Are you more of a fan of star maps and mathematical distance calculations than all that tedious mucking about in hyperspace? Good news then, this fan-made Starfield system navigator is for you. We're still finding out about Starfield space travel between its thousand-odd worlds and MechWarrior-esque ship combat, but with the game's delay to 2023 we might have a while to wait for proper information on how moving between systems will work. Based on the information we have on the space game's revealed systems comparative to their real-world counterparts, user i_need_a_fast_horse has posted an early iteration of their Starfield navigation tool on Reddit. It shows a star map along with around 75 systems - which you can play around with to work out distances between stars, best warp-jump vectors, closest neighbours, connections based on light-years, and more. PCGamesN Sunday, July 3, 2022 7:54 AM  After a wonderful week of superb speedruns, Summer Games Done Quick 2022 has concluded with a total of over $3.01 million USD raised for international charity Doctors Without Borders. SGDQ 2022, which ran from June 26 - July 3, saw over 120 speedruns ranging from quick hits to longer runs. Some runners showcase incredible technical skill, some exploit weird mechanics and bugs with clever tricks, while others feature multiple runners playing to the crowd and simply embracing the joys of speedrunning. There's far too many outstanding runs to name them all, but we can certainly pick out a few highlights. Kicking off the show in style was a Shadow of the Colossus run from Rubiehart, who took on the game's towering beasts in a randomly selected order and showcased some incredible techniques to fling themselves up onto the more gargantuan giants. If you're into the more technical side of speedrunning, Helix13_ showed off Super Monkey Ball-like game Rolled Out in a snappy 20-minute run packed with cool moves. Groshiken displayed some fantastic technique to blast through platformer Celeste, while DemonChildElise showed off her skills in a mesmerising run of lesser-known time-rewinding 2D action game Cogen: Sword of Rewind. Meanwhile, Kekumanshoyu showcased the potential of 2021's Metroid Dread, and veteran runner Covert_Muffin demonstrated why Star Wars: Jedi Knight 2 is still one of the most watchable speedruns for its blend of glitches and high-skill trickery. PCGamesN Sunday, July 3, 2022 6:50 AM  While the new Call of Duty game is Modern Warfare 2 in October, it's looking likely that there won't be a mainline Call of Duty 2023 game, which would make Call of Duty 2024 the next proper entry in the FPS game series - and now, we may have the first details on two multiplayer maps for what could be the next Black Ops game. Apparently, an alpha test of the long-in-development Call of Duty: Warzone mobile version happened in May in certain regions, and players datamining the game's files have uncovered images and references to not only Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer maps - but also to Treyarch's Call of Duty 2024, too. Leaker @RealiityUK (via Charlie Intel) posted the images, which for Call of Duty 2024 show what seems to be loading screens for two maps called 'Stealth' and 'Pillage.' Stealth seems to be a US military base with a stealth fighter, and Pillage shows an interior of an old-fashioned building that looks European. PCGamesN Sunday, July 3, 2022 4:52 AM  QuakeCon 2022 kicks off in August and it's sure to bring all manner of fun announcements, and hopefully something to match the Quake remaster of 2021. It's not the most beloved FPS game, but it looks like a Quake 4 Game Pass release might be on the cards - that's the only thing that makes sense, as Xbox Insider wants players "to preview Quake 4." Quake 4 was developed by Raven Software and released in 2005, including digitally on a fledgling Steam - where it has remained ever since. It's also readily available on GOG. And yet, for some reason, Xbox wants people to "preview" this 17-year-old game. Just to make things more confusing, multiplayer game Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory is also available to preview - which was recently made free on Steam. We'd suggest these games were being made backward-compatible for Xbox consoles, except Microsoft said it wasn't doing that anymore - and this is definitely the PC version of Quake 4. Characters from Resident Evil Village and Ghosts' n Goblins will appear in Teppen, such as Lady Dimitrescu, Arthur, and Lady Donna. In order to do so, he must defeat the four Noble Families. Felicia from Vampire Hunter 2: Darkstalkers' Revenge will also play a role as a mischievous antagonist for the Noble Families. There is also a mysterious circus, which appears to be the Berry Big Circus from Ace Attorney. She will be part of the third anniversary park, which will launch on July 5, 2022. As well, new items will appear in the Soul Shop, such as music from Vampire Hunter 2: Darkstalkers' Revenge and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice for All. Teppen is a card game battle that allows you to command Capcom characters in real time. It is available on mobile devices. The Teppen update with Resident Evil Village characters is out now. Aniplex and Lasengle are hosting Fate/Grand Order panel at the 2022 Anime Expo, but fans unable to attend will have a place to go to celebrate the game's impending fifth Anniversary. That place? The "Metaverse". A special Fate/Grand Order Metaverse virtual space was opened on July 1, 2022, allowing fans to see some sights on their PC or mobile devices. Check out the tweet from the game's official account promoting the Fate/Grand Order metaverse space. It's worth pointing out that this is merely a 3D virtual space, and despite recent associations with the term "Metaverse", has no connection to NFTs, blockchain projects, or cryptocurrency. While in the FGO fifth Anniversary space, users will have their Cluster avatars replaced by versions of Ritsuka Fujimaru as seen in the Fate/Grand Order Learning With Manga series. There they can walk around, engage in voice chat with other users, and even ride in buggies resembling the Shadow Border mobile base. The Fate/Grand Order Metaverse has several attractions besides the parade area. To one side, three portals lead to scene reconstructions from the 2nd, 4th, and fifth Cosmos in the Lostbelt stories. One scene recalls the battle against the goddess Demeter, another the fight against Surtr, and a third places players atop Arjuna's Vimana, overlooking the Indian Lostbelt. A second "Game Center" attraction features a Noble Phantasm gallery, allowing users to pick up and fire off Altria's Excalibur, Napoleon's Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile, Cu Chulainn's Gae Bolg, and Gilgamesh's Enuma Elish. Behind the gallery is a shooting area, where users can pick up and throw out Emiya's twin swords, striking the insect-like crest worms of Zouken Matou. A third attraction is a brief roller-coaster ride set to the opening theme of the Fate/Grand Order Learning with Manga anime adaptation. The compact nature of the space means it's where players are likely to encounter some proximity-based voice chat. The final attraction of the Fate/Grand Order metaverse space is a small exhibit dedicated to the Singularity chapters, as well as the Pseudo-Singularities of the Phantom of Remnant storyline. The Fate/Grand Order Metaverse space is available on PC, Mac, and mobile devices via the Cluster app. FGO itself is available on Android and iOS.
