Following the critically acclaimed The Witcher 3 is no easy feat. Coupling that with the expectations placed on one of this generations' most anticipated titles, Cyberpunk 2077 had an uphill struggle to face at best. CD PROJEKT RED looks to bring the open-world brilliance and awe of The Witcher 3 to a bigger, grander stand, complete with Cyberpunk aesthetics, cutting-edge shooting, and a cast of interesting characters and stories. Does it meet the lofty expectations held by many?
Frankly, no it does not.
Cyberpunk 2077 Review
Before we dive into the meat of the review, I want to make it perfectly clear that this review was written based entirely on my experience playing on the PlayStation 5. It's common for games to perform differently depending on platform but very rarely are the differences as huge as they are in Cyberpunk 2077. I've briefly played the game on the PlayStation 4, enough to know I didn't want to play it any further. The game is not playable on the PlayStation 4 Pro, and in my opinion should never have been sold in its current state. Playing on the PlayStation 5 is not without its woes, but there is a diamond in the rough – if you have the patience to stomach it.
Do not buy Cyberpunk 2077 on any other platform based on this review. Hell, if you have yet to buy the game, don't. Give it a few months to be finished.
The story begins as you create your very own version of V, the game's protagonist that takes on many forms depending on the choices you make throughout your adventures in Night City. After a brief but worthwhile character creation suite (where you can change your hair, genitals, gender, voice, and cyberpunk visuals), you choose your career path in life, your ideals and your goals. There are three choices to make: Street Kid, Corpo, and Nomad.
I stuck with Nomad for my main playthrough. The concept of unity and family coming first is one I admire, and despite V being a terrorist, a murderer, and a thief, I wanted to take the "good guy" approach. The career path you choose is quite an important part of the role you will play. The first couple of hours are unique based on the three different starting careers choices. Although some are far more exciting and in-depth than others, they all provide enough story and character to give the player the understanding of the backgrounds, goals, and desires of each version of V. While the impact of this choice does wane in many parts of the game, it does unlock unique dialogue options and relationship opportunities as you progress.
After finishing off my introduction to the Nomad style of life (a rather disappointingly bland introduction compared to the other two), I ventured off to Night City. This sprawling metropolis on the horizon is a city ruined by corporate greed and lawlessness, ran by the corrupt and suffered by the many. This initial moment, the first introduction to Night City, is arguably one of the best moments in the entire game.
CD PROJEKT RED has done an incredible job with the cyberpunk visuals and world building. There are pulsing neon lights lining the sides of the street, every person you encounter is modified, enhanced, and customized, and every vehicle is teeming with modifications and tech upgrades. Every region, every street, every back alley of Cyberpunk 2077 is a visual feast to explore – although sometimes that feast does look like it belongs in the PlayStation 3 era. From the darkened alleys filled with drug addicts and undesirables to the bustling markets where they trade everything from old CDs to black market entertainment, Cyberpunk 2077 is on its surface an absolute pleasure to experience. At least, at first.
Once you scratch beneath the surface, what appears to be a bustling cyberpunk world quickly becomes a very scripted and often awkwardly designed mess. For every fine detail, for every realistic animation, for each single effort a developer has made to immerse the player in this environment, there are a dozen issues undermining every single one. Characters floating off the floor, sitting on chairs that don't exist, standing around in a T pose, vehicles disappearing through the floor or soaring off into the sky. The game crashes regularly, missions are bugged, and progress is hindered. Cyberpunk 2077 is a buggy, unfinished, and quite frankly embarrassing mess.
However, it's impossible to deny that I absolutely love the game and have had so much fun in the 45 hours I've played. I would be the first to criticize a review that featured that last paragraph, alongside this same score. Even writing this now, it feels odd. When it works and flows as intended, Cyberpunk brings together the very best storytelling, the very best character design, and the very best creative direction I've seen in an open world game for such a long time. Yes, it's broken, it's buggy, it's a mess, and it's not for everyone in its current state. However, if you have the patience, it's still a dark, gritty, and rewarding venture into the seedy underworld of the Cyberpunk universe.
Cyberpunk 2077 struggles with the surface elements of the game, the top layer stuff that is usually the icing on the cake. Despite these obvious flaws that are apparent wherever you go, there are many features and systems that work so flawlessly, it also makes you forget you're playing such a mess of a game.
The combat is fantastic, blending together action-packed first-person shooting with a detailed and highly rewarding character customization and progression system – one that would be incredibly difficult to match in any non-cyberpunk setting. The shooting is fluid, fast, and impactful. You feel each bullet, each hit, and each drop of the bass with the great combat accompanying soundtrack. You can run into a room and wipe out a group of enemies with a cybernetically-implanted mini rocket launcher built into your wrists, or you can sit on a building across the way. Manipulating the technological instruments in and around the room to create diversions, force enemies to attack each other, or just remotely detonate one of their grenades.
Cyberpunk 2077 blends the freedom of approach from Assassin's Creed, with almost every mission having multiple angles of attack, with the futuristically-styled tech from the Watch Dogs games, allowing V to manipulate devices and control security cameras. It's this varying style of approach that keeps the game fresh from start to finish.
Although I spent much of my time doing a run-and-gun style approach to combat, there's a huge character progression system that, at first, felt a little flat and void of options. Looking through the six different attributes and the accompanying lengthy list of perks to unlock, a lot of it just felt like fluff. Made up of minor improvements and passive upgrades, nothing really caught my imagination. After a few hours exploring Night City, completing side jobs, and hunting down gang members, the system began to expand at a pace I was not expecting.
The jack-of-all-trades build is very much an option, but it's the least rewarding and least exciting by a long shot. My initial character design was a small blend of stealth and gunplay, but as I explored more areas of Night City and obtained more items to use and upgrade, I noticed the harmony between the character progression system, the cybernetic modifications, and the arsenal of guns and equipment you can find. Each fits into specific builds like a carefully constructed puzzle; it's difficult to see at first, but once you start sliding the pieces together, it really starts to shine.
Cyberpunk 2077 manages to deliver in an area so many games fail to capitalize on: rewarding the player. It sounds simple, but how many times have you spent ages clearing out an enemy camp in Assassin's Creed or Far Cry, only to leave with menial rewards that weren't worth the time? Every activity, every distraction in Cyberpunk 2077 felt rewarding. The item system is expansive, with a huge variety of different weapons, rarities, and crafting options. It's a lot of fun; I've completed the main story and a ton of the side content, and I still don't feel I've even scratched the surface of how strong my character could become.
The one area of Cyberpunk 2077 that remotely functions like a traditional AAA experience is the story. While it's not a technically flawless experience, it's definitely the strongest area in the game in terms of stability and quality. With the current state of the game and with so many people struggling to progress on other platforms, I won't go into the finer details, but it's brilliant.
V's journey is one that is very personal to the player. From the experiences they have to the friends they make to the enemies they rub out, the main narrative feels so alive, seamlessly branching out into optional content. One particular character Panam, another Nomad struggling to find her place in the world, is first introduced during the main story. As you progress, however, additional missions become available. As you explore V and Panam's relationship further, you learn of her struggling Nomad family and begin to build bonds with her and her allies. These stories are so emotionally driven and impactful, and yet they merely serve as optional content, stories the player could miss entirely.
This same narrative style breeds throughout the game, giving players the opportunity to dive into stories that could just as well serve as a main narrative in any other game. Though much of Cyberpunk 2077 is in need of serious help, the memorable characters and great voice acting make this one area truly excel.
Ignoring the plethora of obviously broken things that should never have seen the light of release, Cyberpunk 2077 does suffer with certain design choices. Inventory management is far too time consuming. Constantly having to navigate through a clunky and unresponsive UI system to dismantle weapons and items stops being fun after the first few hours, and quickly becomes a frustrating waste of time. It got to the point that I just stopped looting basic items.
Cyberpunk 2077's main story is well designed and fluid from start to finish, but if you take the time to stop and smell the holographic roses, it can often become quite overwhelming. New contacts are constantly contacting you by phone, unlocking job after job after job. While nearly all of the side content I've completed to this point has been great, the pace in which it is thrown at the player is a little too hasty.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a great game, but it could have been an incredible game that defined a generation. Instead, it falls victim to its own ambition and the industry's constant desire to push, push, push it out. In its current state, it's not for the faint of heart, and even hardcore Cyberpunk fans may struggle to stay interested amidst all the crashes and issues. If you have yet to pick it up, wait a few months and you could very well be treated to the experience we were all hoping for at launch.

Cyberpunk 2077 Where To Find Cyberpsycho Location Guide
You need to locate and takedown 17 Cyberpsycho's for the Pyscho Killer side job. This Cyberpunk 2077 Where To Find Cyberpsycho Location Guide will tell you the location of each of the Cyberpsycho's so you can hunt them down and take them out. It's important to note, for these missions, you usually have to neutralize the target, this means using blunt weapons or other non lethal options, killing the target is rarely the objective.
All of these Side Jobs work in a similar way. You have to locate specific icons on the map and then, when you are in close enough proximity to the event, you will get a call from the police officer informing you of a nearby Cyberpsycho. This then brings up the objective as a ! on the map, allowing you to complete it then or come back and deal with the problem later.
I didn't realize at first, I assumed these would all be labeled. By the time I realized they had to be located manually, I had already found three, so there may be a few missing from this list until I can track down the others. If you know of any I missed, please post a comment below.
Once you have finished the story all of the ! icons are displayed on the map. The Cyberpsycho's are most often located at the locations that read Side Job – Biz that won't make any major headlines.

How To Find All Tarot Graffiti In Cyberpunk 2077
In the Fool On The Hill quest, Misty asks you to learn where to find Tarot Graffiti. This guide on How To Find All Tarot Graffiti In Cyberpunk 2077 will tell you a very simple but effective trick to let you track down the locations of all 20 Tarot Graffiti's quickly and easily.
How To Find All Tarot Graffiti In Cyberpunk 2077
When you first accept the side job from Misty, the job titled Fool on the Hill, she will ask you to track down 20 unique Tarot Graffiti's spread around town. They are Cyberpunk twists on traditional tarot models seen in modern tarot cards. It's a very simple side job, albeit a long one, because she places all locations for all 20 Tarot Graffiti's on the map. However, there are a ton of icons on the map and it's very easy to lose specific ones in the shuffle.
Whether you have already gathered nearly all of the Tarot Graffiti or you're just starting out, there's a very quick and easy way to locate each one of them. Open your map and use the left or right on the d-pad to switch between the various filters available. You want to select the "Open World" filter. This displays all open world objectives on your map. That's still quite a lot of objective markers but it drastically reduces the clutter on the map so you can find the location of each Tarot Graffiti.
Once you have located the one you want to track down, be sure to switch back to the Fast Travel filter so you can find the nearest Fast Travel point and go straight there.

Cyberpunk 2077 Billy-Goat Or The Other Choice Guide
One choice you will run into during your Cyberpunk 2077 playthrough is what tattoo to pick. Check out this Cyberpunk 2077 Billy-Goat or The Other choice guide to figure out which one to pick. This way you don't stress over the options and have the facts.
Cyberpunk 2077 Billy-Goat Or The Other Choice Guide
So you have two options, both of which are similar but different art.
Billy-Goat
The Billy-Goat tattoo looks like this and you can see it while you fight if you have it equipped. It does, however, remove your hand slow on your cybernetics. This means any of you extra hand targeting or weapon handling mods will be removed. I advise going and getting it replaced as soon as possible.
The Other
Similar to the other one, this one takes up your hand slot on the cybernetics. You can see it in combat, but you are also giving up that slow. This can be a problem if you are using smart weapons and your hand is the targeting system for it. I would advise you get it removed as soon as possible.
After that there is another choice; right or left. This is a reference to The Matrix and taking the red pill or the blue pill. The right choice the the red pill (left) but it actually doesn't make any difference. Either way you are getting kicked out of the club for getting too rowdy. You will be waking up the next day a little rough as well, but Rogue will have a mission for you.

Dream On – Find The Transmission Source In Cyberpunk 2077
During the Dream On mission there are several confusing objectives. This Dream On – Find The Transmission Source In Cyberpunk 2077 guide will walk you through the final, more confusing moments of this side job, as you're investing a mysterious burglar and invaded the penthouse and fled without a trace.
This entire quest is a little frustrating. There's a very open objective "Examine the Apartment", that doesn't seem to complete even when you've found all the clues in the apartment. To start with you simply follow a blood trail that you find on the floor. This will lead you to a secret room that requires 7 body to break open. If you don't have that much attributes in body, you can simply go to the computer room and check the computer there. You'll find the code to the main security computer so you can open the door from there instead.
Dream On – Find The Transmission Source In Cyberpunk 2077
Once you've done the rest of the objectives for this quest, you will have two remaining. "Examine the Apartment" and "Find the Transmission Source". I got confused between the two here, thinking the transmission source was in the apartment, as that was the area of investigation highlighted on the map. However, that is incorrect.
Instead of searching the apartment, stand on the roof, directly next to the large satellite dish. Follow the way it's point, out into the city skyline. Make sure to use your optical vision. You will see a transmission tower in the distance, it glows gold if you have your optics turned on. Simply highlight the transmission tower until it is recognized as a clue and then you have completed this objective. Just talk to Elizabeth to progress with the quest.

Sweet Dreams – Where To Find Your Equipment In Cyberpunk 2077
The Sweet Dreams side job has an optional (yeah right) objective to retrieve all your equipment. This guide on Sweet Dreams – Where To Find Your Equipment In Cyberpunk 2077 will provide some basic tips and tricks to complete the mission, as well as details on where you can find your gear.
This mission is a pain because you lose all of your equipment. When you wake, there is a single enemy in the adjacent room. Sneak up behind him and take him down. There are two additional enemies outside on the balcony, ignore them. There's nothing outside. Then, slowly enter each of the next rooms. The enemies are normally facing their backs to you, so taking them down quietly is easy enough. Once you reach the main room with the three static guards, that's where your equipment is.
Sweet Dreams – Where To Find Your Equipment In Cyberpunk 2077
There is a locker where I am aiming above. There's a row of lockers, it's the one on the left. You could simply rush to the locker and try to grab your equipment in time, that may be the easiest and fastest strategy for completing the mission. However, I didn't find the gear until I had already killed everyone. If the rushing tactic doesn't work, there's another way.
In the same room there is a female NPC that goes into the kitchen next door. Take her down. She drops an SMG. Go to the subsequent rooms, heading to the apartments exit, taking down each enemy as they come, still using stealth. When you leave the apartment, there's an enemy doing some graffiti on the wall. Stealth kill him and then there's one enemy left at the end of the hall.
Because the game is a bit buggy, I was unable to grab this final enemy. Use your SMG to take him down. He drops a far stronger SMG, strong enough to kill the rest of the guards. Then, simply mow them down before returning to the locker to get your gear.
This mission is very buggy. If you the objective to reclaim your gear is not the highlighted objective, it doesn't complete and won't show you where to find the next target. You also don't get your money back on some platforms.

Night City is filled with many wonders and characters. This Cyberpunk 2077 Romance Guide will provide you with some information on how you can romance various different partners as you progress through the game. We say romance, but we use that term very lightly. For the most part, it's more about a heated encounter with an individual, over ongoing, lengthy romances. Maybe that's for the best.
There are many different choices and consequences in Cyberpunk 2077. As such, it can be very difficult to provide information on exactly the right path to choose in order to romance a specific character. Choices for that character matter, choices for related characters, other events, etc. Typically, if you're hoping to romance someone, you want to follow some cardinal rules. Be nice. Don't kill them or get them killed, and don't snitch on them or otherwise betray their trust. Follow these basic rules and the tips we provide below, and you should be on your way to romancing the folk of Night City all night long.
Cyberpunk 2077 Romance Guide
How To Romance Meredith Stout
After you help Meredith in the story. I chose not to take the credit chip from her but that may not play a role. Some time after you help her, she will send you a text message thanking you for your help. If you respond with, "I was starting to like you", she will invite you to a motel. Arrive at the motel and you can romance Meredith Stout there.
How To Romance Panam
This one actually feels somewhat romantic. You meet Panam in the main story and once you've completed that series of jobs, she will contact you via your phone to offer side jobs. During each of the side jobs there's conversation choices, ones you can't miss, that allow you to flirt with her, tell her you like her, touch her leg, etc. Eventually, one of her last missions, Queen of the Highway, provides an opportunity to get to know her better. When you are riding the tank with her, you will have the option to progress the relationship further.
How To Romance Rogue
Not entirely V's romance but he's very involved nonetheless. After you've helped Rogue in the main story, and towards the end of the story, Johnny will ask you to give him one night where he's under control – so he can hunt down smasher. Complete that side mission and then another will pop up via a phone call with Rogue. You and her try to track down Smasher. During that mission you also get Johnny's gun and vehicle to use. After that mission, you get another, Blistering Love. This is the mission where the romance opportunity appears with Rogue.
How To Romance River
During your time in Night City a husband and wife will reach out to you. The wife will ask you to meet, to discuss a case. They ask you to track down who killed the mayor. During this investigation you meet River, he's a copy with the police department. Complete his mission chain and at the very end, when you're both sitting atop the Water Tower, you have the opportunity to kiss him.
How To Romance Judy
I'm not 100% on this one as Judy makes it clear you're not her type if you are playing a male, but the option may arise if you're playing a female character. Complete her mission chain. Towards the end she'll take you diving and tell you about her past. At the end she asks you to move in but then says she's leaving the city.
How To Romance Kerry
Kerry is one of Johnny Silverhand's friends from his Samurai days. You're introduced to each other during one of Johnny's side jobs. Follow Kerry's mission chain and at the very end, after he announces that he's working with the girl band, you'll have a chance to get closer to him on the balcony.

How To Get Johnny Silverhand's Gun & Car In Cyberpunk 2077
Silverhand has a fantastic gun and a Porsche 911. This guide on How To Get Johnny Silverhand's Gun & Car In Cyberpunk 2077 will tell you everything you need to know to unlock Johnny's legendary iconic pistol and one of the best looking cards in the game, the Porsche 911.
During flashback like scenes you will often get to control Johnny Silverhand. During these sequences you get to use his gun and melee attack. The melee attack, a small explosive-like fist hit, is devastating, but the gun, that's another beast altogether. Thankfully, towards the latter stages of the game, you can unlock both Johnny's gun and his car to use permanently with V whenever you wish.
How To Get Johnny Silverhand's Gun & Car In Cyberpunk 2077
Johnny's Malorian Arms 3516 pistol is both Legendary and Iconic, with 4 mod slots that you can use. This makes it one of the most powerful pistols in the game, and it looks pretty impressive too. Towards the latter stages of the main story, after you have met Rogue and helped her on the main quests, you will have lots of side quests pop up. You'll get calls from various characters as you increase in level, unlock new regions, and improve your Street Cred.
Eventually, during the story, Johnny will ask you if he can take control for one night – so he can search down some details on the man that murdered him. You must agree to this. It's part of the story, you can't miss it. After that event takes place you will watch Johnny party for the night, and party hard. At the end of that mission you get Johnny's Samurai Jacket.
Once that mission is completed, Rogue will call you again and ask you to help her track down details on Smashers whereabouts. Towards the end of that mission, during cut-scene dialog, you have the chance of shooting Grayson or keeping him alive, he's the one with Johnny's gun. Keep him alive, get the keycard, and then open the crate to grab Johnny's Porsche 911.

Want to rock the awesomely cool Samurai Jacket? This guide on Where To Get The Samurai Jacket In Cyberpunk 2077 will tell you how to unlock the jacket, as it's going to take quite some time before you progress in the game far enough to unlock this special item of clothing.
The world of Cyberpunk 2077 is filled with awesome items you can find and equip. There's a huge selection of clothing suits, hats, helmets, face masks, pants, tons to choose from. One such item, a Samurai Jacket, paying homage to Johnny Silverhands old glory days, is one of the most sought after items in the game, but how do you go about obtaining this valuable jacket.
Where To Get The Samurai Jacket In Cyberpunk 2077
I don't want to spoil any parts of the story so I'm going to explain this the best I can, without doing that. During the story you will meet Rogue. You can't miss her, she's an integral part of the story. Later, still following the main story, V has a serious issue with the chip in his head and collapses. Johnny takes V to a seedy motel and then asks V if Johnny can take control for a little while, to finish some unfinished business.
This opens up a side job that you need to do. It's an easy one, you just have to let Johnny live in your shoes for a few hours. After a rather crazy night out, you will wake up to see Rogue in your motel room. She explains a few things and says she will be in touch. After a few in-game days you will get a message from Rogue offering you another side job, Chippin In.
Follow the objectives for this quest to get your own Samurai Jacket. Keep following this storyline as you can also unlock Johnny Silverhands Car and Gun.

This update will bring with it three new radio stations, along with brand new mixes on FlyLo FM and Worldwide FM. In all there will be more than 250 new tracks added to the game – the biggest musical update yet.
Still Slipping Los Santos is a pirate radio station by the UK DJ Joy Orbison, playing a seamless mix of house, techno, drill and drum-and-bass. Broadcast out of Mirror Park, players will be able to take advantage of a number of opportunities to support your local disc-jockey on December 15.
Hosted by Julian Casablancas of The Strokes and The Voidz, audiophiles will be able to drown in the sounds of Kult FM. Featuring appearances from Mac DeMarco, David Cross and Tony Mac, the station will play hits from legends Joy Division, New Order, A Certain Ratio, Danzig, the Velvet Underground, and Iggy Pop. The station will also pay host to the world exclusive premiere of The Voidz' "Alien Crime Lord."
The Music Locker will also debut its own radio station later in December, bringing the house, disco, and techno sounds of the Los Santos club to the masses. Included are mixes from Keinemusik and Palms Trax and Moodymann.
Grammy nominated producer Flying Lotus will also make his return with an all-new mix added to rotation on FlyLo FM. Guest appearances from Tierra Whack and new tracks from Madlib, FlyLo himself, MF DOOM, and a number of surprises are queued up.
Globally renowned DJ Gilles Peterson will also return to add a new mix of New London Jazz, disco and world music for Worldwide FM. Tracks include Kamasi Washington, Khruangbin, BADBADNOTGOOD and MF DOOM.
Finally, FlyLo and Worldwide FM will play all-new mixes and tracks only for a period after launch. The classics will eventually be mixed back in over time.
The update will come out on December 15, alongside The Cayo Perico Heist.
