Cid Is Santa Claus in FFVII Ever Crisis This Christmas

Square Enix announced the first 2025 holiday banner for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis ahead of Christmas, and it turns Cid Highwind from the original FFVII into Santa Claus. This is the result of his new costume and weapon, with both pieces of equipment fitting the aesthetic. The banner is live until December 31, 2025. 

The two weapons on the new banner are the Antler Pike polearm for Cid and the Abraxas staff Ultimate Weapon for Aerith. Both the weapon and his Santa Claus Holidays Attire gear feature the C. Ability Ultra Holidays Spark. That is a lightning attack that hits a single enemy and reduces its physical defense while also increasing Cid's Command Gauge by 50%. The weapon's R. Abilities are Boost PATK and Boost Lightning Potency, while the costume's are Pilot's Long White Beard and Reprieve. Pilot's Long White Beard is a new skill, and its official description is notes it increases the duration of buff and debuff effects he inflicts by a minimum of +20%. If his attack stance Command Gauge is maxed out, his physical and magical ability damage will increase by at least 10%.

Square Enix hasn't announced a Christmas event for FFVII Ever Crisis just yet. There is a Winter Campaign over the holidays that gives people up to 50 Draw Tickets and as many as 14 Lottery Boxes - FFVII EC Winter style. Past years involved dedicated events, with the 2024 one featuring Yuffie Kisaragi in a reindeer outfit.

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is available for PCs and mobile devices, and the Santa Claus Cid Highwind banner is live until December 31, 2025.

Reze Joins Chainsaw Man Bunny Girl Figure Collection

The fifth member of the Chainsaw Man bunny girl figure collection will be Reze, as she appeared in the movie Reze Arc. She costs $264.99/￥33,000 and follows the rereleases of the Power and Makima ones. She'll show up first in Japan, as she has an August 2026 launch window there. The North American release window is Q1 2027.

The Reze figure is a static, 1/4 scale one. It will be just over 19 inches (485 mm) tall. In it, she wears a black swimsuit with matching high heels and bunny ears. Instead of a more traditional tie, she wears a black ribbon around her neck with the white collar that matches the white cuffs around her wrists. She also has fabric black fishnet tights on. As a nod to her appearance in the series, she also has her black choker on, with her right hand holding it.

There are five characters in this line of Chainsaw Man figures so far. Makima and Power showed up first. They were followed by Himeno and Kobeni. Reze is next. It's unknown if we could also eventually see Asa join it.

The Chainsaw Man Reze bunny girl figure is set to debut in Japan in August 2026 and North America in Q1 2027. Pre-orders are open until February 11, 2026. Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc is in theaters now, the anime is streaming on Crunchyroll, and the manga is handled by Viz Media.

How to get the free Mystery Games from Epic Games 2025

The process of redeeming the games is the same. However, every game on offer will be available for a limited period. Hogwarts Legacy was offered on Dec. 11 at 10am PT/12pm CT, and the next game since then has been Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel.

Hogwarts Legacy was available until 8am PT/10am CT on Dec. 18. From now on, all games released as part of the freebies will be available for a period of just 24 hours.

As long as a game is on offer, open its store page. You'll find that the purchase price is zero (instead of its listed price). Add it to your cart and confirm the order to proceed with adding the game to your account. Once done, you can then download the game from your library. As mentioned, all products that you add for free during the Holiday 2025 event will be permanently present in your library.

ARK Survival Ascended Lost Colony promo image

The Lost Colony DLC has added a host of new weapons and tools to ARK Survival Ascended, and you're going to need them for different reasons.

Despite suffering a delay before the DLC's launch, Lost Colony has finally arrived. It's headlined by new creatures that you'll find in the latest region. However, you'll also require the new tools and weapons to survive and thrive in the wild.

All weapons and armors in ARK Survival Ascended Lost Colony DLC

A new region brings its own fresh set of challenges. To survive, however, you'll be able to use a fresh set of new weapons and armor.

  • Arctic Armor: A light armor made of fur that will prevent a movement penalty when you're exploring cold areas. It also grants bonus stamina with a complete set.

  • Cursed Weapons/Armors: These are corrupted versions of Tek-tier/Fabricator gears that will allow you to equip two traits simultaneously. While you can't repair them normally, they will regenerate (or you can pay a blood tithe).

  • Barracks of the Damned: New cosmetic titles that are themed around Thralls.

  • Fabricated Crossbow: The new crossbow can use every type of bolt and arrow, and offers three different modes (Classic/Sniper/Shotgun). It has the potential to become one of the best weapons in the game.

  • Tek Spear: One of the best weapons in the game, you can blink-dash, teleport-strike, and even dish out non-lethal damage.

All tools in ARK Survival Ascended Lost Colony DLC

There are four new items to use that belong to the Lost Colony DLC.

  • Template Hammer and Clipboard: Use the tools to save/recreate your base designs.

  • Holo-Decoy: Generate a clone of yourself that can be used to lure creatures into traps (or use it to escape).

  • Plant Proto Species B: A new botanical creature that allows you to harvest different resources. However, doing so triggers an alarm to attract Revenants.

  • Medical Stand: Allows you to set up an auto-feeder narcotics system for nearby creatures, making it easier for you to tame them or give them stimulants.

The new DLC has also added plenty of new creatures that you can tame. Some of them are easier to handle, while a few can be pretty hard.
