Early stages soon lose any real sense of surprise, and later ones can feel low on real agency. I want a new roguelike run to feel vital and verdant; heady with grand plans and plan-shattering twists. But by having randomness influence each run so significantly, Mystery Dungeon feels fickle instead of emergent - less than the sum of some incredibly novel and creative parts. |

Lasengle announced that the upcoming Fate/Grand Order Christmas event will turn servant Abigail Williams into Santa Claus, as well as introduce a brand new servant to the mobile game. The F/GO "Christmas Eve in Pohjola: Dreaming Santa and The Nutcracker" event starts on December 11, 2024, and the update applies only to the Japanese game servers.
The new Abigail Williams Santa servant version is a 4-star character in the Pretender class. Meanwhile, Louhi is a completely new a 5-star Christmas servant and is a Berserker class unit. Louhi is a character taken from the Kalevala epic poetry compilation and derived from Finnish mythology.
To participate in the new "Christmas Eve in Pohjola: Dreaming Santa and The Nutcracker" event, players need to have completed Lostbelt No.6 Part 2. The Abigail Williams (Santa) servant can be obtained in Fate/Grand Order by progressing through the main story of the event. Meanwhile, Louhi will be available as a Saint Quartz Summon gacha pull for the duration of the event.

As a reminder, the Japanese Christmas 2023 event for Fate/Grand Order turned Nemo into Santa Claus as a Rider class servant.

Bandai Spirits will release a hat that'll let you look like Majin Buu from Dragon Ball Z. This item will appear in Banpresto crane games from December 10, 2024.
The Dragon Ball Z Majin Buu hood is around 28 centimeters in length, meaning it should fit on most people. It has the tentacle-like protrusion from his head, the four dots around it, and the odd-looking ears that Majin Buu has. Since it covers the ears as well, it might be something warm you can wear in the colder months. Bandai Spirits also plans to release a Piccolo hood in February 2025. That one will also be a crane game prize, so you'll need to find some Banpresto crane games to get it.
Apart from the Majin Buu hat, Bandai Spirits has released some odd Dragon Ball Z merchandise in the past. In 2022, it released a giant cushion that resembled Freiza's capsule pod. It was big enough for people to lay down in it as well, so it wasn't a crane game but something you needed to pre-order or purchase via the official website.
Dragon Ball Z is available on streaming services like Crunchyroll. The Majin Buu hat will appear in Banpresto crane games in Japan from December 10, 2024.

As part of a collaboration with D Anime Store, Sakura Miko of hololive will stream the Football Frontier arc of Inazuma Eleven. You'll be able to catch this stream from December 13, 2024 at 7:00 PM JST/2:00 AM PST/5:00 AM EST.
D Anime Store is a paid anime streaming service in Japan, which is why Sakura Miko will be watching anime for this stream. You can also catch Inazuma Eleven on there, though in the Japanese dub. As a note, Sakura Miko will likely not stream the show on her channel for copyright reasons. Instead, you'll need to prepare the episodes on your own and follow along.
The Football Frontier arc of Inazuma Eleven was the very season of the show, which covered the events of the first game. It focused on Mamoru Endo, goalkeeper and captain of the Raimon soccer team. The show starts with everyone lacking motivation to actually play soccer and get better. However, when the club is in danger of disbandment, they decide to train harder in order to defeat the power Teikoku Academy, the best team in Japan.

To commemorate 10 million worldwide downloads of Infinity Nikki, Infold will give everyone 10 Resonite Crystals, which equates to 10 free pulls. You'll have until December 31, 2024 to claim this prize.
As a note, in order to claim the free Infinity Nikki pulls, you'll need to have access to your in-game inbox. To do so, you have to unlock the Pear-Pal feature after joining Florawish Stylist's Guild. However, this is in the very early hours of the game, so it shouldn't take long for those already playing, or those who wish to start today.
Infinity Nikki is an open-world fantasy game that's part of the Nikki series of fashion games. Like the other Nikki games, you can unlock special dresses and accessories to make your own look. Some dresses in Infinity Nikki even let you access certain skills that you might not have been able to use normally. You can also use parts and outfits you unlock to participate in style battles, in which you pit your fashion sense against someone else's.
The game had generated interest even before it came out. In September 2024, Infold announced that almost 15 million people had pre-registered for the game. This news came after Infinity Nikki appeared at major gaming events such as PAX West 2024 and Gamescom.
Infinity Nikki is readily available on the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Players will have until December 31, 2024 to claim their free Resonite Crystals from their Infinity Nikki in-game inbox.

Apex Toys will open up pre-orders of a 1/7 scale figure of Nekomata from Zenless Zone Zero. Pre-orders will start from December 12 and end on December 26, 2024.
So far, the figure will be available via the Apex Innovation TMall online shop. Those who pre-order from this shop will be able to receive a free keychain. It looks like a CD case with Nekomata's picture inside. As for the price, the figure costs 849 CNY ($116.95), but during the initial sales period, it'll only cost 799 CNY ($110.05). The figure should come out in November 2025.
As for the figure itself, it depicts Nekomata striking a playful pose. She's got one hand curled like a paw near her face, while her other hand is holding one of her daggers. Her tails are making a heart shape, and she looks like she's in the middle of skipping. Like when you pull on the characters in the game, the stand of the figure resembles a film reel.
Apex Toys shared a prototype of this Nekomata figure back in July 2024. At this time, it also showed off figures of the other members of the Cunning Hares: Anby, Billy, and Nicole. As the Anby figure is available on AmiAmi, it's highly likely that AmiAmi will stock the Zenless Zone Zero Nekomata figure as well.

A 10th anniversary project for the Assassination Classroom anime series has been announced. The project will feature three major anniversary plans, the first one being the rebroadcast of the anime series, and a new key visual art has been revealed as well.
The first part of the 10th anniversary project is the aforementioned rebroadcast of the 47 anime episodes of the Assassination Classroom series. The anime will air again on Japanese television from April 2025. Part 2 and 3 of the 10th anniversary project haven't been revealed yet and more information will be detailed at a later date.

Additionally, the Koro-sensei Shrine will reappear from December 28, 2024 and people will be available to see it on the first floor of the Fuji Television building in Odaiba, Tokyo. The shrine was originally displayed at the Fuji Television Headquarters "Hachitama" Spherical Observation Room during the airing of the Assassination Classroom anime series.

Furthermore, the Japanese voice actor for Koro-sensei in Assassination Classroom, Jun Fukuyama, appeared during the anniversary project announcement. Fukuyama said that he's looking forward to seeing people's reaction to the rebroadcast of the anime series. For those unfamiliar, Jun Fukuyama is also known for his roles as Joker in the Persona 5 series, Roy in the Fire Emblem series, and Grell Sutcliff in the Black Butler anime adaptation.
The Assassination Classroom manga is published in North America by Viz, while the anime adaptation is available on Hulu and Crunchyroll.
