? The flight home. Just kidding!
Honestly, anytime I was with the TEMPUS boys was by far my favorite experience. I loved getting to know them better and making unforgettable memories with each of them. Even though I hate them.
Now that the new generation of the Holostars English branch is here, how do you feel your relationship is with the newest members of the group compared to the ones you formed with your senpais Regis Altare and Axel Syrios?
Gavis Bettel: The ARMIS boys have been a refreshing breeze of fresh air! I enjoy all of them very much and am looking forward to getting to know them better! It's a much different experience being a senpai opposed to when I was too terrified to talk to Altare or Axel.
You got your new outfit back in February 2024. How involved were you in the design process?
Gavis Bettel: I had an original concept that I gave to my mama, and she took it and shaped it into something extraordinary! I am beyond happy with the result, and glad my mama was in charge of the creative process. (The plunging neckline was my idea though.)
What are some things you want to achieve in 2024?
Gavis Bettel: I want to reach new heights when it comes to my streaming endeavors. I want the world to know the name "Gavis Bettel," and become a name that is respected in EVERY HOUSEHOLD! In actuality, I want to release more music, get singing lessons,
and above all become more efficient and productive at streaming. This job makes me very happy, and I want to do all that I can to the best of my ability!
Do you have a message for your fans?
Gavis Bettel: Thank you for enduring the countless abuse that I throw at you every single day! It means a lot to me, and if I have made you cry in the past, I am sorry! I tolerate you all so much, and it's always a pleasure to sometimes see you all! Take care of yourselves please!
People can find Gavis Bettel's updates on social media and his streams on YouTube.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePop is likely getting a physical release. While no official confirmation has been given, designer Yoshimi Yasuda made the suggestion via social media.
Yasuda made a post in both Japanese and English stating that there have been many requests for a physical release of Lollipop Chainsaw RePop. Due to this demand, the team at Dragami Games are now looking into it alongside a digital download release. If the plans are successful, the team will aim for a worldwide release. It's unknown if the team will aim for a physical release at launch or if this will be a limited release later.
With Lollipop Chainsaw RePop set for a greater reveal soon and a proposed Summer 2024 release date, it's likely that more news on a potential physical release is also imminent.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePop is a remake of the 2012 Grasshopper Manufacture game Lollipop Chainsaw, developed by Dragami Games. It starred a cheerleader named Juliet surviving the zombie apocalypse using a chainsaw accompanied by her boyfriend's magically revived severed head. Neither Suda51 nor Gunn will be involved in the production of the remake.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePop is set for release sometime in Summer 2024. The game's platforms have not yet been announced.

The Helldivers 2 PC version on Steam will require a PSN account soon, Sony announced. All players will need to link their Steam accounts to a PSN one by June 4, 2024.
In an announcement made on the Helldivers 2 Steam page, the game will begin implementing a required PSN sign-in from May 6, 2024. Existing players will see a mandatory PSN login from May 30, 2024, and they have until June 4, 2024 to link their accounts. This requirement appears to still apply even if PC players do not have crossplay activated.
While Helldivers 2 has not required a PSN account on PC since its release, the post claims this was due to technical issues at launch. Sony has stated the reason for the new requirement is for "safety and security" of players. Their claim is that the PSN moderation tools will offer players better ways to report abuse.
Response from players on the announcement has been negative, with Sony's stated safety reasons being disputed in the comments of the announcement post. Despite the game's generally positive reception since its release, negative reviews are now appearing reducing the game's Steam rating to "Mixed" at the time of writing.
Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt has requested that players direct any questions or criticisms at Sony themselves.
Helldivers 2 is out now for PC and PS5.

If there is one element of the anime industry holding it back, it is the production committee system. It puts the bulk of the money back into the pockets of a select number of executives and investors, instead of the anime studios and animators. The anime Enter the Garden presents a case for a style and approach separate from that outdated and problematic format.
Azuki, a new anime brand, released Enter the Garden as its first true web anime series production. After some shorts and other projects, the show kicked off with its first episode called "The Waiting Man." Instead of going through streaming services like Crunchyroll and Netflix, it opted for an independent approach.
Fans can watch the fascinating series on either the Azuki YouTube channel or its official website. It has the legendary likes of Junichi Yamamoto, director of Code Geass, behind the helm of the premiere. In addition, it employs the iconic Japanese voice actors many fans likely already know and love, such as Akari Kito (Nezuko from Demon Slayer), Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch from Code Geass) and Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki from Gintama). As such, Enter the Garden sets itself up to stand on the same level of the usual high-quality anime fans are used to, with a similar level of talent, but without the aged restraints that need to go.
This shows all throughout the quite experimental premiere episode, which certainly gives off an artsy vibe from start to finish. The premiere lasts just under nine minutes and takes place almost entirely in the same spot. It focuses on an older man with a fishing rod who sits quietly next to a futuristic vending machine. It centers around the people who go up to the vending machine, including a girl frustrated with the lack of control in her personal life.
The brief interactions with the characters lead to a swift action sequence towards the end of "The Waiting Man." Of course, the Enter the Garden episode ends on an intriguing cliffhanger. It hints at the true purpose of the series and titular garden. Overall, I would liken this first episode to visiting an art museum. This first episode is like the main exhibit, which is stunning and enjoyable to look at. However, it is only really there for us to admire its beauty and ponder. There is a distinct lack of substance or anything really happening in the initial entry, due to the exceptionally short runtime.
For this reason, the first episode is best seen as proof of what is possible with independent anime like this one. To be fair, while the story and characters offer very little at this point, the animation looks stellar. The slightly futuristic vibes of the Japanese city give off some incredible detail in its grimy atmosphere. Meanwhile, the special effects of various aspects like water and lighting help to set the scene of the world well.
For now, Enter the Garden is worth a look just for its attempt at something wholly different from everything else in anime. It feels uniquely indie in a way I haven't seen from an series like this before. In some cases, I would even compare it to the current digital net cartoons surging in the West, such as The Amazing Digital Circus. I look forward to the next experimental and atmospheric episode.
Enter the Garden is available to stream right now via the Azuki YouTube and website.

People who purchased D: The Game The Collector's Edition for the 3DO found that instead of pressed discs, Limited Run Games shipped the item with burned CD-R discs unplayable on the system. After multiple people online, such as Voultar, pointed it out online, LRG announced it would send out replacement discs and honor refund requests.
Following the issue regarding the LRG D: The Game Collector's Edition 3DO CD-R discs coming to light, LRG sent out an email and began posting on social media about the pressed discs situation. In replies to accounts like Voultar and Cheap Ass Gamer, the company noted measures affected customers can take. It noted people who bought the title will be sent replacement discs. No timeline was mentioned for that remedy. It also directed people who wanted a refund to go to its Support Center. Someone could go to Contact Support to start a ticket. As a reminder, this edition of the game cost $64.99.
Here's one such example of LRG's response to the D: The Game 3DO CD-R and pressed discs situation.
This 3DO pressed disc and burned CD-R situation isn't the first time people experienced issues with a Limited Run Games game. DOOM: The Classics Collection involved an issue that would keep people from playing a purchased physical copy if they were unable to connect to the internet and log into their Nintendo Network or PlayStation Network account. In order to get a replacement, people needed to contact support, then send their Switch or PS4 copy back to LRG before they would get a replacement.
D: The Game is available on the 3DO and PC.

The third batch of Kingdom Hearts wafers with cards will come out in Japan on June 3, 2024. You'll be able to purchase them from the snack corners of stores all across Japan.
In total, there are 28 possible cards to get from the wafers. There are 8 world cards, 10 story cards, and 10 special art cards. The story cards use scenes from the game and the world cards show a visual of Sora and his friends posing with the characters from the Disney films. Finally, the special art cards use key visuals or promotional images. Aside from a card, each bag will contain a cocoa cream wafer. It'll cost 150 JPY (less than $1) for a bag.
Here's a closer look at the Kingdom Hearts cards people can get:
Similar to blind boxes, these wafers are quite popular among anime and video game fans in Japan. Not only do you get a snack, but you can also experience the thrill of opening up a blind box for a relatively low price. Bandai has released these wafers for other series, such as Genshin Impact, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and Jujutsu Kaisen.
Kingdom Hearts III is the latest mainline title from the Kingdom Hearts series, and it came out in 2019. It continues the story of Sora as he explores the various Disney worlds with Donald Duck and Goofy. This time, their goal is to stop Xehanort before he can start another Keyblade War. Unlike previous games in the series, this one did not have any Final Fantasy characters appear.
The Kingdom Hearts wafers will appear in stores across Japan from June 3, 2024.
