Often underrated despite their massive importance, the world's best goalkeepers might not be able to win matches on their own, but they can make sure you're walking off the pitch with a clean sheet.

In FIFA 22, Goalkeepers have been buffed to stem the huge flow of goals we saw in last year's game, making a solid goalie an even more powerful pickup for your career mode roster.

While it's still the same old names at the top of the tree - you don't need us to tell you Jan Oblak, Manuel Neuer, and Gigi Donnarumma are good, right - there are a few hidden gems to uncover across the best leagues in Europe and beyond.

Whether you're more into catenaccio or the gegenpress, defending is at the heart of any successful FIFA 22 team.

The rock in the middle of that defence is a powerful centre back, capable of breaking up play and setting up counterattacks with ease. While full-backs and more often wing-backs are the most fashionable position in football, covering a huge amount of ground between offensive and defensive transitions.

Across Europe's top 5 leagues - and world football in general - it's often said there's a dearth of top-quality defenders, with the game currently in a particularly attacking strategic phase.

Square Enix's TGS 2021 show just wrapped up, and one of the bigger highlights has been a new trailer for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. Outside of showing off a new slice of gameplay, the trailer also revealed the game's release date.

The Team Ninja-developed action RPG arrives March 18 on PC (EGS), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game appears much more polished in this new gameplay. Colours in particular pop more, and the image overall is sharper.

Part of that is because one of the new areas shown is inspired by the Sunleth Waterscape from Final Fantasy 13, but you can definitely see a big boost in characters and environmental detail.

Finely diced.

Lost in Random tells a story of two sisters, Even and Odd, who inhabit a fantastical storybook world of woollen chess pieces and steampunk teapots and the like. They're separated by the Queen in accordance with a draconian tradition that sees children roll a dice on their twelfth birthday to determine their station for the rest of their life. When Odd is whisked away, Even sets off to find her, befriending as she goes a magical dice named... Dicey.

The world is structured in six realms — linked to the faces of the dice — from Onecroft, the lowliest of the low, to Sixtopia, representing a fantasy life of luxury with the Queen. Even starts off in Onecroft and set off to find Odd in Sixtopia, passing in turn through Two-Town, Threedom, etc. The gateways between realms can be opened only when you have enough pips on your dice, and those are acquired by completing quests in the world as you explore. In the course of traversing the towns to find and complete these quests, you encounter battles.

Destiny 2: what is the Legendary Lost Sector today?

Are you looking for the Legend or Master Lost Sector locations in Destiny 2? While many Destiny 2 Exotics can be bought from Xûr or even in the world loot pool, the Exotics in these special Lost Sector instances cannot, forcing players to explore these dangerous areas if they want the best equipment available. To make matters worse, you have to complete them on your own to get a chance at the best rewards.

Before you can take on Legend Lost Sectors, you need to complete all the normal Lost Sectors first. If you don't, the new Legend Lost Sectors will not appear on the map. There are two quests per day in which the location, modifiers, and rewards rotate out for something new. The location for the Legend Lost Sector quests appear with the daily reset at 5pm UTC.

It's important to remember that Exotic drops are not guaranteed after completing these quests, so you may have to run through the same Lost Sector multiple times. You can go through them quests with a fireteam, but your rewards will be reduced to Enhancement Cores only.

I immediately fell in love with Strange Horticulture when I played the demo, and now I've had a few hours with a longer, more polished preview build I am even more in loverer. I do not understand why this is not everyone's most anticipated game ever. Imagine if all the horrible shouting griefers playing war games put down their weapons and picked up a strange plant and a taxonomic tome. What a world that would be! Certainly a world with more plant shops, anyway, though probably not (m)any as strange as Strange Horticulture.

You inherit this shop, along with its secrets, a folding map of the area to go exploring, and shelves of odd plant specimins. Sometimes it is raining. It is a real October vibe. There is a strange mystery, involving cultist and murder - a stranger in a beautiful jade mask comes to the shop, sometimes, as well as the detective struggling to solve a number of troubling murders in the area. But what care I for that? I am deep role-playing as a horticulturalist.

Firegirl Preview 1I want to love when new firefighting games come out. It all started with Human Entertainment's The Firemen, a top-down SNES game where you played as, you guessed it, firemen that charged into burning buildings. Not counting that game's sequel, nothing has hit the same highs since. After taking a single look at Firegirl: Hack 'n Splash Rescue, my hopes were, ahem, rekindled. It's an upcoming 2.5D firefighting game where you play as a firefighter, and the demo is about to make landfall. I got to check out the Firegirl demo early and I was quite surprised by what I found in the preview. Firegirl's titular heroine is the daughter of a famous firefighter, renowned at the fire department at which she starts working. For whatever reason, her exploits are watched by fans, who are represented by a number in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Sometimes they cheer. They also donate money to you after missions. The demo begins with Firegirl arriving at the fire...

I consider Half-Life: Alyx played in VR to be one of the greatest gaming experiences I've ever had but for a lot of people it's just not possible and so the No VR Mod is in progress.

For whatever reason some cannot use VR be it due to price, physical ability and more. But if you still want to be able to experience the story first-hand you're currently a bit stuck. There are a few hacky mods floating around to enable mouse/keyboard support but they're all really quite rough. The No VR Mod looks like a different breed though, with smooth movement and it all just looks good.

Modder SoMNst has been working with Optimus97, Quackson and Nicklaus on it and they've recently provided a new video to show it off that you can see below (obvious spoiler alert!):

While many VR enthusiasts will probably think it's some sort of sacrilege, I'm glad there's people willing to do this.
