I'm not surprised that Fortnite crypto exists. Whether it's Nintendo or Minecraft NFTs, crypto scammers love to make environment-destroying projects out of other people's IPs. What's surprising is that Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney bothered to give the Fortnite Tokens project his time of day. "This is a scam," he tweeted

It should come as no surprise at this point that Kotaku is a pro-One Piece website on account of the manga being a crazy good read for nearly 25 years and by virtue of it being the only series to have Nico Robin in it.      ESO High Isle expansion adds a touch of Tolkien to Tamriel

The Elder Scrolls Online High Isle expansion is live now, bringing with it new lands, friends, and a citadel invasion that wouldn't look out of place in J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. Or perhaps we're just a bit starry-eyed for the land of the hobbits at the moment, seeing as Billy Boyd, who portrayed Pippin Took in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings film adaptations, voices one of High Isle's major new characters.

The High Isle expansion is a first for the MMO game, adding a brand-new location designed specifically for Bethesda's online game. It takes place throughout the Systres Archipelago, an island chain replete with contrasts and intrigue. The Breton's towering fortresses and sprawling towns on High Isle exist alongside volcanoes, majestic cliffs, and even jungles, but the dangers of the natural world are the least of your worries.

The latest expansion picks up the tale of the Bretons begun in March and follows a brand-new storyline of intrigue and conspiracy. This time, your foe is the mysterious Ascendant Lord, an enigmatic figure bent on plunging the world into never-ending war. As usual with ESO's expansions, the full story unfolds over the course of the next year, with several new trials and world events to keep you busy in the meantime.

The best Diablo Immortal Demon Hunter build for PvP and PvE

When it comes to making the best Diablo Immortal Demon Hunter build, there are several important factors to consider. The Demon Hunter is an attractive Diablo Immortal class as it's capable of dealing huge amounts of damage, earning a high rank on our Diablo Immortal tier list. A Demon Hunter's main objective is to deal as much damage as possible while herding large groups of enemies with its crowd control effects.

Taking advantage of late-game item drops, Diablo Immortal gems, and several powerful skills is key to making the best Diablo Immortal Demon Hunter build. We've gone for a mix of AoE focused attacks that inflict slowdown effects on foes, alongside a set of gear that greatly enhances the Demon Hunter's ultimate ability.

It's going to take a while to get everything you need to make this build, as one of the skills requires a level 50 character, and there's plenty of legendary gear to collect. Once you have everything, though, you'll be a nigh-on unstoppable monster in both PvE and PvP. This Demon Hunter build works best when playing with friends, but can do reasonably well if you're playing this RPG game independently.

E3 threatens to return in 2023

While it unfortunately ended up being cancelled for 2022 with the Summer Game Fest mostly taking its place, E3 2023 is apparently a go. The Entertainment Software Association, which organises the event, states that E3 is "coming back in 2023 with both a digital and an in-person event" just like in days of yore.

While E3 2021 was relegated to an online-only event, E3 2020 was called off entirely - and, eventually, so was E3 2022. Summer Game Fest, the Xbox Showcase, and various other publisher showings are still going on, but the actual E3 event itself is dead this year.

The ESA previously suggested it had plans to bring E3 back in 2023 and now, in an interview with The Washington Post, the organising body's president and CEO Stan Pierre-Louis said that the ESA was "excited" to return in June 2023. "As much as we love these digital events," Pierre-Louis states, "and as much as they reach people and we want that global reach, we also know that there's a really strong desire for people to convene — to be able to connect in person and see each other and talk about what makes games great."

     How to install an SSD

Even the best gaming PC will slow to a crawl eventually, whether your system has simply been standing the test of time or you've been stuck on an old hard drive. Fortunately, you can escape the sluggish confines of a hard drive pretty easily if you know how to install an SSD.

SSDs are becoming increasingly affordable and progressing towards a price parity with their disk-based counterparts. Even so, hard drives still hold the crown for best value per GB, especially for PC users with slower internet speeds that don't have the luxury of regularly uninstalling. Those that can justify the premium of an SSD, however, will see that the newer technology provides an astronomical leap in performance, loading apps, games, and Windows significantly faster. Upgrading your RAM capacity with a set of the best gaming RAM can drastically improve OS performance, too.

This might sound tempting, but things aren't as quite as simple as buying the best SSD for gaming available and plugging it in. There are compatibility issues that you need to watch out for and hurdles to navigate when it comes to swapping out your main system drive. But with your trusty screwdriver in hand, we'll walk you through everything you need to know about SSD installation.

     Diablo Immortal Gems guide

Looking for a comprehensive guide to getting, socketing, and upgrading Diablo Immortal Gems? As in previous Diablo games, gems are absolutely indispensable when it comes to maximising your character's potential and boosting your gear score. Each one grants a passive attribute buff, giving you that much-needed edge to keep fighting through the horrors of Sanctuary just that little bit longer.

While you might be tempted to hold off farming for normal Gems in favour of those coveted Legendary Gems, these are relatively difficult to come by in Diablo Immortal without opening your wallet first, so you might end up waiting for a few hundred hours. The initial benefits of standard Gems might seem negligible at first, but taking the time to upgrade them will make those Elder Rift runs far more manageable.

In this guide, we'll outline the benefits of each Gem type, plus how to find, socket, and upgrade them. Exactly how valuable each Gem is depends heavily on the Diablo Immortal builds you're constructing, so keep your character's base strengths and weaknesses in mind as you decide what Gems will be best for you.

Asus celebrates GPU Tweak III launch with RTX 3090 Ti giveaway

Asus has unveiled GPU Tweak III, and it's giving away various gaming PC parts to celebrate the launch of its new monitoring software. Available to download now, the company says its revamped toolkit uses "years of enthusiast feedback and developer dedication" to provide a "feature-rich" experience, which could help you boost fps while managing rig temperature and fan noise.

Announced via Twitter, the Asus GPU Tweak III launch gives gaming PC enthusiasts a chance to get their hands on a graphics card and power supply bundle. Lucky first place winners will be able to snag a ROG Strix LC GeForce RTX 3090 Ti GPU paired with a monstrous 1,000W power supply. Runners up can also still win an Nvidia RTX graphics card, so it's worth checking out if your rig is in need of a revamp.

Even if you'd rather wait for RTX 4000 cards to arrive, it might still be worth entering Asus' competition for a PSU alone. Upcoming GPUs like the RTX 4090 supposedly demand 600W, so you're going to need the best power supply around if you want to make the jump to next gen.

Arma Reforger patch fixes flying trucks and spawn camping

A minor update is out today for Arma Reforger, the new Early Access title that's serving as the buildup to the eventual launch of Arma 4. In the latest Arma Reforger update, Bohemia Interactive has addressed some of the stranger bugs that have popped up since the military simulation game's Early Access launched, such as one that would result in vehicles floating serenely over the landscape like truck-shaped helicopters.

Arma Reforger Version 0.9.5.66 adds spawned player protection, which means you shouldn't get taken out by a sniper as soon as you spawn into a session anymore. Players had also found that certain guns were acting as impenetrable body armour - they would simply deflect incoming fire, giving players who used them a considerable advantage in a firefight. That's been corrected with this patch, too.

While researching the Arma Reforger hands-on impressions story for our sister site the Wargamer, I spotted a truck flying high above the ground as my team was capturing a base. It turns out, this was a persistent issue and it would happen when a player driving a vehicle had their game session suddenly terminate. That would put the vehicle in an "undefined state," and presumably just set it on a vector that could lead it out over the horizon. That's been fixed with this patch, too.

Best Valorant settings for fps and lower system latency

Applying the best Valorant settings for fps can significantly improve your chances to successfully make those game changing plays, and climb up the game's ranks. However, reducing your gaming PC's system latency is just as important as having a higher frame rate, and we're here to help you do both.

There's more nuance to the best Valorant settings than simply whacking the game's various graphics options as low as possible and calling it day. In fact, doing just that may inhibit your ability to read the game's environments thanks to murky textures and distractingly blurred edges.

With that in mind, we've put together the best Valorant settings that prioritise frames per second without sacrificing the look of the game's visuals too much. Unfortunately, neither AMD FSR, Nvidia DLSS, or Intel XeSS make an appearance in the options menu, but Nvidia Reflex is available and can lower your system latency if you're running an Nvidia GeForce GTX 900 series graphics card or newer.

It looks like a Fortnite first-person mode is coming

For the first time in the history of Epic's battle royale game, it looks like an official Fortnite first-person mode is in development. This is according to popular leaker HypeX, who suggests that a Fortnite first-person camera option is "still in early development" but it seems like it's being worked on.

While there have been Fortnite glitches in the multiplayer game before that have allowed players to explore the island with a first-person camera - suggesting that the option is available - the only officially implemented option to turn Fortnite into an FPS game is through aiming with the MK-Seven assault rifle.

That gun was vaulted this season anyway, but it may no longer matter, as popular leaker HypeX suggests that a first-person camera option is coming to Fortnite at some point. According to their latest tweet (below), this season Epic "began working on some stuff about a first-person camera mode." Unfortunately, there's not much more to go on right now, as it seems to be in really early development.

Battlefield 2042 Season 1 starts this week

Battlefield 2042 has had what can charitably be called a tough launch, but eight months later it's ready to turn the corner. Battlefield 2042 Season 1 starts June 9, and with it comes the multiplayer game's first battle pass, which adds a new specialist, new weapons and vehicles, and an awe-inspiring new map set in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

Battlefield 2042 Season One is called Zero Hour, and its 100-tier battle pass provides the backbone for the new content it introduces to the game. Like other battle passes, there are free and premium tracks, and EA/DICE says that everything that impacts gameplay can be earned on the free track. The premium track includes cosmetics and in-game currency that can be used in the Battlefield shop. The takeaway is that you won't need to spend another dime in order to unlock the new gameplay content coming to Battlefield 2042 this season.

The trailer is a good showcase of the scenic new map, Exposure. Set high in the mountains, the map features wide open fields that fall away in sheer cliffs and rock slides into a ravine below that's opened up due to a major earthquake. It's extremely vertical, with plenty of space for air combat and wingsuiting. For players who prefer close quarters combat, there's a secret military facility carved into the mountain that features tunnels, server rooms, and bunker emplacements ripe for intense brawls. Exposure supports 64 players in Breakthrough and 128 players in Conquest mode.

Genshin Impact events – all current and upcoming events

Want to know more about the upcoming Genshin Impact events? A new version of Genshin Impact arrives every six weeks, complete with new characters, quests, and events. It's difficult to keep track of which events are currently running and if there are any new ones coming soon, so here's a schedule for all current and upcoming Genshin Impact events.

There are usually a number of Genshin Impact events running simultaneously, and they aren't just in-game events. When a new Genshin Impact character joins the game, the devs launch a web event at the same time - players learn about the latest characters through an interactive story told through a web browser. The rewards for completing different events range from in-game items like primogems and mora, to real life prizes like mouse mats and plushies.

Just like the Genshin Impact banners, most events are only available for a limited time, so it's worth participating as soon as you can. New events are usually added to Genshin Impact after an update, but it's worth keeping an eye out on this page as the devs do like to surprise the community.

Stray system requirements – your gaming PC will purr

Stray system requirements won't block you from exploring futuristic alleyways as an adorable cat, but might want to double-check your rig before diving in. Thankfully, while the game's neon-lit cityscapes look remarkable, you won't need an Nvidia RTX graphics card to get your claws into this cyberpunk adventure.

According to BlueTwelve Studio's Stray system requirements, you can run the game on an Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti – a GPU that's almost a decade old. Naturally, you're going to need something a little newer to play with higher settings enabled, but the developer recommends a GTX 780, so you still won't need to splash out on the best graphics card.

In terms of RAM, you're going to need a gaming PC with at least 8GB to run around as a cat. While the game's memory requirements aren't unreasonable, you might need to revamp your rig if it's a slightly older build. You'll also only need 10GB of space to install Stray, which means you won't necessarily need the best SSD for gaming.

GTA San Andreas speedrun world record beaten by almost an hour

While we all wait around for GTA 6, one Twitch streamer passes the time by getting 100% in Rockstar's open-world crime sim San Andreas in less than 12 hours.

GTA: San Andreas is enormous. Even compared to GTA Online, which after nearly ten years is still receiving updates and add-ons, Rockstar's original jaunt to Los Santos is sprawling and vast, with hidden missions, secret jumps and myriad collectibles like horseshoes and graffiti tags. Nevertheless, one Twitch streamer, a Danish GTA expert named Crucial1357, has managed to beat the entire game, all the way to 100% completion, in a new-record time of 11 hours, 25 minutes and 21 seconds, smashing the previous official record (12 hours and eight minutes, as listed on Speedrun.com) by almost a full hour and topping his own personal best time of 11 hours, 40 minutes.

Putting that into perspective, obtaining 100% in GTA: San Andreas requires that you complete all the story missions; all the asset missions like the quarry, the courier service and those awful ones with the remote-controlled planes; win all the street races; pass all the vehicle schools and challenges; reach the top level in all the emergency services missions; deliver all the cars to the export dock; get the highest scores at the gun ranges; buy all the houses, all the hotel suites; learn every move in the gym; take 50 photos, find 50 oysters, collect 100 horseshoes, spray 100 graffiti tags; and, perhaps most challenging of all, find and maintain a loving relationship.

Fortnite is getting an original Spider-Man Marvel skin

The latest collab between Epic's battle royale game and Marvel Comics is a completely unique and original Fortnite Spider-Man skin. The new Fortnite Marvel skin, Spider-Man Zero, is available as part of a new comic series that kicks off on June 8.

Fortnite has had a really close connection with Marvel over the last few seasons, including the recent Scarlet Witch skin for the Doctor Strange 2 movie and the Chapter 3 Season 2 battle pass going heavy on the Marvel skins and items. There have been a number of Spider-Man skins already, too, including one in the Season 1 battle pass and a tie-in with the No Way Home movie.

It was previously reported that the Fortnite/Marvel comic book series Zero War - which kicks off June 8 - would include two new Marvel skins as codes with certain issues, including the imminent first one. This has now been decrypted by Fortnite dataminers as Spider-Man Zero, Fortnite's first completely unique Marvel outfit.

Hearts of Iron 4 By Blood Alone DLC hits the Italian front

Prepare to head to the front once more, as Paradox confirms the latest expansion for its popular strategy game is Hearts of Iron IV: By Blood Alone. The new HOI4 expansion focuses on rewriting history for Italy, Ethiopia, and Switzerland, and will even allow players to design their own airplanes.

While we're probably still a long way off from Hearts of Iron V, the previous game remains one of the best grand strategy games on PC and Paradox has just announced the latest expansion for release sometime in 2022 - the next major expansion for Hearts of Iron IV after November's No Step Back.

Hearts of Iron IV: By Blood Alone will include new focus trees for Italy, Ethiopia, and Switzerland, with - as the teaser trailer below suggests - the Italian side seemingly being the major one. Players can follow the real-world path of Mussolini's Axis power or take Italy down an alternate historical route, such as restoring the monarchy, promoting democracy, or even having a Communist revolution.

You can now watch Shrek in Stardew Valley

The movies in Stardew Valley are nice, cute, well-made – but let's face it, they're not Shrek. I mean, when you've gone to all that effort – completing the community upgrades, finding the Missing Bundle, dropping a cool 1000G on a ticket – you want to see something good. In fact, you want something… Shrektacular.

Well now, thanks to a new mod by presumptive genius Cofee0001, whenever you go to the Stardew Valley movie theatre there is a cast-iron, bright green guarantee of quality, as it will be showing the original (and best) Shrek film.

It's not the full movie in its entirety – that would be illegal or, if you prefer, "disreshrekful". But this lovingly curated slideshow of low-res PNGs, projected high and wide on the back of the Joja Warehouse, still has the capacity to shock, terrify and delight just like its feature-length namesake. We won't spoil it for you, but Shrek in Stardew Valley contains something of a twist. It's Shrek as you've seen him before, and then Shrek as you'll probably never be able to unsee him again.

Elden Ring mod overhauls magic, armour, and the Mountaintops

A new Elden Ring mod aims to adjust the entire RPG game's difficulty to make things hard, but fair - that's literally its name. The 'Hard but Fair' mod aims to make Elden Ring armour sets more useful and rebalances magic, poise, and the entire Mountaintops of the Giants area.

Elden Ring is one of the best open-world games on PC and is undoubtedly a game of the year contender, but while it's meant to be a difficult game - it is a Souls-like game, after all - some fans believe that it's outright unfair in some areas, or at least a little unbalanced.

This new mod by KeKeffect on Nexus Mods aims to overhaul Elden Ring with changes designed to keep things difficult but, well, make them fairer. The armour change is the only optional change in the mod, but KeKeffect states that the goal is to make armour "actually useful instead of just being glorified tissue paper" with a whole range of buffs to areas such as absorption and resistance across all sets.

How to ride animals in Fortnite

Want to know how to ride the animals in Fortnite? While the battle royale game has changed a lot since their introduction, these critters survived the island flipping upside-down. There have been some minor changes to how animals behave in Fortnite in the newest season, most notably for the wolves and boar.

Currently, there are five known Fortnite animals that have been seen roaming the Fortnite map, many of which are in mountainous regions or by rivers. While both the frogs, crows, and chickens are the same harmless and adorable beasts from previous seasons, Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 grants you the ability to ride tamed wolves and boars for the first time.

We do recommend that you rebind your controls so you can charge and dismount. You can find these key bindings in the options menu under the rideable control settings. While you can heal animals either by feeding them with thrown food or using a Chug Splash, you can't replenish stamina, so make sure you don't get caught out if your animal gets too tired.

Intel Arc Alchemist A730M GPU struggles to keep up with RTX 3060

The Intel Arc Alchemist A730M is set to be a high-end gaming laptop GPU, but benchmarks place it in the same ring as the Nvidia RTX 3050. While the mobile chip was able to surpass the green team's baseline graphics performance, it seemingly fails to outpace the RTX 3060 during testing.

According to benchmarks shared by Weibo user Golden Pig Upgrade, the Intel Arc Alchemist A730M only just beats the RTX 3050 in the likes of F1 2020. The blue team's chip can churn out 123fps at 1080p – a mere three frames more than Nvidia's card at the same resolution. As you'd perhaps expect, this narrow victory means the GPU can't match RTX 3060 levels of performance, resulting in a 10fps gap in Metro Exodus (via Videocardz)

It's worth noting that while the leaked benchmarks specify settings and resolution, it's unclear whether Intel DTT (Dynamic Tuning Technology) is switched on. Ultimately, this could hamper the A730M's performance, but the high-end GPU's struggle against existing low tier contenders is still a bad sign.

Minecraft mob list and all new mobs and monsters

Minecraft mobs are the living entities in Minecraft - short for mobile, these sometimes adorable, sometimes you can find aggressive creatures roaming the many biomes of the blocky universe. They will interact and respond to you, other players, and other mobs, whether that's a creeper knocking at your door, or a pig in the pen in your back garden.

Minecraft mobs are susceptible to the same physics and environmental changes that affect players, such as catching fire or drowning. They can be attacked and killed with weapons, and when killed drop resources and experience points, with hostile mobs dropping rarer items on occasion.

In Creative mode, Minecraft mobs will never attack you, but can be divided into three behavioural categories in Survival and Hardcore modes, which include passive, neutral, and hostile. Utility mobs such as the iron golem and snow golem, can be crafted to assist you against hostile mobs. Trusting mobs can't be tamed, but have a special behaviour when interacted with and include dolphins, ocelot, and even the adorable Minecraft fox. Here's a list of all the mobs and monsters that can be found wandering the vast Minecraft landscape.

The Radeon RX 6700 XT is one of the best value options from AMD's Big Navi family of Radeon 6000 graphics cards, and now you can pick up a PowerColor Fighter 12GB model at its UK RRP - just £420. We've seen price drops on the higher-end models recently, as next-gen GPU rumours have begun to build steam, but this is the first time I've seen a great mid-range option receive the same treatment so I thought it was worth writing about!

There have been more auspicious PC game launches than that of Diablo Immortal. Originally revealed to a booing crowd as a mobile-only, MMO-styled take on the APRG series, its later-announced Windows release has revealed the full extent of a F2P monetisation system that ties immensely powerful Legendary Gem upgrades to costly loot boxes. Not a great look, especially coming from a company facing multiple lawsuits, staff walkouts and sexual harassment allegations.

Strictly speaking, the PC version of Diablo Immortal is in open beta, with only the mobile version launching as the finished article. The good news is that this leaves more room for the technical issues and oversights I've encountered to be fixed; the bad news is that they exist in the first place, and range from absent PC settings staples to repeating performance hiccups.

Most video games about cards are deck-building strategy games. Digitised Magic The Gathering-likes. Card Shark is a card game about playing cards, and, more specifically, about cheating at playing cards. When I previewed it I said that it turned out I was quite good at cheating, but now I have played the full build I can report that I'm bad at that, too. The worst I can say about Card Shark is that it doesn't make failure fun.

The Ni No Kuni series has always been beautiful. With its Studio Ghibli-esque styling, imaginative character designs and amazing music made by the legend that is Joe Hisaishi, its world is a true joy to immerse yourself in. It's why I'm ultimately so disappointed by Cross Worlds. Netmarble has taken this pure, effervescent fantasy dream land and pushed it off the monkeybars into a steaming pile of gacha mechanics and crypto currencies.

To be fair, it's not all bad. Some of it is great even, but I've jumped between loving and hating so many different bits over my last week with the PC beta that ultimately I'm just sad. There's a wonderful glimpse of something amazing that just never materialises as the mirk of mobile-based gameplay is just too thick to get through.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Aionios Trailer Shows Off Its World and Monsters

There's a new Xenoblade Chronicles 3 trailer specifically focusing on the world of Aionios and the monsters that inhabit it. It shows the more open areas of the game players will explore. There are also moments when it seems like places from the past games appear here. Also, it looks like a version of the Xenoblade Chronicles Unique Monster Territorial Rotbart even appears.

Here's the full Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Aionios trailer. Things immediately begin with an obscured look at the Fallen Arm. This location appeared in the first game. Different locations and environments show up after that. Around the 36 second mark, we see a monster that looks a little like Territorial Rotbart.

This is one of two bits of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 information Nintendo shared on June 7, 2022. The company also announced that a limited edition version would appear in the United States. It will sell a special edition, one previously announced for Europe, that includes the game, a SteelBook case, and an art book. That will only be available through the My Nintendo Store.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will come to the Nintendo Switch on July 29, 2022.

Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker Madara Uchiha DLC Trailer Appears

People can get a better look at the Madara Uchiha (Six Paths) DLC heading to Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker. Bandai Namco released a new trailer for the game's Season Pass 5. About half of the teaser is dedicated to showing how this version of Madara will behave in-game. This comes after the company shared a few screenshots showing off his appearance. The video also notes the new season pass will appear on June 10, 2022.

The segment looking at the Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker Madara Uchiha (Six Paths) DLC begins at the 33 second mark. First, there's a splash image showing the character's portrait. After that, it looks at some of his attacks. It begins with Sage Art: Shadow Style: Thunder Blast. After that is Limbo: Border Jail. That's followed by the Secret Technique Infinite Tsukuyomi.

There will be four other characters in Season Pass 5 in addition to Madara. While there were some silhouettes shown in an initial announcement, their identities weren't revealed.

Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and Season Pass 5 will kick off with the Madara Uchiha (Six Paths) character on June 10, 2022. The PS4 version is a part of the June 2022 PlayStation Plus lineup.

Street Fighter 6 Game Face Lets People Set a Tone Before a Match

Capcom revealed Street Fighter 6 will have a Game Face feature. This is a concept that lets people set a "tone" for a match before it starts. During the introduction, people will see the character's faces before they begin. By pressing the directional buttons, you can show different emotions.

Here's the video showing how Game Face will work in Street Fighter 6. It essentially shows a whole introduction to a fight. Luke and Ryu are going to face off against each other, and we see them walk to the stage together. Once the versus screen comes up, people see their faces. Someone can then press buttons to change their expressions. After that, we see Luke and Ryu's introduction at the stage proper.

We also already have an idea of who will be present to make these "game faces" in Street Fighter 6 at launch. A leak showed 22 characters who will be in the roster. Capcom later acknowledged that. At the same time, it mentioned the game will use RE Engine.

Street Fighter 6 will come to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2023.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Special Edition Announced

The Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Special Edition will appear in North America. Nintendo just announced it will sell the bundle in the region. Pre-orders will begin on June 8, 2022. It didn't reveal a price yet. It will only be sold in the My Nintendo Store. There will be a limit on how many people can buy. Each person can only get two.

We already had an idea this collector's edition could be on the way. That's because it already was announced for Europe back in May 2022. The one that will appear in the US is identical to it.

In each case, the contents are identical. The Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Special Edition of course comes with a copy of the game. People also get a SteelBook case with its characters on it. The art for it is identical to the design on the oversized box holding everything. The final item is a softcover art book.

In the case of the European version, people will need to wait for some of the items. Folks will get the physical copy of the game right away. The SteelBook case and art book will ship later in Fall 2022.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will come to the Nintendo Switch on July 29, 2022.

See Baoh in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R Trailer Debuts

The latest JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R character trailer is here, and this time it isn't even a person from the series. Rather it is the hero from Baoh: The Visitor, another Hirohiko Araki series. Now people can see how Ikuro "Baoh" Hashizawa looks in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R again.

Baoh appeared in both JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle and the R remaster. He's the only "guest" character in the game. In his original series, Hashizawa was kidnapped and turned into Baoh. The trailer shows some of his more notable abilities. For example, you can see him use his electrical attacks.

In case you missed some of them, here are the past JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R character trailers.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on September 2, 2022. A PS4 and PS5 demo is also on the way.

DNF Duel Troubleshooter Character Trailer Appears

The next DNF Duel character trailer is here and reveals the Troubleshooter will appear in the game. This is an advanced version of a Dungeon Fighter Online character. In the original game, that character begins as an Agent, then can become a Hitman, Secret Agent, Specialist, or Troubleshooter.

As with the Dungeon Fighter Online appearance, the DNF Duel Troubleshooter character seems to rely on the same sorts of weapons. The trailer begins with him wielding his Square Sword and a shotgun. It also looks like he still attacks using his different kinds of bombs, just like he does in the original game. However, it seems like his bayonet is absent here.

Here's the full video. The official description refers to him as a "jovial menace of the battlefield."

This is the second new character to appear in June 2022. The Launcher will be a part of the game. However, the Launcher this time looks more like the Mechanic, another advanced version of the Gunner Dungeon Fighter Online class.

Prior to that, other elements of the game appeared. Some character illustrations showed up, for example. The Story Mode, Gallery, and Glossary features also were showcased.

DNF Duel will some to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on June 28, 2022.

salome hyakumantenbara

On May 24, 2022, Nijisanji debuted a new VTuber, Hyakumantenbara Salome. She is the first VTuber from Nijisanji to debut alone. According to her lore, she is a normal girl who dreams of being a perfect lady, which is why she occasionally slips out of her classic 'ojousama' way of speaking. After less than two weeks, Salome now boasts over 1,000,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel. As of the time of writing, she has approximately 1.03 million subscribers.

Salome is the third Nijisanji VTuber to have over a million subscribers. Other Nijisanji VTubers with a million subscribers include Kanae, though Salome is the only female Liver with this number. She achieved this in around 14 days, beating out Gawr Gura's record of 39 days. Salome is also the fifth fastest Japanese YouTuber to get a million subscribers, and is the first one from Nijisanji.

So far, Salome has played games such as Grand Theft Auto V and Resident Evil 7: Village. She has less than twenty videos on her YouTube channel as of the time of writing, with each stream lasting under an hour and a half. During her debut stream, she showed off images of her certificate of residency, as well as photos of her gastroscopy. She also did not download Resident Evil 7: Village and spent more than half of the stream labeling different prefectures in Japan.

Hyakumantenbara Salome posts videos on YouTube, and is on Twitter as well.

Final Fantasy XIV FFXIV Patch 6.15 Tataru

Final Fantasy XIV's Patch 6.15 is now live, and Square Enix has published the new patch notes on the FFXIV website. The patch added new quests, mounts, items, and furnishing. Most of the new content is available to players who have purchased Endwalker. However, one of the entries in the patch notes confirmed access restrictions that apply to many older 32-bit PCs.

The FFXIV Patch 6.15 started blocking connections from TLS 1.0 and 1.1. That would render the game inaccessible to most Windows 7 and Mac 32-bit PCs. Square Enix formally ended support for 32-bit operating systems with the release of Shadowbringers in Summer 2019. However, it still let the legacy OS users access the online game until Patch 6.15.

On May 17, 2022, Square Enix encouraged 32-bit OS users to add TLS 1.2 support ahead of the FFXIV Patch 6.15 release date. While TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are the standard protocols used in these legacy OS, the company decided to block their connections due to security concerns. The current version of FFXIV supports 64-bit Windows 8.1, 10, and 11 PCs with DirectX 11 and TLS 1.2.

Final Fantasy XIV is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. In February 2022, Naoki Yoshida shared a roadmap of FFXIV updates that goes until Patch 6.5. The next patch to 6.18 will bring in the Data Center Travel and balance updates for Frontline.

One Piece Live-Action

A live-action One Piece series is in development under the aegis of Netflix, and the streaming giant's ongoing Geeked Week 2022 event gave fans a fresh look at the production. Star Iñaki Godoy, who plays Straw Hat Pirate Captain Luffy, and showrunners Steve Maeda and Matt Owens recorded a "sneak peek" at the physical sets being built for the show. Concept art for various locations and ships from the manga and how they'll look in the series was also shown.

Check out the teaser below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_zpkX3Z3hk

The sets are on location in South Africa, and the main one featured being built is a nearly full-size replica of Baratie, a massive floating restaurant. Baratie plays a large role in the One Piece live-action series, as it is one of the key locations of Luffy and crew's early adventures. The version of Baratie being built for the show is similar to the one in the manga, seen as a huge multi-storey restaurant with a giant, open fish's mouth and tail. The manga version is a little more like a large houseboat, though, while the live-action set has more ship-like features, such as a prow and aftcastle. There's a bar in the mouth of the fish, and it'll serve as a favorite spot of Zoro's in the episodes set on Baratie.

Other concept art and in-construction set shots showed physical set builds underway for places like Alvida's ship the Miss Love Duck, the Straw Hats' ship, Going Merry (a.k.a. the Merry Go), Partys Bar, in Luffy's hometown.

Netflix also confirmed more of the cast for the show in a separate tweet. The new roles include secondary characters like Klahadore the Butler, Mihawk the swordsman, Captain Morgan, and Nojiko, Nami's adoptive sister.

https://twitter.com/NetflixAnime/status/1533856253159452672

  • Klahadore - Alexander Maniatis
  • Mihawk - Steven Ward
  • Chef Zeff - Craig Fairbrass
  • Captain Morgan - Langley Kirkwood
  • Kaya - Celeste Loots
  • Nojiko - Chioma Umeala

The One Piece live-action series is in production, and will debut worldwide on the service. The manga is published in English by Viz Media, and creator Eiichiro Oda will take a one-month hiatus from the series later in June, returning on July 25, 2022.

Berserk manga will go past volume 41

The Berserk manga series will continue even after the death of its original creator, Kentaro Miura. The Young Animal magazine editing department published a statement that confirmed the manga's continuation on publisher company Hakusensha's website. The Japanese page also includes translations into English, Korean, and Chinese.

Kouji Mori, a fellow Young Animal manga artist and close friend of Kentaro Miura's, was told about the overall storyline of Berserk through its conclusion. The two talked about the series in detail when Miura requested Mori's help to create the iconic Eclipse scene in the early 1990s. At some point after Miura's death, the late manga artist's apprentices contacted Mori and Hakusensha about continuing the story.

Kentaro Miura's apprentices will continue the Berserk manga as a collective group named Studio Gaga. Kouji Mori will supervise the group based on recollections of his conversations with Miura. Mori also declared that he will only write complete episodes and lines that he had heard directly from Miura.

Kentaro Miura started publishing his Berserk manga in Hakusensha's Monthly Animal House magazine in 1989. Its first standalone tankobon volume came out in 1990. By the time Kentaro Miura died in May 2021, the series had 363 chapters and 40 tankobon volumes published. Chapter 364, which Miura had written and illustrated prior to his death, was published posthumously in September 2021. The series' 41st tankobon volume was published in December of the same year.

Japanese game companies have also made several video games based on the franchise. The latest entry is Berserk and the Band of the Hawk, a hack-and-slash action game available on the PS4, PS3, PS Vita, and PC.

The 365th chapter of Berserk will appear in the 13th issue of Young Animal 2022. The new manga magazine will go on sale in Japan on June 24, 2022. The group will produce five more chapters afterward to conclude the current Fantasia Arc/Elf Island Chapter.

PlayStation 2 Era Sony Group CEO and Chairman Nobuyuki Idei

Sony Group has published an obituary for Nobuyuki Idei. The former company group CEO and chairman died on June 2, 2022, due to liver failure. The PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable came out during his leadership in the early 2000s.

Born in 1937, Idei joined Sony Corporation in 1960. He eventually became the company's representative director and president in 1995, and CEO in 1998. During his tenure, he focused on improving the company's digital network business with the "Digital Dream Kids" slogan. In 2000, the Japanese government appointed him as the chairman of the IT Strategy Council that built the country's broadband network infrastructure.

Kenichiro Yoshida, the current group CEO, president, and chairman of Sony, also left a comment on the obituary. He worked as the general manager of the CEO Strategy Office between 1998 and 1999.

During Nobuyuki Idei's tenure as the company group CEO, Sony launched the VAIO PC brand, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable. The PS2 debuted in 2000. It would grow to become the most popular console of the time even after Nobuyuki Idei retired in 2005. By the time Sony discontinued its production around the 2013 New Year, the console had sold over 155 million units.

The PlayStation Portable also appeared in the last couple of years of Nobuyuki Idei's tenure. Sony's first portable game console lasted for around ten years, from 2004 to 2014, with over 80 million units sold during its lifespan. The company officially closed the PSP's PlayStation Store in July 2021.
