After going over the Tank jobs, the Final Fantasy XIV Letter from the Producer Live LXXXI Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida and Global Community Producer Toshio "Foxclon" Murouchi mentioned the Melee DPS job changes and adjustments to the Dragoon, Monk, Ninja, Reaper, and Samurai. These went over how specific skills change, as well as new actions that will be added.
First, the general FFXIV Dawntrail Melee DPS job changes came up. For all characters, Second Wind will be stronger. Once someone gets into the level 90 to 100 range, it will heal more of a player's health. The increase in level will also affect Feint. It will last 15 seconds as someone levels up to the new cap.
As for the more specific changes to the FFXIV Dawntrail Dragoon, Monk, Ninja, Reaper, and Samurai jobs, these involve a mix of new actions and updates to make existing abilities function better. Things started with the Monk, which will greatly change. The goal will be to make each new action more potent. In the past, players' rotations involved buffs and DOTs. Brotherhood will be changes to stop chakra overflow by now allowing 10. Three Dragoon changes were mentioned. The big ones are that Drakesbane is being added to the single-target combo and Life of the Dragon won't require Dragon Gauge. The Ninja's Huton will become an AOE attack with Hidden, and its effect will become a trait for the class. With a Samurai, there are two things happening. Tsubame-gaeshi can be used after Meikyo Shisui after 7.0. Also, Hakaze, Midare Setsugekka, and Tenka Goken will become actions. Finally, Reaper can use Enshroud after Plentiful Harvest, and Enshroud will get a new action tied to it.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Dawntrail expansion debuts on July 2, 2024.

The Tank jobs were the first ones discussed in the Final Fantasy XIV Letter from the Producer Live LXXXI, with Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida and Global Community Producer Toshio "Foxclon" Murouchi brought up specific changes to the FFXIV Dark Knight, Gunbreaker, Paladin, and Warrior. While there are general adjustments for all roles in this area, specific slides looked at changes for those four.
The two changes applying to all Tank jobs in FFXIV involve Rampart and Reprisal. In the case of Rampart, it and similar 30% damage reduction abilities will be stronger when someone is between level 90 and 100. Likewise, the Reprisal change applies when someone reaches those higher levels. The duration will go up to 15 seconds.
Meanwhile, here are the four slides looking at the detailed FFXIV Dawntrail job changes for the Dark Knight, Gunbreaker, Paladin, and Warrior. Things started with the Paladin. Atonement is getting new actions and animations, while Blade of Valor is getting an additional action. The Warrior will get a new action that can appear after Decimate or Fell Cleave. Primal Rend will also feature a new follow-up action. The Dark Knight will get a new action as well, which will come up after Living Shadow. Blood Weapon is also going to change and be upgraded to Delirium. Finally, the Gunbreaker will get a Fated Circle new action and a Bloodfest three-step combo.

Once the Final Fantasy XIV Letter from the Producer Live LXXXI really got to it, Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida and Global Community Producer Toshio "Foxclon" Murouchi went over some general changes to things like the level caps, actions, and Action change Settings feature for jobs. While initially, they offered an overview of information, much of the focus went to the Action Change Settings and how this will affect gameplay.
First, Yoshida and Murouchi mentioned how the level cap will be increased to 100 for all jobs in FFXIV. This also means new actions for each role. The two then went over how the balance updates and changes this time are designed around quality of life changes. The official slide during the showcase mentioned this is about "ease of use" for players and considering their feedback from playing. Specifically, Yoshida noted they looked at what people were saying after the Endwalker expansion and patches following the 6.0 update.
From there, Yoshida and Murouchi discussed the FFXIV Dawntrail Action Change Settings addition. People will be able to choose if a changing action will be replaced. Yoshida clarified that this is part of the ease of use and quality of life adjustments. It is to prevent "undesired activation" and not to affect the amount of DPS someone deals. The goal is to allow further customization of control schemes and prevent the wrong buttons from being pressed.
A slide shared during this part of the discussion showed how the Action Change Settings in the Action & Traits menu will look in FFXIV Dawntrail. It will appear under the action, with the example showing the Dragoon and the Jump and Elusive Jump.

While the point of the Final Fantasy XIV Letter from the Producer Live LXXXI was to go over jobs, Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida and Global Community Producer Toshio "Foxclon" Murouchi also discussed the FFXIV Dawntrail Benchmark Tool update, Fantasia, and suggested the updated tool release date could be May 30, 2024 or May 31, 2024. Yoshida noted that there was "quite a lot to address," "they will address as much as possible," but did show how the lighting changed and confirm the team will try and catch as much as possible during the Q&A process.
The release date discussion built upon Yoshida's initial information about the FFXIV Dawntrail Benchmark Tool update release window. Back then, he said it could be around May 23, 2024. This was dependent on the Q&A and development process. The new update is the end of May 2024. However, Yoshida said this could get pushed past the weekend, which would put it sometime in June and perhaps around June 3, 2024 or later.
One of the things that came up during this section involved the Miqo'te canine teeth that look like fangs. Yoshida called for feedback about how the teeth look. Before and after images of the male and female Miqo'te were shared to offer examples of the distinction between the two.
Yoshida also brought up the Fantasia potion during the update on the FFXIV Dawntrail Benchmark Tool. Upon release of 7.0 Dawntrail, people will be able to take a quest from an NPC in Ul'dah to get a free Fantasia. This is to help newcomers learn what the potion does, as well as help existing players fine-tune characters after the update. It will apparently have a low level requirement.
Within 60 minutes of playtime after using Fantasia, if you want to make adjustments to your character creation, you can after 7.0. Yoshida pointed out will be designed to ensure players' characters look exactly how they wanted after using the creator. There's no limitation on how many times you can go back and change, as long as it is within 60 playtime minutes of using Fantasia in FFXIV.

Final Fantasy XIV Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida and Global Community Producer Toshio "Foxclon" Murouchi kicked off the Letter from the Producer Live LXXXI with the FFXIV Dawntrail title screen and job actions trailer. Both offered a first look at what to expect.
First, the Letter from the Producer Live LXXXI started things with the over 20 minute long FFXIV Dawntrail Job Actions trailer. It started with the Dragoon, before heading to the Paladin. The Warrior showed up after that. The Astrologian followed. From there, the Dancer danced and the Reaper reaped. The Red Mage's and Machinist's attacks came up after that. The Ninja, Sage, Black Mage, followed. At the 10:28 mark, the new Dawntrail job Viper appeared. White Mage, Monk, Dark Knight, Bard, Summoner, Samurai, and Scholar came up after that. At 18:40, you can see the FFXIV Dawntrail Pictomancer job actions. The video then ended with the Gunbreaker.
After that, Yoshida and Murouchi showed the FFXIV Dawntrail title screen and opening menu. It shows the Tural city Tullyollal in the background. The options, as usual, are Game Start, Data Center, Movie & Title Versions, options, License, and Exit.
Following showing the FFXIV Dawntrail title screen and menu, Yoshida and Murouchi joked about how Yoshida almost hit the wrong button during this showcase on stream.

Every way of getting rid of the ghosts in Baladins The Dance With The Ghosts quest in Baladins has two quest endings – the easiest one concerns getting rid of the ghosts so Bleiz can stop worrying about her mother. There are a few ways you could do this – although note that it doesn't really matter which one you pick, as they'll all end up with the same quest ending. Although getting the different items at the end of each method is worth it so you can satiate the dragon.
